TL;DR Roach infested hotel. Avoid. Full story: We reserved two rooms for 6 nights as we were visiting family in the area. For one of the rooms over the course of two nights we killed two cockroaches in the bathroom. We complained and they apologized and moved us to another room saying they will get an exterminator. The last morning of our stay we found a third cockroach in the new room. I notified them again upon checkout and this person said that they had paid for exterminator services recently. I noted this was an unpleasant stay and they apologized without offering any compensation. I don't believe this hotel meets standards for a Quality Inn and I will be forwarding this review to the Choice corporate executive team. I wonder if the Stuart/Martin County Health Department should be notified as well. Lizards and sugar ants may be common in Florida but cockroaches are a whole different issue. Other than a 10% discount at the independent restaurant adjacent to the hotel I see no positive aspects worth mentioning. It's ironic that I chose this place due to issues at the previous hotel we stayed at. I will be looking elsewhere for my next stay and encourage you to do the same. read more

Insanely gross. I notified the inadequate front desk woman of the issues. She offered nothing absolutely nothing. I've emailed the GM repeatedly. For $150 I expect a clean and safe place to stay. You need to refund me immediately. The white splatter of male bodily fluid dried on BOTH the headboards along with hand and ass prints is DISGUSTING. Lord only knows what a black light would uncover . Moldy bath mat, cracked literal holes in the bathtub, so many pubes and all different shapes and sizes. One right next to the folded towels. Worst experience ever! For one I would NEVER choose a quality inn as a viable hotel (if that's what you want to call it) but my son had a 1/2 marathon to run in Stuart and this is where most of the runners stayed being that it was closest to the race start and it was only for less than a 12 hour stay. Longest 12 hours ever. Started with check in. I pre paid through chase travel yet the hotel charged me again for a night and not just incidentals. We got to the room it was old, smelled damp and just ugh. Now I am definitely a hotel snob and normally stick with Marriott and Hilton but I have been in smaller hotels that were still nice and worth the money. This one not so much. As the rest of the team arrived they had the same experience AND multiple people in our party were charged double. Some even charged 4 times when they looked at their card. We approached the front desk. They were super rude and acted like they had no idea what we were talking about. I called chase to fight it for me and even the lady at chase called me back and said they were so rude. Long story short, according to what they told chase, I should be refunded in 5-7 days. One of the track coaches for my son's school had to go to the front desk because her key stopped working the lady was rude about that also asking if she put it near her phone .. who cares! She needs another key not a lecture. The bathrooms were so old and the mats for the tub looked like they should have been outside. Needless to say. No one showered, we just waited until we arrived back home. The only plus is that it's connected to a flannigans so we were able to drink to get thru the night. If you listen to ANY review in Yelp. Please listen to this DO NOT STAY HERE! even if it's for a few hours and it's closest to your destination DO NOT. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE , OLD QUESTIONABLE ROOMS AND SCAMMY ACTIVITY ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS. I'm going to go take another shower after even writing and reliving the experience in this review. I have stayed at this motel a couple of times for work purposes. First off, let's start with the positives. The bed seems comfortable enough. The staff have been polite and I have not heard any loud noises but my coworkers had to listen to a domestic violence police call. The parking seems safe enough. The shower has plenty of hot water. Now the reasons for the low rating. While the shower is plenty hot it's never has been quite clean. I have stayed her multiple times and always find hair on the walls. This time was especially great with a slow draining shower. When we stay here it's usually for a week and during that time we don't get any house keeping. They will probably use Covid as an excuse but I don't buy it. They advertise and mention a free breakfast. I have stayed in many hotels and motels across the nation. I know the difference between breakfast and continental breakfast. Never say you have a breakfast when you don't offer it. A few muffins and granola bars is not a breakfast, it's an insult. read more

It's dirty, no air conditioning in hallways. Kids are running up and down hallways. My room that I reserved was not available and the ac was off in the room so it was 90 in there when I arrived. My dog is registered as a service dog and I have ADA cards but not good enough so I got charged $30 per day for my service dog. read more

When I'm reading reviews I was reluctant to stay here but the room was extremely comfortable, clean and quiet. There were no stains, smells, discoloration in carpets, walls or roofs or issues with appliances, bathroom fixtures, toiletries, towels, blankets and pillows. The only thing that was older than I'd hope was the TV. They gave plenty of everything you may need. I hope breakfast is good tomorrow, but for the price, this is your best option for the money. read more

The person who greeted us was not welcoming, in fact a bit confrontational. The room we got 115 had a overwhelming Oder of mold, there was burn wholes in the sheets that was very scratchy. I don't know how they called the sofa size pillows comfortable. We had to get ready for a wedding and there was no closet or place to hang clothes. There was a red chair that the cushions were torn and stained that was our only resort to put my dress and husbands tux on. The beds well let's just say it was as good as a sinking air mattress. The next morning we went to the breakfast, and was told it's served till 10. We got there at 9:30 and they were packing it all up. Horrible....Never again. read more

RoseMarie General Manager has been professional from first phone call..#1 in that department in about 30 hotels in FL..that being said..3 complaints out of her control..Cheap hotels need to cut costs not service..No POOL open? The hotel down strest is open .Breakfast is not open. Fine but throwing me water muffin granola bar is not the same as your regular breskfast..Slowest Lobby Computer..The next time I ever get a hotel it will be because I want to go there. This is one of those places where you get what you pay for. We were looking for the cheapest, yet not seedy, place around and we got it. The beds were okay, not too comfortable but not unbearable. I checked them for bedbugs when we got there and the mattresses/sheets/pillows were bug free. Everything appeared to be pretty clean although slightly worn. The room was a good size, I was about to open my suitcase and leave it on the floor and still be able to have plenty of room to walk around. The carpet and the bathroom floors felt kind of dirty though, like they needed to steam clean the carpet and scrub the bathroom floor. It didn't make the bottom of my barefeet black or anything it just didn't feel clean. I wish the balcony door opened though because it was beautiful out when we were there and it would have been nice to have fresh air. The air conditioner worked okay as did the fan but when it kicked on it got quite loud and woke us up a few times. The pool area was nice and the grounds were kept. I did notice on the rafters there were teensy tiny ants which I know is a common problem down there. Thankfully I didn't see one near my stuff until we were checking out. There was free wifi and the front desk gave us the code but it didn't work on the Kindle so we could read. It worked on our cell phones so we didn't go over on our data though. I didn't bring my laptop so I can't tell you about that but there was a computer in the lobby and I was able to checkin for my flight and print my boarding pass down in the lobby which was nice and convenient. It could use an upgrade but for $80 a nice in this area you're not really getting much cheaper. If you want a really comfortable bed and nice amenities then stay in a more pricey resort/hotel. My daughter stayed here and her rings were stolen from her room! Management was contacted and didn't seem to care, the police were called and she was told that nothing can be done. There is a statement on the back of the guest room door stating they are not responsible for your belongings in your room....crazy! When they arrived they were told they didn't have reservations, after a long argument, it turned out they had spelled the name wrong. Awful experience, I do not recommend! read more

It doesn't allow a zero rating, unfortunately. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in and for $175 a night. Should have paid attention to the reservation person saying "no refunds" over 10 times. Stains on towels and pillow cases. Rusted metal fixtures. Rusty tissue holder falling off wall. Lamp shades were filthly (dusty and stained). Holes in the wall. Clock and remote for tv didn't work. AC unit falling off the wall. Two outlets hidden behind headboard. Hair and tape in bed. Mold and grim in shower and bathroom floor. Paint spots all over bathroom floor. Sink clogged. Toilet running continuously. Carpet was filthy with un-vacuumed hair and dirt. For non-smoking hotel, cigarette smell all throughout hallways, as well as pot smoke. No closet. Shower curtain rod falling off wall and curtain bunched in middle and water coming out both sides. TV reception terrible and picture didn't fit screen. DEAD BOLT DIDN'T WORK. Front desk help was useless and rude. We wanted to leave but money was non-refundable, but we couldn't afford to pay for an additional hotel. We gave them an opportunity to make it right, but they refused. Actually, they didn't care! For the record, I don't like leaving bad reviews. However, in this situation others should know and not have to experience this!! No stairs. No wifi. Positive, the ac and mini-fridge worked. read more

My entire family recently booked rooms there for a wedding (about 5 rooms). All but one room canceled and left for another hotel. My niece and I arrived around 10pm on a Friday. You could tell immediately that the place was old and run down. The carpets were stained and the whole place smelled of mildew. The woman at the front desk almost seemed embarrassed and I feel for her as this is obviously a problem of bad management who doesn't care about their hotel. We were given room 117 and against our better judgment we went to the room as it was late. I got 2 feet into the room and realized that it hadn't been cleaned since the last guest. Sheets were still unmade. We went right back to the front desk and asked for another room. The woman there was very apologetic and said "I can't believe this happened again". We were issued another room (131). Although this one had been "cleaned" it still felt dirty. The chair had gigantic stains and the dresser had something running down the side that hadn't been cleaned and the tub was gross. But since it was so late we decided to suck it up and stay just for that night until we could find a new place. While I was in the bathroom getting ready for bed, my niece yelled that she had found bugs. Now, understanding that a 16 year old can be a bit dramatic at times, I didn't believe her until I saw it with my own eyes. We pulled back more of sheets and sure enough there were tiny bugs. I can't say for certain what species they were or if they were bed bugs but we certainly weren't taking any chances. We packed our things and left about 20 minutes later. The other members of our party canceled soon after and were told they had been having problems all week. While the one person we had dealt with was very friendly and apologetic, it is very clear that this hotel is neglected by the management and there didn't seem to be any attempt to improve the interior or even clean it. Had luggage stolen during the last night of my trip. Lost clothing and medication (Approx. $400). Door was left open and was told the only other card key used during that time was housekeeping. A last-minute decision to attend a softball tournament in the area found us at the last hotel with open reservations. It was standard motel: clean, ample room, with nice pool, decent free breakfast, and an attached Flanagan's Restaurant. The bed was comfortable (no bedbugs, because I checked!) The room had enough walking area, desk, easy chair, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, etc. The bathroom was good enough, though I spent most of my showers chasing the shower curtain from side to side or stepping on its length. Since the room was $80+/-, it was consistent to what I would expect for that price. . The personnel (front desk, maid, and lady who handled the breakfast area) were friendly. The general manager of these place its a racistt that treated us so bad, terrible attitud and discrimination because we are hispanics, she cancelled us the reservetion because she was giving us another price different that what we paid through booking.com, said check in time was at 3 so I went in a little earlier than that, but there were people in front of us, white of course and she gave them a room but not to us, we had a reservation too, and we were trying to get an explanation and she simply said that she wasnt gonna argue with us and told us your reservetion is cancelled, just like that !!! leaving us without a place to stay, Im taking this to whoever I have to take it to, this is unacceptable, so rude and racist and now we dont have a place to stay! We are here for a swimming competition that we gonna have to miss for this lady if you can even call her that, for her rudness and horrible costumer service, how can she have the power to cancel a reservation just like that? The woman at the front desk was by far the rudest person that I have ever encountered when it comes to customer service. As I was waiting for checkout, she answered two phone calls and was blatantly rude to the callers and very condescending. I gave her the benefit of the doubt as we all have bad days but then she got nasty with me. She told me the room I stayed in was not pet friendly even though I made them aware we had pets and they stated they were pet friendly. She told me she was charging my card, there was nothing I couldn't do about it, to vacate the property, called me a liar, I asked for her name she covered her name tag and said "it's none of your business get out of my hotel." I have never been spoken to in my life like this from anyone, let alone someone in customer service. I contacted their corporate office as she does not represent their company well and I surely will never be back there or any hotel affiliated with them. Low price is this motels best feature. Check in was friendly and the location is good. The room smelled of dog and stale cigarettes (though we were warned profusely about the penalty for smoking in the room). If money is the only issue, staying here is not dangerous to your health, but our next stay in the area we will spend the extra 10 bucks for another star. For a two star stay I was satisfied. I'm a local who was fortunate enough to stay 4 day's at this Hotel. Front Desk staff especially Matt was very nice and informative. My room was very nice, clean and fresh smelling.Large Flatscreen TV, Full size Stainless Steel Refrigerator, good size kitchen w/ new coffee maker, microwave, stainless steel sink, plenty of cabinets, and bug free. The bathroom was newly renovated as was the rest of the room. Very clean, and cleaning staff was very nice and accommodating. Linens and Bath towels were spotless, clean, and plush. The carpet was clean and smelt nice. The pool area was immaculate, they even offer an AUTOMATIC Diability hoist chair for the disabled and elderly to be able to enjoy their very nice pool. Pool towels right at the pool for our convenience, Umbrella Tables W/ nice pool chairs. Also nicely done lounge chairs w/ side tables. Flannagans Restaurant & Bar connected, and the food is fresh and delicious. Hotels Free Breakfast Bar was fantastic, and the Breakfast Concierge was very helpful and nice. The food was delicious, and plenty of different Breakfast foods to choose from.Fresh Fruits etc. This area was also very clean and immaculate. I took pictures and hope to show you that this Hotel is a very good place to stay. And BTW they have great security. You will feel safe and it is very quiet, so getting a good night's sleep is no problem. Truly this Quality Inn has renovated the areas that I saw and stayed in and that was just this Jan 22nd-25th. This Quality inn was like many others, you get mostly quality! We stayed in a Clarion motel for 4 days, and then we left and stayed in the quality inn for 1 night so we could have somewhere to sleep since we didn't finish at our job site. The clarion had a higher star rating, but that was definitely not true! Staying at the Clarion was a mistake! This place is much cleaner, nicer, and had a better breakfast no doubt! If you have a pet with you, make sure you call them rather book online. I got all the way down here only to find out there were no pet rooms available. Orbitz noted the $20 charge for pets, but not that I needed to make a "pet room" reservation. Very frustrating, plus the GM was not nice at all about it. Stay somewhere else! read more
