This place doesn't deserve a token two star. Upon check in around 5pm on 4/30/24, I was met by a clerk I must have disturbed her setting time or nap. Politely stating"no rush" as she meandered out of a back room. I meant no rush. However things quickly went down hill and I responded likewise to the tone and demeanor of the clerk. Here on business, and the hotel was picked by my employer, I know I will refuse this place should I ever come back here. Mockingly the purple haired clerk gave me a room far away from my coworkers and with now outside window in front of the elevator. I do not appreciate being treated this way. This a rundown place. This is just a warning to others. I don't care or need to hear from anyone at the company. read more

Manager does not care how long an overcharge takes to get refunded. Terrible breakfast. Unsanitary rooms. Especially that bathroom I stayed in. Can't possibly believe this is the same place I stayed last time. Definitely need to let corporate come take a look. For some reason the cable in this hotel has issues but if you like a cheap place with truck parking and a decent restaurant and you don't care if your room is dirty this is the hotel for you! Every time I travel for work I stay for the truck parking and restaurant convenience but the hotel is in dire need of management. The rooms are always dirty. We stayed at this hotel as a stop on a longer road trip. The price was right as we planned to arrive late and leave early in the morning. We arrived. Check-in was easy and quick as they had our reservation set to go (keys programmed, etc). We'd requested a renovated room, and our request was met. Our room was on the second floor which was fine. However, we were traveling with some large items that we didn't want to leave unattended in the car. We needed an elevator to get them in the room. While they did have carts to help us get the items into the hotel, there were only 2 elevators located around a labyrinth of hallways far from our room and parking space. During our walk, we did get to see much of the hotel. Two large entertaining areas set for banquets, weddings, etc. These rooms are open to the hotel rooms around and above the areas. Much of the hotel was dark as the hotel didn't have many guests and/or was undergoing renovation. Our renovated room was nice. You can tell that they are making an effort to improve the rooms/hotel. I did notice that they did not all aspects of the room. For example, the tub and shower fixtures were part of the original room. They were old and didn't work properly as the tub did not drain without you manually opening the trap every few seconds. Definitely worth the price. Would stay again if on the road... read more

Apparently the hotel was really bad at one point. Not the case now. All rooms are now renovated (per desk staff). My room is one of the first renovated so has a bit more use than the most recent. It is very up to date and looks nice. The bed is comfortable as is the little sofa in the room. The room is clean which is always great. Desk staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant is nice. Decent prices and portion sizes. Food is tasty and visually appealing as well. read more

Checked in expecting the hotel in the picture, especially for more than $100 and that's not what we got. The room smells of cigarettes and is generally dirty and dated. Unfortunately for us it's too late to find a new hotel as we have been driving all day. I understand they are remodeling but maybe don't charge so much for the yet to be remodeled rooms or warn us when we called to book. I spoke with the front desk and they moved us to a new room. It's better but not the updated rooms shown. (We have a dog with us and that was the reason.) read more

We booked a room for a large private event that had been planned at least 6 months in advance. The entire hotel was reserved for this event and it was abruptly cancelled 2 weeks prior to the event. The hotel was fully aware of the type of event planned. They cancelled because the hotel owners disagreed with the views and beliefs of the group attending, only after they received a complaint from someone in the town that didn't agree with the type of event being hosted. In addition to cancelling the event, they did not call or notify any of the guests of this cancellation. This hotel has questionable business ethics and practices discrimination. We don't recommend booking it for any private events. read more

The hotel was undergoing construction at the time of our stay so I understand some messiness, but we were assigned a room at the very end of the building, and it was like there was no heat turned on in this area of the hotel. The bathroom floor must have been 40 degrees, so it was almost painful to walk on, and the individual room heater would blow at its maximum and it only seemed to spit out barely lukewarm air. Over the entire night our room maybe warmed up a degree or two. Otherwise the hotel staff seemed nice. read more

Less than average motel. Stayed 3 nights and never had a maid come to dump trash or make bed. Excuse was they were full up with weddings and reunions. No maid service for 3 days? Give me a break. Is this a motel or a flop house? And the included breakfast was served on styrofoam plates with plastic utensils. Yuck. Unconscionable in this day and age. The hotel is currently renovating and lobby looked great! Some of the rooms have been completed and some haven't. We stayed in one that has not been renovated yet but it was very nice for the cheap rate we got and had everything we needed for 1 night! It's located right off of the highway which was super convenient for us. The free breakfast in the morning had a lot of options. Also pet friendly, another plus! The front desk agent was very helpful and polite. I would recommend this hotel. read more

Well I have to say I was happy with the price I paid for a jacuzzi room, but very unhappy about having a room where a school event was going on and there was people selling candy right outside my door I feel they should of gave me another room due to know about the school event it made me very uncomfortable every time I had to leave my room or return back to my room. We are from the Cincinnati area, and had to travel to N.W. Ohio for an emergency. We had to reserve a room at the last minute. Got a great rate, they put us in a "refurbished room". It was great, the bed was super comfy, the wi-if was unbelievably fast, flat screen TV with a ton of channels. We had dinner at the Restaurant "Wynn's" and the food was delicious, the service was quick & friendly, & the prices were very reasonable.. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant, even if we weren't staying at the hotel! And, would also, highly recommend the hotel if we come back to this area Scott L read more

GIVING ONE STAR FOR THE LACK OF A LOWER RATING!!!! We had the most pathetic experience possible in this hotel! And mind you don't think that if you have the upgraded rooms you will experience any additional level of comfort or luxury!! Me and my family were driving down from NewYork to Minnesota and halted at this hotel on the 1st day of new year to break journey and get some rest as it had been a long drive from NewYork and with kids who were exhausted!!! We check into one of the upgraded rooms of this hotel at about 9:30 PM and to our horror & disgust find hair on pillows and sheets! It was an utter disgusting feeling. We contacted the reception to get housekeeping to change our sheets. The lady was ofcourse apolologetic but said there was no one to change sheets so asked us to change rooms. We packed our stuff again and moved to a different "upgraded room". There too it was the same problem!!! Now at 10 in the night with dead tired kids and extreme cold weather conditions we just could not think of moving to a different hotel. The reception lady suggested we get new sheets and pillow cases. Can you believe it that on asked for some help in changing the sheets the lady refused!!!!!!!!. We were expected to change the sheets on our own!!!! We had paid for this place and all we wanted was a good night's sleep before we resumed our road journey the next day... And at 10 in the night we were changing the sheets of a hotel bed!!! I mean how disgusting and ridiculous is that!! Is this how the hospitality industry works!!!!!!!! Shame on this hotel! This hotel has no ethics or standards at all. We had a room booked for 4 months at this hotel with a great group that we have been a part of for a long time and that we follow around to other nice hotels around the states with no issues. We were notified by the planners that the hotel just cancelled our event and will not be taking us at the hotel like we are some kind of criminals! We were NEVER notified by the hotel itself that we no longer had reservations. I could not believe that someone would do business like this! We had been planning this weekend for months and arranged babysitting and long distance travel plans with airfare and are left just devastated and out of money for airfare among other things like taking time off from work to plan this. Who would do this to an entire group of people for no reason other than hate? I have read the reviews and they were not good to begin with and sounded like a below average hotel at best, but we were willing to go to follow the wonderful group that always do. Think hard people before you book with a business who would do this to so many people and spend your money elsewhere and they have just cost us a lot with nothing to show. read more
