TV, mini fridge, wi-fi, and nuke in good working order; picnic tables under real trees on real grass out front for anyone so inclined with a little bit time which should be me but rarely ever is... woke up a little too early for anything then got up too late for breakfast so your guess is as good as mine, but yeah, I'm okay with OK.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quick check in, the cleanliness of the hotel lobby area and my room. The fitness room was small but well equipped so I could get a good workout in after a day of driving. I had a quiet room that overlooked fields in the back. I felt safe and comfortable and I got a decent nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was decent too. The only drawback for this hotel is that if you want dinner, you're going to have to drive a bit down into Montpelier or Bryan as the options directly around the hotel are limited. I was not inclined to go out again, so I ended up eating the snacks I brought for dinner.

This area doesn't have a lot of hotels but there's a Quality Inn, a motel, and this hotel all within a block or two. I have the IHG credit card so I chose this hotel. I booked a room with 2 queen beds since it was cheaper than 1 king; upon check-in, I asked if they had any kings, hoping maybe I would get a free upgrade since I have silver status with them, but unfortunately they said a room with a king bed would be $30 more, so I kept my original room. Pros: -spacious room, and the bed was comfortable -only three floors and you're never far from the elevator -has both a minifridge and a microwave. The minifridge was rather tall actually and when I tried to open the fridge it kept moving a little bit -free breakfast and some of the reviews on here were complaining about it, whereas others called it a continental breakfast. It was a typical of IHG breakfasts I have experienced lately and it actually had quite a lot of hot options too -The Wi-Fi was fast and mostly reliable, however it would not work for my Nintendo Switch. I had no issues for my iPad and phones though. Cons: -rooms are definitely a bit dated. However, my room was very clean. -No restaurant on site but that is typical of Holiday Inn Express hotels that I have stayed at. There's a restaurant attached to Quality Inn called JJ Winns that I did takeout from, which was good. -The minifridge was actually too cold; I put a bottle of water in the side door so I would have it for pills for the morning and it was actually mostly ice in the morning unfortunately. I'm sure this can be adjusted but I didn't think to do so. Overall I would stay here again, it was an adequate stay and the price wasn't too bad either (about $122 for the night, before taxes, comparable to the other hotels in the area).

But here is my issue, newly remodeled room is fantastic, but to me the bed is a bit on the firm side and why not put in a taller toilet! I just moved from the Holiday Inn express, which is a challenge, particularly in the breakfast where they have a beeping sound that bothers you so can't even have a quiet breakfast to the remote controls. The location is actually good for the area (right down the street from Wal-Mart, grocery stores, and several restaurants). The only issue I had was the first set of keys did not work because the door battery was dead. The front desk person took care of it right away and there were no other issues. The place feels very homey. The tvs are a little older, but it had a lot of channels. The bed was actually very comfortable and the sheets seemed pretty clean. The ac system on the side worked well, but it was a little loud. Overall, this is the place to stay in Bryan and I would definitely go back.

Always something about hotel lobbies, fireplaces, and good friends that is satisfying. The Friday night buffet is BBQ, and following a week of Great Smokies's dining, we were eager to enjoy "German style" meals. Brisket was better than southern; pulled pork had no flavor; ribs were burned; great salad bar; very few veggies. Rustic-style hotel located within the Sauder Village complex, featuring an indoor pool with a waterfall, complimentary hot breakfast, and charming timber-frame architecture. We had a very unfortunate experience getting to Hillsdale from Detroit in our rental car from Avis (nightmare is more accurate) and he was more than accommodating, polite, understanding and very helpful during the entire time. The hotel is in a pleasant and charming neighborhood in close proximity to Hillsdale College and downtown. The grounds are well kept and welcoming. Check in was a breeze and our room was perfect. Some of the rooms do share common bathrooms, but this was expected and fine with us. Back in the day most of Europe was like this and we were used to it. The common areas were clean and cozy, other guests were fun to chat with and the "guest Haas" feeling was welcoming. The continental breakfasts were light and fresh, more than adequate. They've been so accommodating. Even more so than the 4 star hotel across the road. They have round the clock house keeping. The "maids" are very nice and accommodating. They do not drive you crazy with cleaning your room during your stay unless you request it. AC works great in the rooms. They've updated the rooms/bathrooms. The restaurant food here is amazing! The people who work here work really hard! Quiet for the most part. This is an event location but there were no event noise issues while we were here for our 2 week stay in July. Great meeting spaces! Nice gym and new equipment New beautiful bathrooms in atrium! The bad Some of this is being nit picky so take it with a grain of salt. Someone got a bunch of ice super early in the morning a couple of days in a row, maybe for the restaurant? I don't know. The doors are pretty thin so you hear everything. There were a couple of female maids that were a little noisy in the hallways between talking loudly and having the music on their phones blasting in the hall while cleaning. Only happened a couple of times during our stay and not during sleep hours. The restaurant floors can be super slick. The hotel rooms/bathrooms are updated but they still need some cosmetic work. SLICK bathroom floor! There is serious need for repair in the pool room and Sheetrock throughout the hotel. Humidity is pretty high but no appearance or smell of mold that I have seen. The rooms on the inside have the typical floor split units that blow into the large atrium room (not outside) so I'm concerned that this is partly what's causing the humidity in the hotel. I think there's 4 star potential with attention to detail and some investment. I hope to see this place continue to improve!

This is just a warning to others. I don't care or need to hear from anyone at the company.
