This place should be called the "No Quality Inn". Every thing is dirty from floor to the walls to the restroom. The smell of marijuana permeated throughout the hallways especially on the second floor. The American flag is on one line flapping around. This is the hotel they use at the start of horror movies. We feel lucky to have made it out alive! It gets a one star because there is no option for negative stars.

My family took a long drive upstate NY In the Catskills region and forgot to book a room. Every place was booked but thank goodness Quality Inn & Suites still had rooms available. I also have my dog with me and they are a pet friendly Inn. I will definitely come back here since they have so much to see and visit in the area. It's clean, staff is superb, coffee 24 hrs, and a hot continental breakfast. I hope this review was helpful.

BEDBUGS in room. Included photos. I've been here numerous times and never had a problem. Here booked 3 nights due to my rental being worked on. First night, right after midnight we felt like we were getting bitten and turned on the lights to find various sized bedbugs skittering across our sheets. I put one in a zip loc bag to show the front desk. The night shift receptionist told me it must be fleas (like that's better???) And I said, no, definitely bedbugs. I showed her the bag and she said that this hotel never had bedbugs but as a courtesy she would switch our rooms. So now at almost 1am I had to move my 3 year old, my husband who had to be at work at 4 am, myself and all of our stuff 8 doors down. The new room looks bed bug free but is dirty. There's crud and crumbs all along the floor and the wall and underneath the mattress is a mess of dirt and pubes. In the morning I took my bedbug back to the front desk, expecting an apology maybe even getting our first night comped. The man and woman told me plainly that the hotel does not have bedbugs and told me I brought them in. That's it. That was their resolution. I'm angry more about the way this has been handled than anything else AND there ARE BED BUGS IN ROOM 110 fyi. I dont know if this place has a new manager or what but its gone downhill fast and the service is abhorrent. There are sketchy men in the hallway all night and the hotel itself is dirty and in disrepair. Not a safe feeling. As a Choice rewards member I will NEVER come here again or continue recommending it to my mother who flies here every couple months, or anyone else! If you're from out of town keep driving! Not worth the risk! No one has resolved this and I dont expect anyone will. Esp if you have kids, highly recommend you drive the extra 15 mins down 88 for a better experience.

I attached the paperwork and the inside paperwork that is given to you when you come to the motel. You can see on the paperwork that there literally cannot be any emergencies or you'll get charged for them. We had something crawling above our heads the enter night. It sounded like something running fast in one room and something tiptoeing in the other room. This would not have been on their emergencies so we didn't call. We were woken up with pounding on our door from room service. We were not ready to get going at 8:24 in the morning so we had to get dressed to answer the door. Check out is by 11, which is normal and fine, check in had to be done by 3:45 or they would let us know where they were putting the keys? Needless to say, we checked in by 3:45. There were no food options, store options or any accommodations available after 3:45 PM. Do not have an emergency, they will charge you. Our experience was not pleasant and we will not be back to the motel. The pool was closed and that wasn't an option for us to do either.

Stayed here in the family suit for Howe caverns "Naked in a Cave" event where you explore the cave and it's wonders, wearing nothing but a smile and comfortable shoes! Staying at the motel was extremely convenient as the main attraction is a short walk from the Motel. The suit consisted of 2 rooms with 2 double beds and a shared bathroom. The only down side to the shared bathroom was the water pressure, which made the shower more of a gentle mist than a shower. The pool was still open mid September which was great, however not heated so was a bit chilly to dip. Overall though this spot is clean, comfortable and a great value!

One morning my hosts allowed my sister to enjoy the breakfast with me, even though she was not a guest. The Inn is an oasis from the busy world and while I was staying there it allowed me to finish one book, and take in all the ambiance of a richly appointed Inn. The Portobello is ideally situated so that I could easily get to Utica, Herkimer, and the wonderful Little Falls Canal Days celebration during my stay, Driving a car is a delight in the Mohawk Valley! Starbucks watch out...lol. The warm croissants are made each and every morning by Jacob. Our Mountain View room had a king size bed, which was so comfortable and oversized pillows that felt like clouds. Everything was so luxurious and very clean. Coming back to our room on Valentine's Day, we found a box of chocolates and a Rose left on our bed. What a pleasant surprise! You can tell that Jacob, his family and staff really love what they do. It's this small family feel that you will not find at any hotel chain. Downstairs there's a lounge area with board games, a foosball table and lots of places to sit, eat, read, talk and just relax. There's a separate building with a heated pool and a sauna right outside. We didn't get a chance to use this, but look forward to it the next time. You have access to the Windham Path right from the property as well. Lots of restaurants in town and our favorite breakfast place, Clutch and Throttle is a must go to. And make sure you visit the Gem Mercantile for your clothing needs or gifts to take back home. We are looking forward to another visit to Hotel Vienna in the future.

The numerous fountains and gardens framing the mill house are hard not to be enchanted with, and this is just the beginning. Ron and Judith are gracious hosts, with Ron having some amazing stories to tell. People wrote in the guest book in the Mill House that Ron should write down his memoirs, and listening to him for ten minutes will make you agree. The main Grist Mill Emporium will amaze you, with its numerous games (billards table, checkers, puzzles, tv, etc.) and of course, its amazing ice cream parlor with complimentary ice cream, toppings, sodas and other beverages! Heading over to the Mill House (the main guest house), you will instantly feel the sense of whimsy that Judith's decorating is trying to achieve. The outside koi pond compliments the larger pond in the Grist Mill. The porch is wonderfully day-dream inducing, especially if a recent rain has fueled the waterfalls into a loud stream behind the mill. The plethora of treats in the house's kitchen is evident as soon as one walks in, with the small cooler of baked goods courtesy of gourmet cook Judith (their famous oreo truffle torte is NOT to be missed!!) There is a fully stocked fridge (eggs, fruit, yogurt, bagels, etc.) along with every kind of tea and coffee that you would need...the living room and lounge areas are just magical and really evoke a great feeling of warmth that is a great way to start your day on vacation.
