The solution to your fireplace issues is to NOT CALL QUALITY FIREPLACE SOLUTIONS, as they have none! Tried calling them three times before I received a text response saying they couldn't make a trip to Longmont at this time of year. Even though they had no problem made the trip to Longmont in April when they accepted the service call while the property was being sold. The unit was never turned on since that "repair" was made. Now that it needs to be looked at again, they can't make the trip out there. Even though their invoice says they have a year on new parts that are installed. They installed a new switch. Instead they point out the 30 day warranty on service. That's fine, but how do you warrant the part without going out there to see what the issue is????. I asked that they call me to discuss. Instead, they texted back saying "no parts were replaced. There is no warranty to be honored" They said this even though I sent them the invoice which in their own writing said "parts: Wall switch" Again, I asked that they please call me. That if they had time to text, they could call me. They wouldn't. Instead they replied that "our phones are jammed. We should have been called before now. That was April-this is October" I wish that I was clairvoyant, and I would have called them before now. There was no need to run the fireplace until the weather changed and got colder! That was the end of the conversation as they chose to stop communicating with me. Bottom line, they were completely unprofessional and unwilling to stand behind their work and their own stated warranty policy. The entire town home complex will be alerted to this lousy company and their even lousier customer service and anyone else I come across who may need fireplace work will hear the same. read more

Have used these guys in the past as a Realtor with good results. Called to have them service/repair the fireplace at my residence and had a whole other experience. The tech did not appear to be that knowledgeable about the fireplace or what was wrong. Spent a lot of time on the phone. Diagnosed that two parts were needed to repair. Their bid on parts was over twice what I could find the manufacturer made parts for sale on the internet. Labor bid was for 2 men on the repair (not necessary for repair) - - - and was crazy high. Did some searching around and found more "ethical" vendors, who ultimately diagnosed that the two parts weren't needed (I replaced one due to age anyway) and finished up the "service" that QFS was to provide (placing embers on the top tray). Had my gas fire place serviced this morning by Quality Fireplace Solutions. Greg was here promptly and was very professional, kind and friendly. Greg took the time to thoroughly explain the fireplace and how it works (first time having a gas fireplace). I had several questions regarding gas and safety etc etc and Greg was extremely patient and answered all of them. He told me step by step what he was doing and what the service entailed. Lastly the fireplace and the glass inside and out was very clean, I didn't realize how soiled the glass was until he cleaned it. Afterwards Greg cleaned up and made sure everything was the way it was when he arrived. Thank you Greg and QFS I will be calling on you again should I need anything else regarding my fireplace. Come on baby light my fire! I was having trouble with my gas fireplace, it would light and then go out, light then go out...you get the idea, so I called Quinlan on the recommendation of my home inspector (who is also a family friend). Here is where Quinlan gets points: - They returned my call within 24 hours - Due to the fact that they were booked solid for two months, they gave me a small discount for my patience - The woman that scheduled my appointment was very friendly Here is where Quinlan loses points: - No one called to confirm my appointment before they came over - They lost my phone number since I had booked so far out in advance - The gentleman who came to work on my fireplace was 35 minutes late because he got lost and couldn't call me to get directions since they didn't have my phone number - After the woman at the office finally dug through files and located my number, he called to let me know he was on his way, not to see if I needed to reschedule But, here is where they gain points back: - The guy working on my fireplace, Blaine, was very friendly and extremely helpful, he showed me some new things about my fireplace that I wish I would have known sooner - He was able to get the work done within an hour and a half, still giving me time to get to a meeting I am not sure what other fireplace inspectors charge, but I do feel that I was a bit overcharged. This is perhaps due to the fact that no one gave me any information on additional costs like rewiring- however this could very well be my fault for not doing my homework before writing the check. All in all, I would call them again if I have a fireplace problem, probably because I don't know who else to call, however, should that happen, I would also be a bit upset that they didn't fix it the first time. read more

These people are crooks. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I had gas leaking in my house for 2 weeks and when I contacted them to come and check it out, they said they would charge me another $150 on top of the $290 I already paid! I ended up contacting excel and they were amazed that with a child in the house, they had not come out d/t the huge safety issue of having gas leaking in your house. Excel shut off the valve that was open and leaking gas into my house. Thanks to them, our family is not dead. All for $150. When I tried talking to the manager of this company, Cynthia wrote a text to me with "are you nuts". Talk about lack of professionalism. The tech Rick is a very nice guy, but Cynthia has absolutely no customer service skills or professionalism. I have no idea why anyone would allow her to work anywhere. SAVE YOUR FAMILY AND HEALTH. They are the worst!! I had to make multiple appointments because they never showed up. They didn't even have the decency to call and let me know they weren't coming. Each time i called to reschedule they were rude and unpleasant, acted like they were doing me a favor. Still need the fireplace serviced. We made an appointment that we had to change, there were no issues in that. Austin the tech came exactly at the scheduled time. He covered the carpet in front of the fireplace so he would get soot on it. He throughly cleaned it, and worked on the starter. He was polite and it seems he did a great job. Everything went so smooth I'm surprised to see poor reviews in the past, but maybe this company made some changes for the better read more

Had our fireplace inspected before closing on a home in June and they said it was good. Tried using it when it cooled down a couple weeks ago (early October) and nothing. Called e company and they said someone could come look at it and determine a charge after looking at it. DON'T THINK SO! I will never use this business again. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of follow through with this company. I spent $129 in February to get my gas fireplace cleaned. Joel did a great job cleaning everything, but unfortunately he said the seal was broken and the fireplace glass needed to be replaced for $250 more dollars. He was friendly, and answered all my questions as he worked. I was told by Joel that Cynthia would call to schedule the follow up appointment to put in the new glass within a couple weeks. So we waited. Almost a month went by with no callback. When I called and spoke with Cynthia she told me she had no knowledge of needing to call me and that they were very booked and that it would take ANOTHER month at least to get me on the books. Keep in mind we have now had no use of our fireplace during this entire time! Once we finally got the new glass installed (it's now the middle of April) it looked great for about 1 week and then I noticed a soot-like discoloration covering the edges of the new glass. I called Cynthia again to inquire about this. She told me she'd call me back the next day to schedule Joel to come back out and take a look... because they are "so busy". TWO WEEKS went by, and once again I had to call her back because clearly she was not going to call me! When I spoke with her she was rude and not willing to allow me, THE PAYING CUSTOMER to relay to her how frustrated I am with her not keeping her word! Customer Service rule 101 is this: BE SILENT AND LISTEN to what the people who pay you are saying before you get snippy and cut them off! We don't care for your excuses just take care of us!!! I will say this: Joel, the technician was a very kind hearted person who took pride in his work. Cynthia was rude, and unwilling to be considerate of my feelings and unwilling to omit excuse making and poor communication skills. I would not use this company again and would NOT recommend them under any circumstance simply due to Cynthia's poor attitude and lack of follow through. This was a waste of money! read more

This company doesn't even deserve one star! They are not only disrespectful but also lacks professionalism. After waiting a month for them to come fix our fireplace - which is our only heating source - they rescheduled 3 times and still have not fixed the fireplace they previously repaired. Each of the 3 reschedules were filled with distain and disrespect. They gave me a window of time that they would show up so I waited around for them 2 times. They didn't even tell me they weren't coming, instead I had to ask them where they were! The third reschedule, I told them I would be home anytime after 3. They sent an unbelievably rude tech to my home at noon and when he called asking where I was, I told him I could not be home until 2 earliest. He proceeded to tell at me that I am wasting his time. When I called to make an appt,I left a message and did not get a return call for 8 days. They told me they were booked very far out. I made an appt for 5 weeks later. When the day of service came, I received a call 25 minutes after scheduled appt. stating that they had some issue and would not make my appt. They also told me they were too busy to schedule me for any further appt and that I should take my business to one of their competitors, or wait till the spring.
