When I find a reliable company that does a good job I am excited to share this resource with my community because we are all looking for the same thing, right? A small local company that is both reliable, experienced and offers quality work at a fair price. We purchased our home here in Chehalis in October 2019 and we love it here! But as you and I both know, with home ownership comes home maintenance. We knew from our home inspection that we needed to repair or replace the leaking sectional gutter system around our house. We also noticed a couple of areas that needed repair to the existing gutters around our garage, wood shed and barn. Craig, the owner of Gutter Works is a hard working professional and takes his work and his business seriously. He is a gutter expert and custom fabricated our gutters on sight in seamless (long) sections to eliminate those leaky-dripping joints of our old gutters. I am so relieved we found an excellent and trustworthy contractor that does the job right the first time and for an unbelievable price! Well, I realize our price reflects the fact that we have a 1970's ranch style home the shape of rectangle... The unknown is always intimidating but not all home maintenance needs to be a hassle or break the bank. Like us, you won't regret your decision to call Craig!

If I could give Hunter and the team at Petrich Arbor Care more than five stars, I would…read more We've lived on our six-acre property for 18 years, and we've always had only a peek-a-boo view of Mount Rainier through the trees. After Hunter and his crew finished their work, that completely changed. They carefully pruned, limbed, and removed a few smaller trees that were blocking the view, and now we can see Mount Rainier in all its glory. Hunter was incredibly meticulous. He spent a great deal of time studying the view, looking at the mountain, and determining exactly which trees needed to be trimmed and how far back they should go. Everything was done with care, patience, and purpose. He listened to what we wanted, offered thoughtful suggestions, and clearly takes tremendous pride in his work. The transformation is incredible. We can now sit outside on our porch or at our table in the middle of the yard, enjoy a meal, and take in the majestic beauty of Mount Rainier. My wife can even enjoy the view from her greenhouse. Looking back, we both agree we should have done this years ago. Hunter's crew was professional, courteous, hardworking, and highly skilled. They had all the right equipment, worked safely and efficiently, and treated our property with care and respect from start to finish. Hunter's father did outstanding work for us many years ago, and it's wonderful to see that same commitment to quality carried on by the next generation. If you need tree pruning, limbing, tree removal, or view enhancement, I highly recommend Petrich Arbor Care. Thank you, Hunter and your entire crew, for giving us a view we'll enjoy every day for years to come.

Cons: Cleanup left something to be desired and there was a surprising amount of damage done to my yard. Crew took it upon themselves to fill the area around the perimeter of patio (where a trench was formed during form removal) with drainage rock. When asked about it, the crew member stated that he "wanted to try something new" and "didn't want to ask for permission." Huh? They did clean up the rock after I got back in contact with Ryan. Crew told me he would make it look nice, and instead left two gigantic piles of rock in front of my house. Why even bother telling me you'd make it look nice at that point? I will admit it did get a chuckle out of me. It was a mixed bag of an experience for me, but in the end I am happy with the patio and driveway - which is what matters most.

There was a crushed storm drain pipe under the existing portion of driveway that was causing water back up in heavy rains. R & M had to carefully saw cut and pick out the existing concrete, lay in a new 4" pipe, encase and protect the new pipe in the proper rock and then put in new exposed aggregate concrete to match the existing. PERFECTION! You'd never know it was done except that the original concrete is not nearly as good as the new work. This was an exceptional job. Next ... 203 feet of driveway leading up to the house. The existing gravel driveway with all its country charm was not working for us for several reasons. We did the math on putting in a new asphalt drive with it's maintenance needs over 50 years versus a "one and done" concrete install. Concrete won. OMG ... so beautiful. I've had experience with concrete installs in residential and commercial applications. I know what I'm looking at when I see the work done. This was the best work I've ever seen. Last thought to share. FEED YOUR CONTRACTORS. They really appreciate it. It's really easy to put out sandwiches, chips, and beverages. Have it delivered if you need to. It clearly means so much to the crew and a good break with healthy food fuels a good afternoon's work.

In all fairness, I waited a while to see how things would settle, but my opinion hasn't changed:…read morethis is a horrible company that did more damage than good. They were supposed to trim a laurel hedge, but decided to only trim it as far up as they could reach without bothering to do the upper couple of feet. It is a horrible mess. They were supposed to re-gravel the driveway, but, brought such a fine-grade gravel that it was more dust than stones. I spoke about that and Sam Hill, the owner, said "It'll be fine once it rains." NO it's not. Most of the "gravel" blew away. It's a lumpy mess. I had also specified that I wanted the gravel to go all the way out to the edges of the current drive. I even said "I want it wide." Wasn't done. I complained and Sam said, "It looks like a nice, strip up the middle." He said if I wanted it out to the edges, he could write up another bid!!!! I had gone out the day before and weeded and made the edges of the drive very clear. These lazy people didn't even bother to move a trash can that was at the side: they just left it un-graveled. They didn't spread gravel over the entire area that is the turn-around either. You can see where they just put their gravel around in patches when they thought they could get away with leaving the old gravel. They cut a 50-year old lilac down to the ground for no reason at all. Apparently, Sam's parents own a nursery, so he "made it right" by putting 2 inch tall cuttings in its place. I objected because lilacs are very slow growing. Sam said "Oh, no...they grow really fast." NOT TRUE. I then went to a nursery and picked out a 4 foot tall lilac that would still not make up for the towering one that had been destroyed, but would be better than cuttings. Sam said he'd go get it. Well, he must have gone back to mom and dad again. They planted a one foot tall weakling that is now dead. I wanted them to plant something to mask my neighbors fence from view. I said something flowering, like a dogwood or cherry. I expected someone who calls himself a landscaper to know plants; to know what would grow in the space indicated. I babied that tree for months, but...it's now dead, too. So, thousands of dollars went for damage and ignorance and laziness and refusal to repair what they ruined. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.
