Dr Flaks is pretty good. Her Medical Assistants are also good. Her office staff is very incompetent. Leann said she never called or spoke to me since last week. It might have been Rosie and Rosie never made any notes about anything. Leann said she didn't call me and didn't make any effort to resolve the issue I was having with getting the medication refilled. In my opinion, there was no reason for me to be playing phone tag because on Wednesday, when I spoke to possibly Rosie, and Rosie said the doctor will send the Rx to Pharmacy Emporium, it should have been done. If it was my business, or I worked in the office of Dr Flaks, I would not respnd to patients with "I did not call you." I would take care of the reason for the call first time call resolution, and if not in one call, I would follow through and ensure that my reason for calling was resolved and I would have called me back. She did not do any of that. Leann also said she did not see that anyone called me from there yesterday but they did twice and left me a voicemail once. My phone keeps track of all the times I have spoken to them. From now on, I am not deleting their voicemail messages to show proof that someone there left me messages, some of which are very detailed which I prefer. If I knew how to record the calls themselves, I would do that too. I know I can, but I don't do it. I have been waiting since LAST Wednesday for Zoryve to be sent to a specialty pharmacy and for that pharmacy to contact me for my new insurance to fill the medication for me which I really need. Meanwhile, last week, I was told Dr Flaks said she will send a RX for the Zoryve to that pharmacy and I haven't gotten it or heard from the specialty pharmacy and her office staff isn't doing their due diligence. Dr Flaks does not seem to care either, and now I am looking for a new dermatologist who knows how to treat their patients as well as their staff. Do better!!! read more

This review is tough to write because it doesn't reflect the doctor's work, although I did not need any removals, for example. This is about miscommunication with her patients. The doctor told me that Medicare allows for one time a year to do a dermatology check (body check). The way she made it sound as if it was considered "preventative." However, that is not the case. You still have to pay any co-pays or if you did not meet your deductible you would have to pay that. When I was at the office they never asked for a co-pay before seeing the doctor, which is counter-intuitive, because every time I go to any doctor other than for a preventative, they ask for my co-pay. I will pay the $20 that they have billed me for, however, I will not be returning to her because of the misleading information. read more

My first time visit with Dr. Flaks, who was very professional, friendly and she provided excellent care. Wow! She answered my questions and helped me feel at ease. Her skill, knowledge and ability to detect skin problems is unprecedented! We trust our lives with her, which is why we have recommended her to all our family and friends and will continue to. If you are in need of an excellent Dermatologist, I highly recommend Dr. Flak's! On a minor side note, I strongly recommend that her office manager Mimi educate herself as to WHEN and WHEN NOT a Medical Power of Attorney or any PoA is required for a doctor to examine a patient. Normally, the doctor makes that determination, not the office manager. Most common cases for a PoA to be required are when a patient is in a coma, late stages of dementia or cannot communicate effectively what their medical problem is! I went to Quality Dermatology for hives back in May. Dr. Flaks took 2 biopsies on 2 different dates and sent them to Penn Medicine instead of LabCorp which is what my insurance requires. So instead of costing me zero I am faced with a bill for over $1880. I have contacted the office at least 8 times to no avail. A representative from Penn said that the practitioner would have to contact them as my problem is that she sent the tests to them without my permission. The one time I did speak to Dr. Flaks, she handed the phone off to the receptionist in the middle of our conversation and walked away. Very unprofessional. read more

Tried calling for appmt 8/13/18 @ 215PM. Woman put me on hold for 5 minutes, so I called back and asked if she forgot me, she said NO I DIDN'T FORGET YOU I DIDN'T FORGET YOU I HAVE A LOT GOING ON HERE. I said you can call me back, I'm busy here too. Gave her my number, no call after 60 minutes so I email them through their contact page. Twenty minutes later they called, guess they read the email. Won't bother calling back, attitudes are not needed. The owner should get a Facebook or Twitter account so she can know how the staff is treating people.... read more

poor poor customer service!!! me and my husband went there to be checked. we had the same test done but they added a test to his that cost me 500.00 dollars. when confronted they told me they never ordered it and penn medicine said they did. even gave me there time stamp of when they did it but still told me they never did it. after 3 hours on the phone with there incompetent staff and penn medicine its still not resolved. dont know what is going on there and now i will get lawyers involved. do not go there. you will be sorry!!!! read more
