She was never properly informed about the work being planned and it dragged on and on. The dentist, Mary Jacobs, broke one of her teeth and didn't repair it. This dentist made plates before doing the fillings and crowns she promised. The plates don't fit properly and to adjust them the dentist drilled the back teeth so their sharp, pointy and painful. His office is difficult to deal with administratively (at best). Technologically, they're stuck in the 1980's, both in dental equipment and office equipment. His hours are limited, even more so in the summer. And I always walk away from a session with the dental hygienist feeling like my mouth has gone five rounds with Mike Tyson, and with the same condescending, rote lecture about flossing more, every. single. time. When I left I asked for my dental records to show to my new dentist. They emailed them three days later, which was fine, except I asked for them to post my x-rays to me as well and it's been five weeks of me emailing every week and *not once* have they bothered to even respond, let alone post the x-rays. I paid for those x-rays. But no f*cks have been given, as far as I can tell. Probably for the best. My new dentist has uncovered multiple cavities that Dr. Depremio's office completely overlooked, as well as replaced my one silver filling, which was roughly three decades old and should apparently have been replaced after the first decade. I'm writing this review because the owner called me and made me feel very uncomfortable on the…read morephone while I was at work, even after I was told that the issue was resolved the previous day. He never asked about what had happened or what I had been told by the office, but just seemed focused on money (as another yelp review states below) and stated that my insurance was "weird" and "difficult" and that they had "lost money" on my like 3-minute cavity check). You need to realize that the office is in a position of power and please be respectful to everyone. A few months I called and was told that they would check on a cavity as part of my next cleaning at no additional charge (because it would take 10 seconds) and they were nice enough to move up my appointment. When I showed up for my appointment, they said they didn't have time for a cleaning and they checked inside my mouth for about 4-6 seconds and said everything was fine. I confirmed before (over the phone and in person) that it would be complementary (because it would take 10 seconds). They then charged me and billed my insurance for a full exam. The reason for this review is that the office has been frustrating and very needlessly time-consuming to work with; in addition to the phone call, on at least 4 different occasions I was told something would happen (we will call you later today of by tomorrow; we will email you in the next few hours) and nothing was done. Emails weren't sent with names in the signature so I was never sure who I was emailing with. In the future, just say "We're sorry this happened. You were told it would be a cleaning but instead we made a mistake with the schedule and we apologize for this. Good news is at we were able to do a 15-second check on your cavity we installed, and because this was only 15 seconds and because you were misled into thinking that it would be a complementary part of a cleaning, we won't be charging you or your insurance for those 15 seconds." All the dentists and orthodontists I had growing up, would check on a cavity that they installed for free if it took 5-10 seconds. If they saw something that looked more alarming we would go from there and possibly book a longer exam in the future. I may delete this review in the future, and wish everyone the best with no hard feelings. Goodbye.
