I was able to find the brand that is slightly taller 34.5" that fits our needs (vs the standard 33"). The shop's focused on custom made or semi-custom made cabinetry. With my odd size vanity requirement, they were able to quickly offer a 3 cabinet solution that covered my needs. They will also suggest a couple countertop places to shop for and ordering via Excelle gets you a 10% discount. I visited the shop multiple times and happy to report that the experience has been consistently pleasant. Good coffee, good music, sound advice and they are super patient to let us visualize the colors and styles with different samples. Lead time is reasonable within a week for us and delivery was trouble-free.

In the end, we couldn't be happier with the result. The quality of the Shiloh cabinets is outstanding. The natural wood tones give the kitchen a warm, organic feel that is anything but bland. The variation in the wood grain makes the space feel truly unique and custom. Since I was focused only on purchasing a vanity, I tried my best not to look at all the other products they carry, such as floor tiles, wood floors, bathroom tiles, shower fixtures, toilets, mirrors, shower doors, etc. So much to look at!! Richard helped me with my questions. He was knowledgeable and patient. He showed me comparable products around the floor then put my order together. Most items are in stock! That's great!! No need to wait for delivery. What I like about PHD is that I can purchase my products and my contractor can pick them up. I don't have to haul a vanity in my tiny car. Returns have a restocking fee. Make sure you like what you're getting.

They were 25 year old custom cabinets so the cases were good but we asked Ian to redo all the drawer boxes to make them soft close. Everything was accurate and quality materials. We restained one bathroom and Ian did a great job of creating a color that worked with the existing flooring. He brought samples and was willing to tweak to get it just right. We couldn't get a stain color either of us liked for the primary bath, so he made all new fronts in addition to the drawer boxes. We had a new walnut kitchen and he selected a very nice walnut sheet and grain matched everything. I wanted flush mount tab hardware that had to be routed in which isn't simple, but it worked perfectly. He did several rounds of varnish so we could get the color to match the kitchen. Throughout the entire process isn't was flexible and committed to doing everything right. The installation was easy--they came and removed all the fronts and drawers and after the work was completed, they sanded and stained the cases and installed the cabinet doors and drawers. One door was a little off kilter and Ian returned quickly to adjust it. His installation team was very good and careful about masking off the mirrors, counter, and floor so everything was protected and they cleaned up when done. Overall a really top notch job (we had a referral from a neighbor whose refinished cabinets were beautifully done by Ian and his team) and I would highly recommend their work and would absolutely hire them again for another job.

The only issues I had during this project were with the partner cabinet company, Prizmawood, which didn't meet the same lofty bar as the rest of the construction work; they had a separate contract that cost more than I feel it should, and their communication was much less consistent than Parviz's, leading to some flaws I had to follow up on to mitigate afterwards. But since this review is for Baystar Garage, it fully deserves the full 5 stars and I would definitely trust Parviz with any house projects in the future.
