The quality of the cabinets is very high and they look great! We used a pretty wide array of finishes, from glossy and matte Mirlux finishes to Cleaf wood-based panels in multiple varieties. Our project included bi-fold upper cabinets, appliance garages, a printer drawer, a charging drawer for a hair dryer, coffee center with pocket doors, and so on. They turned out great. There were some hiccups along the way that initially caused some frustration - these were limited to a few areas, but we felt the day to day impact of these was hard to just ignore. What really impressed me about owners David and Tammy (and the rest of the Woodenbridge team) was their openness to discuss our concerns in a very constructive and solution-focused manner. There was never any finger pointing or deflection - just a focus on what could be done to get things as right as possible. As a result, virtually all of our concerns were addressed through their willingness to listen, suggest possible resolutions, and implement what we mutually agreed would be the best way forward. This type of positive can-do attitude and sincere desire to reach the highest level of customer satisfaction is really rare these days. They also emphasize their lifetime warranty and willingness to come out and adjust things as things inevitably become misaligned and need tweaking. As a result you feel confidence that you have a long-term partner in keeping your cabinets performing in top shape for the long term. My "advice" in any extensive cabinet project is to take your time, double-check all the details, and over-communicate as needed to make sure everyone is on the same page. There are enough potential gotchas and options that it's best to align often to avoid potential misunderstandings. The bottom-line is that we're very pleased with how the cabinets in our project turned out, have a healthy respect and trust in Woodenbridge as a result of the process we went through together, and would be happy to use them again in a future project.

They were 25 year old custom cabinets so the cases were good but we asked Ian to redo all the drawer boxes to make them soft close. Everything was accurate and quality materials. We restained one bathroom and Ian did a great job of creating a color that worked with the existing flooring. He brought samples and was willing to tweak to get it just right. We couldn't get a stain color either of us liked for the primary bath, so he made all new fronts in addition to the drawer boxes. We had a new walnut kitchen and he selected a very nice walnut sheet and grain matched everything. I wanted flush mount tab hardware that had to be routed in which isn't simple, but it worked perfectly. He did several rounds of varnish so we could get the color to match the kitchen. Throughout the entire process isn't was flexible and committed to doing everything right. The installation was easy--they came and removed all the fronts and drawers and after the work was completed, they sanded and stained the cases and installed the cabinet doors and drawers. One door was a little off kilter and Ian returned quickly to adjust it. His installation team was very good and careful about masking off the mirrors, counter, and floor so everything was protected and they cleaned up when done. Overall a really top notch job (we had a referral from a neighbor whose refinished cabinets were beautifully done by Ian and his team) and I would highly recommend their work and would absolutely hire them again for another job.

I found Ronbow cabinets online about seven years ago when I was looking for a sink cabinet for…read moreremodeling a small bathroom. Ronbow products happened to be sold at a San Francisco neighborhood retailer a few blocks away. I liked the contemporary design and the solid construction. Last year, I decided it was time to bring my original 1939 kitchen up to date. I looked for well-made cabinetry with a sleek, modern look. Shopping at the big box stores and through my contractor, the closest I could come was Shaker style cabinetry, which did not marry well with the Deco-era architectural features of my house. (There is IKEA, too, but I just wanted to go with stronger, more solid manufacture.) I looked again at Ronbow and saw that they had moved into custom cabinetry, that they had Bay Area showrooms, and that the cabinets are built locally, in Livermore, which I appreciated. They had the plain-fronted, modern cabinets I was looking for, but they also carry more ornamental styles, if that's what you prefer. The prices are in line with custom cabinetry (yes, it's an investment), and the salespeople, designers, and makers are, to a person, helpful and down-to-earth. I especially want to give a shout out to my rep Brian Apodaca, who stayed with me through the ups and downs of the construction process. I have to say, of all the vendors I worked with to put my new kitchen together, Ronbow was 100% on time and has been promptly attentive to questions and issues I had during and after installation. The biggest reason is that they are not cabinet sellers, they are kitchen designers. Lena Pekker, their designer visited our home, understood our needs over a few meetings, and designed a beautiful and functional kitchen for us. While this was primarily centered around their cabinets, she also helped us with colors, fixtures and appliance choices. Secondly, their Italian cabinets have unique features that we loved and couldn't find elsewhere. We found the perfect color and finish for our decor. Thirdly, prices are very competitive for comparable design and quality. Alex in their installation team handled the installation professionally. Overall it was a pleasure to work with Robert Berkovich (Owner) and the entire team. I highly recommend them.
