A1 Quality Appliance is punctual, efficient, and professional. I was given a two hour window when the repair person would show up. They (a trainee accompanied the job) arrived at the beginning of that window and immediately greeted me with a smile and introduction. They put on booties before entering my house. While they said they had never seen a fridge water filter get stuck the way mine was, they immediately knew what to do and were done in under 30 minutes. They went on to explain what they'd done, cleaned the entire area of any evidence they were there, and even gave me a discount since the problem was not caused by actions on my end. I recommend A1 Quality Appliance to anyone requiring service or repair to their appliances. read more

We had Quality (I choke using that word in connection with this business) Appliances come out three times to address a problem with our icemaker in our Subzero freezer. Each time they made the problem worse. When I asked them to come back for a fourth time to fix it properly, they said I had made my request too late and for them to come out would be yet another service charge. The bottom line is that we spent over $1200 and we ended up worse off than when we started. I cannot overstate how unhappy we were with their "service." We then turned to Cody Appliances to address the problem with the icemaker and others associated with the Subzero refrigerator side of the unit. Its technician, George, did a wonderful job of fixing all of the issues associated with the unit, including the icemaker. He did it in one visit on one morning. It was ironic that the charge was virtual the same as what we had paid to the other, so-called appliance repair business. The major difference was that Cody Appliances fixed the problem. Something that was well beyond the "expertise" of "Quality" Appliances. If you ever have a problem with your Subzero refrigerator/freezer, I cannot recommend Cody Appliances more highly. On the other hand, you would be well advised never to use "Quality" Appliances for anything. read more

We have used Quality Appliance twice over the last year to repair an LG refrigerator. Nate has been our technician both times and has been prompt, a good communicator, and thorough. I appreciated how he wanted to sweep the floor after replacing the compressor! I'd give the company 5 stars but felt a bit stalled by the front office who originally said it would take 5-7 business days to get the part. I called back and a different receptionist seemed put out that I asked for a tech to come definitively diagnose the problem before waiting that long. The repairman sent out from Quality Appliance knew very little about my Bosch oven. He was unable to repair it after ordering parts twice and recommended I buy a new oven. After some research online I discovered the oven had been set to Celcius degrees rather than Fahrenheit. I simply fixed it by pressing a few buttons. The Company took over a month to refund my $425.00 prepayment for parts, but kept the service call charge of $140, even after I explained the story in detail. I don't consider this to be "QUALITY REPAIR." Will not use this company again. read more

My glass range had a broken glass cooktop and damage to the element. I responded to an add that they would come out to the house and evaluate it for free, an 89$ value. Turns out the 89 only applied to a repair credit. Since the repair was about 400 more than the stove was worth new, I still had to pay 89$. The tech was a nice enough guy, and I cant blame him, but the tactic and methodology of the coupon was terribly misleading. Everything about it was rushed to get me into an appointment that pretty much wasted 100 bucks for me. Very disappointing, and I wouldnt recommend responding to any of their coupons or advertisements without carefully reading the fine print. read more

We purchased a Samsung Washer and Dryer set from Home Depot 2 years ago. The first week in February our dryer stopped getting hot. I called Home Depot's Warranty Service and they said they'd send someone out to come look at it. I received a phone call from Sloane in the office of A-1 Quality Appliance and she said they wanted to order the part before the sent the technician out because it's usually the heating element. This way the technician would have the part and be able to fix it right away. I agreed. A week past and I hadn't heard anything from anyone at A-1, so I called. They informed me the part was suppose to be in 2 days ago. I asked them if they could track it and see where it was since no one had called to update us. It was suppose to be there the end of the day that day. They were suppose to call me and get us scheduled for a technician to come out. I received the automated call and it stated the technician would be out to our home between the hours of 11 am and 1 pm the next day. I rescheduled appointments and ensured my husband who works nights was awake and ready for the technician. He showed up at 1:30. No call advising us he was going to be late. He "Fixed" the dryer. It was the heating element. My husband and the technician both tested it, and the dryer was getting warm and drying clothes. The next day I went to use the dryer and it would not turn on. I immediately called back to A-1 and advised them of the issues. I asked for someone to come out ASAP as they had just been there the day before and the dryer still wasn't working. Nope, they couldn't accommodate that. So we waited around again between 8 am and 11 am for the technician. 8:30 am no call no technician I called the office asking for an ETA. They said I was the first appointment of the day the technician would be here by 9 am. He arrives and is unable to fix the dryer again. Now he says it is the motor. He has to order the part it will take another week to arrive. He showed me how to manually start my dryer so I could use it while I waited for the part to arrive. He just came today, with the new motor. He cannot fix it, he didn't order the right piece. He had to call Samsung and they gave him a part number so he could order the correct part this time. To say that I am beyond frustrated is an understatement. I believe we are going on week 4 without a dryer now. A-1 has no sense of accountability to their customers. They do not care that their technician has been out here numerous times and has been unsuccessful with fixing the problem. I am in no way a priority for them even though I've been waiting for almost a month for them to fix my dryer. I do not want anything special from them, I just want a trained technician to come to my home and fix the dryer that I paid a hefty price to warranty. I want my dryer to work. I am tired of waiting for parts, I am tired of hearing the technician's excuses for why he can't fix my dryer today. So here we go off to the laundromat for the 4th week in a row to do laundry for a family of 6 while we wait for A-1 to order a part, and show up to "fix" our dryer. read more

It took a week to make an appointment for a service call. A young man came out, diagnosed the problem and gave me an estimate of 3-5 days for the part to come in. A week later I called to see why I hadn't been contacted for the follow up appointment. I was then told the part would be another 10 days and was basically told "Don't call us. We'll call you." Since this was right before Christmas I tried to be understanding. When I didn't hear from them over the holidays I called again. This time I was told they were not coming out to complete the repair and they had had no intention of notifying me. By this time I had waited over a month to have my oven repaired. The lack of integrity means I'll never try to use them again. P.S. Another company sent out an experienced technician the next day and he has solved my problem in less that ten minutes. We have a LG Fridge that needed repair, we called LG, they sent A1 Quality Appliance to repair our fridge. We live in South Jordan, Utah, they have a satellite office in SLC, our repair was scheduled by LG, A1 Quality confirmed the appointment with us. The day of the appointment we received a voice message letting us know our technician's name and arrival time. Two very prompt and knowledgeable representatives from A1 Quality came, Dustin and Billy. They were on time, very quick with the repair, answered all of our questions, and cleaned up. They show up on time, speak respectfully...without any foul language...which is a HUGE plus, and get it fixed or they get it replaced. What is with small businesses these days. I don't think SB's are going under because of Obama's doings, rather they are going under due to very unprofessional employees, and poor service I sat on hold today for over 15 minutes before I finally hung up. I called back an hour later, no one picked up! I called back 15 min later, I got a lady on the phone. (Jody?) I asked to speak to Dustin Jones; she seemed thrown off. I said the business card I have says Dustin Jones. She said. "oh, he doesn't work here; he's the owner. He never comes in! ) Jody, put me on hold to go research my case. Said she needed to call me back as she knew nothing to the whereabouts of our parts. On the good side, the tech was very pleasant. I'm not going to tell anyone how to run a business, but if I were Dustin, I would probably make an appearance once in awhile! they were a third party delivery, i ordered my stove from another place and received the run around from the place i got my stove. when i called A1 quality appliance I was treated wonderful all my questions were answered and the person who answered did send an email to also get some answers for me. they called the day before to make sure i was going to be home and 30 minutes before delivery. when they pulled up i looked in the truck and found that the store did not wrap it up like they said they would. the kind delivery Guys did wrap it in blankets and made sure it was hooked up correctly they did not leave until i was completely happy. when they were hooking up my stove they answered all my questions were courteous and friendly. They replaced a freezer door that was scratched when it was delivered. In doing so, the technician did not put the seal on the new door which caused most of our food to spoil. They did come out the next day to fix the seal issue, however they have refused to replace our food that spoiled as a result of their mistake. If this is not resolved today, we will be filing a better business complaint against them first thing in the morning. read more

Very professional and knowledgable! When I called they asked very detailed questions to make sure they had a good idea what the issue was, he even helped me try to trouble shoot the issue. When it was clear I would need their service, they ordered the part they thought it was, and had a back up plan. When the technician came he was very polite, put booties over his shoes and worked very cleanly, he had the issue fixed within 30 minutes, and even noticed another small problem that he fixed without additional charge. I scheduled an appointment with A-1, had a technician come by and identified the issue as a simple piece that needed to be replaced. Was told it would take a week and paid up front. After 3 weeks and a phone call the technician returned with the wrong piece. Been waiting over a month since the initial service and still have not had a return visit. Would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

My builder hired Quality Appliance to come and scare me out of making them correct their defective installation of the microwave oven in my house (access to the light bulb and charcoal filter was blocked - so neither could be replaced - duh). Dustin came with the builder to look at the installation, and told me and a City Inspector that my new microwave would probably need replacing in five years (five years?), and unless I replaced it with the same exact Bosch model, that other brands with new/different dimensions would likely not fit in the spot if corrections were made to the current (defective) installation. He also told me that owners should not change the light bulbs in the microwave oven because it's very dangerous (even though the owner's manual includes instructions on how to change both the bulb and filter). He said he'd been in the business for 14 years and told me how an encounter he had with a microwave oven BLEW THE TIP OFF HIS FINGER!! He told me that the light bulb would probably last the life of the appliance, and if it did go out that I should call an authorized Bosch tech to have them change it. He also said that if owners change their own light bulbs it voids the Bosch warranty. I told him there's no mention of that in the owner's manual, and he said "trust me" it's printed behind the vent grill (where, conveniently, it couldn't be seen because it's blocked). I stood there in utter disbelief as I listened to a so-called certified Bosch service technician spew out a line of ridiculous scare tactics to advocate for keeping the defective installation the way it was, so his friend the builder wouldn't have to fix it . . . in exchange for what I wonder? I didn't believe a single word he said, so I phoned Bosch and spoke with Jonathan Brooks there, who told me that not one thing Dustin told the inspector and me was true. NOT ONE THING. And he wasn't happy. The builder wanted Quality Appliance to masquerade as a "Bosch professional" and overstep the boundaries of the independent third-party repair service they provide Bosch, lie about the Bosch warranty, and otherwise try to scare me with tales of exploding fingers in order to talk me out of the fix - and Quality Appliance was more than happy to participate in the DESPICABLE PLOY. If you expect honesty and integrity from your appliance repairman, this is not the company to call. At the very least, you want an appliance repairman that's smart enough to turn off the power before he lets a microwave oven blow the tip off his finger. read more

Had A-1 Quality Appliance come out and repair our microwave and our dishwasher. I provided the parts and they did the labor. They replaced worn out door counter balance/hinge hardware on the dishwasher door, (both sides). After they left I loaded the dishwasher and started the dishwasher and went to another part of the house. When I came back in the kitchen, I found my freshly resurface Brazilian Cherry wood flooring covered with hot dishwasher water. I discovered that when they replaced the counter balance hardware on the door the technician just pulled the dishwasher out to do the work without disconnecting the drain to the garbage disposal to allow the unit to be worked on. (recommended correct way) He was trying to do it "quicker". When he did he actually pulled the hose and clamp off the Garbage Disposal fitting and didn't check it. When he was done, he merely pushed the dishwasher back in without ever looking under the sink to check the fitting. The screw-up cost me $575 worth of damage to my wood floors. Now A1 Quality Appliance will not return my calls or requests for reimbursement to pay for the repairs. I have contacted them 6 or more times and it's gotten to the point that the person they say I have to talk to will not even take my calls. I will NEVER use this company again. Our Bosch diswasher failed on Christmas Eve - bad timing, but the repair guy said it would be ordered promptly (probably next week). No part by January 2, but no call from Quality Appliance. Their customer service manager finally got in the act, but no follow up calls to advise us. Were told Bosch would have shipped overnight for $50 (but no-one gave us that option). Now January 6 and I called to learn that the part has been "tracked" and will be here tomorrow (January 7). Best guess is that the part was never ordered until my wife called to inquire after a week. Holidays do capture attention, but after they acknowledged poor customer service, they still did not call to keep us informed. Slow learners, I guess. Might consider purchasing your appliance from some other vendor than RC Willey, who by the way, disclaimed any responsibility for the repair place they have under contract. read more

The technician was fine, friendly and professional. He called ahead both times and was able to charge my father-in-law even though the machine was at my home. My problem is with the schedulers. I was not informed that my part was on back-order until I called to ask what was taking so long and ask why I hadn't heard from them. She assured me I would get an update call and this didn't happen. When she finally did call to schedule my repair, it was over a week out after I'd been waiting 2 weeks already when I was quoted 3-5 days from when the parts were ordered. This is absolutely the worse company!!!! My oven (under warranty) had a broken heating element I was advised by the tech he would order the part and be out the following week to replace the element. A week later I received a call stating they could not respond because the tech did not have the proper tool to replace the heating element and the tech would be out in 2 days with the tool to fix. No call no show. Then another 2 days later I received a call (automated system) confirming my appt. I called the company to explain what happened and they then informed, with attitude, they would be out in a couple days to fix the problem they had no response for the no call no show. The day of my appt I received a call from the tech advising he did not have the part and he will be ordering one that day and that I could expect him in a couple days to get the part installed, I then explained I was told that he did have the part last week but not the tool to replace, he had no explanation. A week goes by and I received another call, part in but broken and unable to fix it, they would order another and have it expedited. Rescheduled for another day a week out. Received a call, tech does not have the proper tool again. Next day 2 techs arrive take out my oven, and guess what they don't have the part AGAIN !!!! I have to fight with the scheduling department to get someone at my house within a couple days otherwise I am looking at getting a tech out a week later after they fail to have to part or tool or whatever excuse. It has been a month and half and the oven is still not fixed. I have been without an oven this entire time and with no idea when it will be fixed. I have never been LIED to so much by a "professional" company. DO NOT use this company HUGE MISTAKE ! I had no choice since it was selected with my warranty. read more
