I had heard their ads on our local conservative radio show about their craftsmanship and customer service and it seemed they would be the perfect company for my home remodel... well sad to say the ads aren't what I experienced when contacting them to setup an appointment for a consultation. Spoke to a really nice lady on the phone and explained to her what we were looking to do to our home. She took down our contact information and stated that one of the home remodel salesmen would be in contact to setup an appointment. 30 days past and we heard nothing, so my wife reached out to see what was going on and was informed that the nice lady I originally talked to on the phone had forgot to forward our information to the remodeling department. She was very apologetic, so My wife and I thought well minor over site and wanted to move forward with Southern since they supposedly share our values. Within a few days we were contacted by one of their remodeling specialist and made an appointment with this associates 2 weeks out from our conversation. Appointment day arrives and well the associate was a no show for our consultation. My wife disappointed from the no show reached out to Southern to make sure we were scheduled for a consultation and she confirmed and said she would have the sales associate contact us directly. Their sales associate did reach out to me and was apologetic about missing the appointment stating that an emergency had risen on one of their other jobs and that he was happy to reschedule for another day. While we were appreciative of the call and explanation still doesn't excuse the lack of communication from a company who's ads state they pride themselves on their workmanship and customer experience... especially after my wife and I took off work in order to meet with Southern Exteriors associate. They both (the contractor and the owner Warren) gave multiple reason s why 1.) "it really wasn't required" (never ever heard that one before) 2.) "the roof is so steep that the paper is tearing under the roofer's feet".
