$2,715.90 This nice…read moreman was referred by a friend. He never provided me an estimate as I'd requested prior to showing up and I, foolishly, didn't push it. (Other estimates were between $1280-1600.) He and a helper showed up on time to do the work. Which included replacing a valve stem in a shower handle, removing a 30 gallon water heater from my attic, replacing it with a 30 gallon water heater and adding a disconnect. they also replaced the expansion tank without consulting me instead of using the expansion tank. thathad been put on a couple years ago. He arrived at 9:30 in the morning. At 11 AM they had not gotten the water heater out of the attic and informed me that the water heater they bought was too wide to access the opening into the attic and they would need to return it and get a different type of water heater. They left my house around 3:30pm (taking between 11:30 and 1:40 to return their first selected water heater and have lunch.) He charged me $603.90 for materials $2112 for labor. My total invoice was $2,715.90! If you work with this man, i strongly advise that you have him commit to an estimate in writing prior to beginning work. $2,715.90

Picture this: A peaceful evening, a gentle rain falling, and me, cozied up with a hot cup of tea. But then--BAM! Mother Nature decided to turn up the dial from a gentle rain to a full-blown waterpark. The heavens opened, and my yard turned into a swamp. I thought, "Well, at least it's just rain!" *Spoiler alert*: It wasn't *just* rain. Suddenly, I hear the most disturbing sound--imagine a walrus emerging from the underworld and gargling a smoothie. I look out my window, and there it was... my septic tank, rising like the Titanic from the depths of the ground, bubbling up like it had a serious grudge against me. It looked like it was auditioning for a role in a horror movie, only this one smelled way worse. Cue the panic! Enter **The Dumper Pumper**, my Sharpsburg Georgia savior! These folks arrived faster than I could Google "septic tank possessed by rainwater." I swear they rolled up with more enthusiasm than a firetruck at a BBQ festival. These heroes jumped into action, no questions asked--except, "Is that smell coming from the tank or... you?" (Don't judge me, it had been a stressful day). Not only did they tame the angry, floating septic beast, but they pumped it out like they were siphoning gold. My yard went from an apocalyptic poop lagoon back to a respectable piece of real estate. They even made sure I wouldn't have to explain to my neighbors why my backyard looked like Shrek's jacuzzi. But the best part? Their attitude. These guys were cracking jokes the whole time! At one point, one of them said, "Don't worry, we've seen worse! Once, a tank was so full it had its own ZIP code." I knew I was in good hands. They were so professional, quick, and, dare I say, joyful about handling my literal mess. I can't say enough about these folks. Best HVAC experience we've had in 30 years…read more Our upstairs unit stopped cooling and we called another local HVAC company out to look at it. Took their tech just 10 minutes to tell us we were low on freon due to a bad coil and we were looking at $3500 to replace. Guy never used a leak detector he just knew the leak was in the coil. I wanted a 2nd opinion before spending that kind of money so I called J&R based on their 5 star Yelp rating and the things people were saying in their reviews. Joe showed up, immediately took the unit apart, and spent over an hour using a leak detector to try to locate the coolant leak. Couldn't find a leak. He ended up leaving the system pressurized with nitrogen over a weekend only to come back on Monday and find no pressure loss. No leak - no bad coil. The issue was the other guys (who've serviced our units for 2 yrs) had left the valve caps loose on the exterior unit. Joe's diligence and honesty saved us a lot of money and earned him a customer for life. Its really rare nowadays to find someone with this kind of ethics. Joe's a likeable guy, explains what he's doing and why, and isn't out there trying to run up the tab on the repair. You sometimes hear companies saying they'll treat you like family. Joe never said that and its not on their website or their marketing material but that's definitely how I felt I was treated - like family.
