So, I…read moreinitially went to my neighborhood FB group page and asked who the group recommended I call for the service(s)? My neighborhood overwhelmingly and highly recommended Water Source Plumbing. I gave them a call this morning. The answering service was quick to answer and very pleasant to talk with about my plumbing issues. They took down my information, said that they would send it to Bobby and that he would get in touch with me. Bobby contacted me probably 10-20 minutes later which I thought was fast and gave me a window of 1-4 pm. Bobby arrived at my house at about 3. Bobby was very pleasant to speak with and had great what I call "professional bedside manner". He looked at my first issue, the disposal, and concluded that it wasn't the disposal but the light switch that powered it. Right there, he saved me a chunk of change by not replacing the disposal and recommending that I replace the power switch (couple bucks) vs the disposal. That impressed me. He also quoted me a price that was a better price if I should need to call him back if the switch fix didn't work. Bobby then went into my spare bathroom and quickly saw the issue of my toilet and had it fixed within 30 minutes or so. So, within in hour and a half, he saved me money with an easier fix for my disposal (for now) and quickly fixed my toilet. I will say that, whatever I spent for his expertise and services, it was WELL WORTH the amount because it wasn't me sweating, swearing, and messing up a plumbing issue. I would easily spend that amount again. I HIGHLY recommend Bobby and the entire team at Water Source Plumbing. They have now become my first choice for plumbing needs. Many thanks go out to Bobby. I let them take advantage of our family…read more TLDR: I believe they overcharged us. $409 for 5 seconds of diagnostics and 25 min of labor including 3 trips to the truck (one was to retrieve a replacement pin for one that had been dropped in to the wall), and a $60 part that they itemized as $340 on my bill. I called multiple times to speak with the field manager and was not able to connect with him. We had a leak in our shower that the technician with five seconds of looking at it determined he was 99% confident on what the issue was. He started repairs at 1:46 PM and finished at 2:11 PM with everything working. Our work starting window being (11-2pm) My issue comes with the fact that I think they overcharged us for the job that they did. After writing the check and thinking over the entire interaction, I began to feel very uneasy with how everything played out. I was not given a breakdown prior to the service beginning. Only a line on a phone to sign that I agreed to the price. I was not offered the opportunity to read what I was signing (nor did I ask, which is my fault.) no shoe covers were worn in our home which now has subsequent consequences for my time of needing to get out of the spot cleaner. Only after the project had been complete was I given an explanation of what labor went on (again my fault for not asking prior to). When I initially made the appointment, I was given the price for the service call, but I neglected to ask what their minimum job cost is (still not sure of what that is). Afterwards, I called the office trying to get a better idea of why the cost was so high. My frame of reference being that we had had a kitchen faucet and a disposal replaced within the last year with Fitzgerald and neither of these items including parts cost more than $400. The lady in the office was very kind and offered to put me in touch with the field manager. He did give me a call back after a few days however I was not in a place to chat with my Twins screaming in the backseat. I did call two other times to try and get in touch with him and have not received a call back to date. Overall, I learned a lot from this experience, and I believe it's important to share so that others understand how to advocate for themselves in an area in which they might not be technically skilled. Ultimately, they are well within their right to cash my check because I did agree to the price. I however will be asking a lot more questions next time, and probably be seeking a different company. I took their marketing for face value and feel like stewardship was mishandled. Our technician rusty was great! Very respectful that we had three children napping when he came to do repairs. After the repair, he explained to me what he did. Was very courteous to me. My only qualm was that he did not wear shoe covers and our home and had to walk through our master bedroom that has beige carpet and I will need to get out our spot cleaner to clean this up.
