My heater was running all the time and found there was a leak in the coil. The tech was very good at describing the problem

Apparently I was a supera**hole when dealing with this company, my wife wanted me to apologize but…read moresupera**hole refused, after purchasing a new unit with American Freedom my home is the coolest it's ever been, several other companies said they could beat the price but not a single one of them were true to their word, I'd recommend American Freedom over any HVAC company in GA, I'm ashamed of my previous behavior but honestly I'm still the same jackass but not when it comes to American Freedom, they are truly worth every single cent!!!!

They worked on my A/C unit before, I was having issues with having little to no air flowing in…read moreother rooms. Repairman suggested I close other vents in other rooms. (Did Nothing) Came out a second time because my house was 78 degrees.. turned AC on and hot air was blowing which caused temp to rise to 80 degrees. Repairman came out and gave me Freon ($200+) which was fine as long as my AC was working. **Privately suggested I use him on the side for any side work with the unit** After Freon was filled, it blew cooler air that day. But of course the weather changed and I didn't need it anymore for weeks, so I shut AC off and used my space heater for just my master bedroom. A month later the weather changed so I decided to turn my AC back on, HOT AIR flowed once again. Called American Freedom again, and was told that the Repairman that I had no longer worked therm smh. Booked an appointment and got a text message that my Repairman was on the way around 11am when my appointment was scheduled for 2pm... so I figured maybe his other appointments cancelled so I thought "cool I'll hang around" LOL waited a hour and called... they told me he hit the accept job by mistake. (Rookie mistake)- waited for my 2 pm appointment which was 2-4 at 4:20pm no one showed and never even got an apology for it either. At this point they're very unreliable and I feel not experienced. It's weird because my mom used them for over 10 years and swore they were the best.

I'd like to give a few shout-outs here:…read more 1. To Chadwick F, owner of Innovative Mechanical (https://www.yelp.com/biz/innovative-mechanical-atlanta-2), for quickly responding to my duct cleaning inquiry on Yelp and referring me to DUCTZ of Greater Atlanta. I searched Yelp for a good duct cleaner and Innovative Mechanical popped up as one of the top results. I used Yelp's "Request a Quote" feature and sent inquiries to three different companies including Innovative Mechnical. Chadwick of Innovative Mechnical was the first to respond and said, "Unfortunately, we don't clean air ducts. We recommend Ductz." 2. To Daniel of DUCTZ for calling me quickly. After filling out the short form on DUCTZ's website, Daniel called me the same day and we scheduled a time for him to come out. Daniel was a good communicator and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. He was honest, straightforward, and professional and I really appreciate that. 3. To Rhonda of DUCTZ for emailing me a quote quickly. Long story short, I was quoted $687.50 for this particular property: one HVAC unit (to clean the coil and blower), up to 10 vents (remove, wash, and reinstall each vent), and all associated ductwork cleaned with a compressed air sweep. Additional vents and bathroom exhausts were quoted at $25 each. Dryer vents $75. There was more, but this should give you a good idea. I've uploaded with this review some helpful info Rhonda sent me with my quote. It gives you additional background on DUCTZ and their vent-cleaning process. This is an independently owned and operated company with NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association) trained and certified technicians. As for my experience with DUCTZ, my tenants reported a "rotten egg" smell coming from the ventilation system. I contacted DUCTZ because I wanted their professional and expert opinion. Daniel met with my tenants and inspected the property's vents and HVAC return / air handler. He suggested a quick, easy, and cheap solution which was to use a foam spray (the foam spray cost only $6.26 on Amazon) to seal an exposed pipe going underground, beneath the air handler, to see if that would stop the smell. The theory behind this was the HVAC system was sucking up bad odors from the pipe and into the ventilation system. There was no charge for Daniel's visit. His visit was for a free estimate. I appreciated his advice and again, not trying to sell me something I didn't need. My tenants also told me that Daniel said that HVAC systems can occasionally get what is known as "dirty sock syndrome" and that it can be difficult and expensive to diagnose. I'm pretty sure I've smelled that in my own old car's ventilation system at one point and it went away on its own (or perhaps when I had the heater core replaced, but I digress). In the end, my experience with DUCTZ of Greater Atlanta was A+ and I recommend these guys if you need a quick, honest opinion about your ductwork/ventilation. This seems like a dependable business.
