Best HVAC experience we've had in 30 years…read more Our upstairs unit stopped cooling and we called another local HVAC company out to look at it. Took their tech just 10 minutes to tell us we were low on freon due to a bad coil and we were looking at $3500 to replace. Guy never used a leak detector he just knew the leak was in the coil. I wanted a 2nd opinion before spending that kind of money so I called J&R based on their 5 star Yelp rating and the things people were saying in their reviews. Joe showed up, immediately took the unit apart, and spent over an hour using a leak detector to try to locate the coolant leak. Couldn't find a leak. He ended up leaving the system pressurized with nitrogen over a weekend only to come back on Monday and find no pressure loss. No leak - no bad coil. The issue was the other guys (who've serviced our units for 2 yrs) had left the valve caps loose on the exterior unit. Joe's diligence and honesty saved us a lot of money and earned him a customer for life. Its really rare nowadays to find someone with this kind of ethics. Joe's a likeable guy, explains what he's doing and why, and isn't out there trying to run up the tab on the repair. You sometimes hear companies saying they'll treat you like family. Joe never said that and its not on their website or their marketing material but that's definitely how I felt I was treated - like family.

The lady that answered the phone was very nice and empathetic and said technician would be able to come out in a few hours. Mike was our technician and Anthony, and they called on their way and showed up on time. The hot water heater had to be replaced and the piping done and had to be brought up to new County codes. Mike did such a good job, making sure that everything was done correctly. It looks so much better than the previous tank we had because the pipes are wrapped and it's centered. It looks good. You know its a good job when you can say a water heater looks good! LOL Both Mike and Anthony were super nice, which was good because I wanted to cry because this was the last thing we needed to deal with. We will use them again for any plumbing or HVAC, as I feel this company will give you an honest opinion on what needs to be done and not just for the money. Thank you!!!!

The People's Champ -- and he truly lives up to the name…read more I honestly don't know if I'll ever be able to put into words how grateful I am to Kevin and everyone at The People's Champ. The day my husband died by suicide, it felt like absolutely everything that could go wrong went wrong. On top of the unimaginable loss my son and I were dealing with, our AC went out. For us, especially because I have a son with disabilities, having working AC isn't a luxury--it's something we truly need. Kevin came out to look at our unit and did a temporary fix to get us through, but he knew we ultimately needed a new system. I explained my situation to him, including that I had just lost my husband. Instead of simply telling me what the repair would cost and walking away, Kevin told me about a state government grant that I might qualify for that could potentially help us get a new unit. I'm not the greatest with technology, and there was a lot of paperwork and information I had to submit. Kevin went above and beyond and offered to help me through the process. There was a lot of behind-the-scenes work involved, but in the end, I was approved. I will never forget that. Kevin didn't just see me as another customer. He saw a mother who was struggling, a family going through an incredibly difficult time, and a son who needed help. He even put my son and me in his prayers. That kindness meant more to me than I can ever explain. I still cry sometimes when I think about how much Kevin helped us during one of the worst times of our lives. He could have simply been an AC repairman, but he chose to be a human being who cared. That is something I will never forget. I also want to give a HUGE shoutout to Bruce, who installed our new unit. He was absolutely meticulous and did the most beautiful, professional job. He treated our home with care and took pride in his work from beginning to end. And honestly, everyone who works for Kevin is top-notch. It says a lot about a business when the owner surrounds himself with people who care just as much as he does. We have been customers of Comfort Solutions for over 8 years...and wouldn't go with anyone else…read more We initially retained them for annual maintenance on our HVAC system when we first purchased our house when we moved to the Atlanta area, the existing unit was about 11 years old at the time and we always keep household units under maintenance contracts. When we needed to install a new unit, Comfort Solutions was definitely priced competitively and awesome in getting everything up and running. We've had a few manufacturing issues, and Comfort has responded exceptionally well to ensure that our unit was kept up and running. This locally owned company does it right...they stand behind you and their products and services, no matter what. Strongly recommend them for servicing, new units or annual maintenance contracts. They are definitely the way to go.

Walking in the door, she wasted no time greeting us and finding out what we were in the market for. She showed us about five or six models, all affordable, and reputable brands we recognize or have owned before. We were thrilled that the installation and haul away were under $100! There were a couple of payment options and we're glad they told us about the 4% service charge before tendering payment with a card. We chose to pay with cash app to avoid that fee. We have been keeping house for 36 years and we used to shop Circuit City, then we became Best Buy customers. One of the aspects we came to expect was a quick delivery promise, then ridiculous delays in actual delivery. So, neither of us reacted when Ms. Sharon kept saying, "We can bring it tomorrow!" In my mind, I was like, "Yeah, right! We'll see." Well, we see! Thank you, Mr. Andy and Mr. Waylen! We have been fortunate enough with our purchases to seldom have to replace major appliances, and when we do, we usually bit the bullet and buy new. We were happy to find someone in the area that would do install our stove, because our General Contractor said he couldn't find anyone. Chimney Solutions contacted me within an hour after I emailed them. They have excellent customer service. the only issue i had was it took longer than expected to get all of the parts in to make the install happen. That's not their fault...the supply chain hasn't been good since the "pandemic". I would highly recommend Chimney Solutions. They really did us a huge service as the weather is about to turn cold.
