Had vehicle work done. After picking up noticed AC was squeaking. Called to schedule them to look…read moreat it and was told they would do a courtesy inspection. When picking vehicle back up (also had other work done) they charged me for an inspection. They then accused me of lying. Terrible way to treat someone who has just spent $1,000 on other services. Will never be back to another Midas location again if this is how they treat their paying customers.

I had to have it towed from the Toyota dealership adjacent to Midas to a shop in Junction City (The Station / 10/10 would recommend. They fixed the damage done to my truck for roughly a quarter of what Midas tried to charge me) to have it fixed. I had noticed some of the sounds and feelings of thinning brake pads a few days prior and when they brought the truck out they effectively held me hostage with a quote well over 1k dollars. When I attempted to express my confusion and frustration with the turn of events the tech and supervisor both became very difficult, condescending and accusatory. I eventually moved my truck off their lot because I did not trust anyone there and I'm glad I did. The tow truck operator called me and said that when he was hooking up the truck some Midas employees attempted to stop him by saying I had an unpaid bill. None of this was true and that kind of behavior is beyond unprofessional and very suspect. My parting advice to anyone thinking of using their "services" is to GO ELSEWHERE. There are so many other options where you can go and be assured that you won't be taken advantage of. I am a 41 year old man who had my 8 year old daughter with me and they tried to take advantage of me. I can only imagine if you are a young student, spouse of a deployed Soldier or anyone with minimal automotive knowledge how they could attempt to fleece you. Hope this was helpful!

106$ oil change for my VW (full synthetic). After a two hour and 15 minute wait…read more They came out after an hour and a half to tell me they were waiting for an oil filter they didn't have (should have told me when I got there). They told me the full synthetic would be 70-something, which I agreed to. They rang me up and it was 106. I asked the cashier why and he told me that my VW required special oil and a special filter... they should have told me that from the beginning. I would never have gone there. I asked them to check my tires... that didn't happen either. Things that would have made my visit better: communication from the beginning that I would be waiting for two hours. Also that my oil change would be 106$. So frustrating. I'll try a different place next time.

They should be called "Slow Lane" if you ask me. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and asked…read moreif they could check the slow leak on a tire as well. Tire sensors were also off (they had rotated last) so I asked that be fixed. THREE hours later it was done. They tried to charge $20 for the sensors being rotated when they failed to do so at the last tire rotation. Paid for the tire to be fixed (they said it was a leaky valve) and oil change. 3 days later the tire they "fixed" was at a pressure of 11 and sensors were still off. I called and spoke with a manager that didn't seem to care. I questioned if the services were even done to my vehicle. He assured me they were and said to bring it in and they would look at the tire again. I brought it in again and they "fixed" the tire again at no cost but said they could not fix the sensors because the signal on the key fob was too weak. Is that even a thing? Next day the same tire is down to a pressure of 16 and I'm done with this place. They are a joke! Got my tired fixed somewhere else and they said it was a previous patch that was leaking, not a valve! Idiots!

I was directed to Firestone by Hertz as they are their national service account. I rolled in around 4pm and although this location was busy and short-staffed, they assured me they could/would take care of me. Due to the short staffing and cars that needed complete before the day was out, manager Sheldon headed out to the shop and lead his team by example and jumped in. Needless to say his effort and work ethic was NOT overlooked by me. The car was out the door and rolling vibration-free by 6:15. If you are in Manhatten, KS I HIGHLY suggest this team!

I live 20 miles away from the store. Each time I was told it was fixed and safe. The fourth visit I started asking questions. They told me they tightened them down as much as their tech could, but could not provide me the torque spec that he was capable of. I have been back 15 times now, my upper control arm mounts are damaged, my camber bolts and bushings are damaged, and the 1000 miles of UN aligned driving on brand new tires during this whole ordeal. Just look at the reviews of this store and their abilities. Their management team in Manhattan is nothing more than a foul mouth bully. Stay away from Firestone especially in Manhattan, KS.
