This is hands down my favorite dog park in the area. It's easy to get to, has great hours and accessible parking. The park sports two different sides, one for small dogs which is spacious, but significantly smaller and one for all dogs that is such a great size. AMple space for the pooches to run amuck and offers trees, hills and just overall a lovely space to bring the doggos. It has a huge community presence with locals bringing various chairs available for the public to use. The park also offers benches and seating along the edges. There are a few bag stations for poop and a warer station at the top of the hill towards the entrance. In addition to the chairs, many locals bring buckets for communal use water bowls for the pups. Laslty it has evening lighting to make it easy to enjoy during those summer days when you are waiting for the sun to set or just can't make it until after work. Even when this park is busy, it's so spacious it honestly is not a huge issue. you definitely get a good group of regulars, which is nice. read more

The park is great when it's open. The dip shits at the city of Mesa neglected to mention that it's closed until July 7 and they chose to do renovations in the middle of the summer when you can't walk your dog anywhere else. Way to go dummies. read more

6/26/20 The dog park is closed until July 9, 2020. The area itself looks very nice. However, we were greeted by an aggressive dog that bit my puppy on his ear. There was an older gentleman with two male dogs sitting outside of the dog area. He has an older shepherd mix dog that did not seem happy to see Kane. With the dog area closed we just enjoyed the green grass and the shade trees. read more

Loved this park! I've had so many bad experiences at dog parks - people bringing aggressive dogs, humper dogs, not picking up poop, etc etc. I brought my Aussie mix Hank and he made quick friends with the fantastic group of dogs that was there on a rare, breezy Saturday morning. Poop in general seemed to be picked up well, the separate smaller yard provided a great space for smaller, or timid dogs, and there is a huge space for ball throwing! I also really loved the chairs set up under the trees and other spots around the yard, making for a great hangout for owners while their dogs play. This dog park is the closest park to my home so I come here often when my fur baby needs his friend time. The park is a good-sized park with lots of benches and chairs for pup owners. There are lots of trees and shade for those gruesome phx summer days/nights. My pup is usually a happy camper running around sniffing all the pee and poop to his heart's desire!! A few canine fights do occur on occasion, but it comes with the territory of having so many fur kids in one place!! Overall, this park is nice, clean, and is a great place to take your fur kids to get their socializing needs!! read more

This was my first time visiting this park with my dog but I will be bringing her back again. Quail Run dog park is split into two areas: there's a small yard for small/timid dogs and a rather large yard for all dogs. They have plenty of chairs/benches available for pet parents to sit while the dogs run free. The park has ample parking available and is well lit for night time visits. Once your dog does his/her business you are never to far away from a trash can and bags can be found all throughout the park. I came here last night for the Death Cab for Cutie show and was surprised by how big it was. Multiple green fields for food vendors, cocktails stations, and a fairly large staging area. Being right off the freeway is a definite bonus when trying to combat the masses after the show was over. Our favorite dog park in the east valley. HUGE area, and the owners are generally very good about watching and picking up after their dogs. Timid dog area is as big as some of the other parks. Well supplied, and...again...just huge. There can be 20 dogs there and your pup could still be completely on its own with plenty of space. read more

Ted has been a member of our family for just over 2 months. He has been great with the neighborhood dogs so we thought it was time to go to the dog park. We were immediately greeted by a couple of very large, very sweet Labs. From that moment on, Ted was in heaven! When we initially arrived, there were only 3 dogs there, but soon after there were about 8 additional dogs to play with. All the dogs were very nice and well behaved, as were their parents :) There are lots garbage cans, plenty of benches, and many shade trees. This is a great place; can't wait to go back! read more

We bring our dog here often. This park has large area for big dogs, with a separate smaller area for small/timid dogs. We never have had a problem here, other than the occasional scuffle between dogs, but ot seems to be resolved quickly and the doggies go back to playing again. There is adequate parking, the park is clean, and the people that bring their dogs are friendly. read more

We take our dog here often. This is a nice clean dog park. Like ANY other dog park the experience really depends upon the behavior and temperament of the other dogs present at the time. There is a fresh supply of water for the dogs near the entry gate. The park is divided into 2 sections. One for the bigger and more aggressive dogs, the other is for the smaller more timid dogs. We have always had a good experience when we brought our mini Dachshund here. The only complains are the lack of benches, which now we bring camp chairs, and the lack of shade. We started coming in the morning or evening when the sun is low and there is sufficient shade. This is still our dog park of choice. read more

Holy awesome dog park, Batman! This place is great! My dog is super friendly, but doesn't know how to play. He just stands and watches usually. But, with all the other dogs running up to great him, he was acting like a puppy and getting in on the action. The other dog owners are incredibly friendly and they all know how to control their dogs. There is plenty of lighting and tons of open space. There is even a "timid dog area" off to the side for dogs that is perfect for a dog not used to the bark park. Other aspects of the park include a people park with slides and swings, soccer fields, baseball fields, and plenty of open space. It's all very well maintained and over a beautiful area. read more

This dog park is great. We took our pup for the first time, and she loved it. There is a smaller area for "timid" dogs that worked great to introduce our dog to the other dogs before we took her over to the general area. The other dogs (and their owners) were very welcoming. Large dog park open throughout the week (sans Thursdays & 12-1 daily) with a timid section(more lowkey, easy, no water buckets, clean enough but a lot of remnant dog poop owners do not pick up), and regular dog park side (large area for running, with water buckets, etc). I've been coming a lot and noted a few dog fights in the regular dog park side but these usually come down to insecure dogs and owners not watching carefully or proactively. Otherwise, the room on the regular dog park side is plentiful and a good place to get the dog zoomies out. read more

This is a beautiful park located near the airport in Mesa. The park is loaded with shade trees. This park is very large with plenty of green grass, giving the dogs plenty of room to roam. I do wish dog owners would be more responsible and clean up after their own dog. The park has plenty of trash cans for disposal. They even provide the tools. There is also a beautiful playground for children adjacent to the dog park. Excellent location. Can be a little noisy when the helicopter repair company is testing right outside the dog fence. This is not every day though. Open every day, except Thursday. Lots of lighting for late evening runs. Note: this dog park will be closed from August 2-30, 2015 for maintenance. The City of Mesa will be laying new sod in bare spots around the benches. read more

Loved the park at first. Went there for 2 years however the last couple months have been horrible.3 times out of 6 I have had issues and will not go there anymore. I've seen 2 dog fights where the owners had to break them up by getting in the middle to pull them apart. The last time which was 2 weeks ago I didn't have my dogs through the gate yet and it's a good thing I didn't. A black dog with a muzzle on charged the fence growling with it's fur up which riled up another dog and almost ended in fight #3. Very inconsiderate to bring a dog that requires a muzzle into a dog park. It's too bad a few people have to ruin a place my dogs used to love. read more

I have never had such a terrible experience at a dog park. There were 2 separate dogs who REPEATEDLY attacked my dog and several others, with no repercussion from their owner. On top of that, their owners seemed to be mad at me when I scolded their dog for biting mine. I will NEVER return to this park. read more

Quail run is a huge park with soccer fields, a dog park and a playground. There isn't a lot of shade but there is ample parking. It's definitely worth checking out if you live in east Mesa. read more

Excellent park! Took our two pups there today - they went into the smaller of the fenced areas and had a great time stretching their legs! Only one little problem - it seems that some people don't clean up after their dogs! Lots of poop lying around especially on the gravel areas entering the park. This dog park is so much fun! My 3 dogs love the huge open area to run and to fetch balls. I have yet to see any aggressive dogs. My boyfriend and I love coming here as well because it's big enough to walk the perimeter to get a nice little work out while your dogs are playing.
