I felt like a VIP from the moment we walked in on Sunday, November 21, 2021, for our 8 PM reservation. At first, it can be intimidating being at such a fine and elegant restaurant, but the entire staff made us feel so welcome. My husband and I went to the restroom, I came out first and was looking around for him, and a team member was so animated and lively and held out his arm in such a way that had me smiling. I wish could remember everyone's names. Our primary server (he said that he was coming to the US) took the time to explain the courses and he, along with everyone, provided exceptional service. They are located on the 2nd floor overlooking St Mark's Square. When we left, our server met us downstairs to say goodbye. Every course just kept getting better, and to be in such a historic location was incredible. The night before, we had gone to another MICHELIN-starred restaurant, and when I return to Venice and only had time for one meal, Quadri would be my absolute choice.

ordered TRAMEZZINO NONNO VITTORIO Whipped stockfish, anchovies, lettuce, Tropea onions in balsamic vinegar, tomato and oregano mayonnaise SPRITZ Classico (Aperol or Campari, prosecco, soda water) about 30 euro. tasty fish, anchovies, (not too salty), dressing was smooth , creamy but not oily not heavy , fresh lettuce n tomato, every ingredient blend well, the bread was lightly toast, very well made. it was my very first SPRITZ, not sweet as fruity wine, but sweeter than the dry white. it is a nice summer drink. ** the food was served with a metal cover. nuts in a jar. interestingly presented. the seagull n pigeon will stop by your table , n attempt to have a bite. there was one server was holding a plastic bottle and spray toward the "birds" and hopefully preventing them from disturbing the customer.

Items Selected: Double Espresso on Ice Ricotta di Bufala Cake Pistachio Cream Croissant Apple Tartina Gianduia Muffin Located on St. Mark's Square and featuring the work of Chef Massimiliano Alajmo whose cooking at Rubano's Le Calandre earned him 3 Michelin Stars at the age of 28, Quadri as well as it's offshoots Gran Caffe and ABC Quadri offer a more casual look at the Chef's innovative interpretations of modern day Italian culinaria, a standing breakfast of four pastries plus a double Espresso at the Caffe proving comparably priced to the rest of the area with results expectedly good, but not particularly great. Itself a small space with just two indoor two-tops, though the Michelin Starred restaurant upstairs and "ABC" program running from 11h30 to 15h00 on the square is far larger and refined, it was with multi-lingual service from a young woman that an order at Gran Caffe was assembled, the total cost of €14 seeing two of the items still warm at 09h15, first bites of the Pistachio Cream Croissant showing the texture to be light and flaky around the naturally-flavored filling, a follow-up Apple Tart as more hefty in spices than it was in sweetness with pockets of raisins an unexpected twist later to be found common in Italian interpretations of the dish. Adapting like so many others to the increasing Gluten-Free demands of patrons, the location alone providing Quadri an impetus to please palates of all kinds, a taste of the Gianduia Muffin showed a rich texture created by the combination of Almond Flour plus the Housemade Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread available by jar for takeaway, the best bites of the meal still-to-come by way of the creamy, smooth and lightly sugared Ricotta di Bufala Cake.

Its one of my top five in the world. Michelin star Quadri ate Piazza San Marco a Venezia its a perfect atmosphere for an amazing night. Service is flawless and cuisine is amazing! Spetacular wine list Its expensive but not more than others michelin. And make sure to ask for a table by the vetrata (window)

Uni and black squid risotto. Sadly was not that great and way overpriced.

Their food offers some insightful new takes on some beloved classics. Unfortunately, they also did not respond to my notice regarding to food poisoning, which is concerning. (Spiky Crab Salad: F) - The crab itself tastes fine, but unfortunately there is so much crab shell shards mixed in that this dish becomes a nuisance to eat. (Gnocchi: A) - The gnocchi was light and fluffy, with the fragrance of herbs beautifully integrated into the dough. This pairs well with the octopus ragu which adds a seafood take on a classic ragu. Outstanding. This…read morewas quite a long walk from the AC Hotel where we stayed while in Venice. The place was small but it had the old Italian interiors and vibe. We were greeted and seated once we walked in. The tables were very close to each other because of the small space but other than that, it was neat and nice. Our server was polite, efficient, and great. I loved the cover of the drinks menu, which was drawn by children. The dishes that I've tried were: SEAFOOD SAMPLER APPETIZER- everything in the plate was so tasty FISH CARBONARA- so delicious! TAGLIOLINI w/ SPIDER CRAB- how can I resist spider crab in pasta?! This was a winner! Even the TARALLI and bread were addicting. As usual, we have never failed in selecting any of the Italian wines that we've had anywhere in Italy. This was no exception. Overall, I highly recommend Vini Da Gigio to anyone who wants to experience the delicious and excellent Italian cuisine, in the gorgeous city of Venice. Grazie mille!
