Quite literally the sweetest nicest people ever. Took us immediately for a last minute appointment. I had Michelle and she was so awesome and fun to talk to, super cute setup and payed super close attention to any of my concerns (I had like none with her she did amazing) this was honestly the most comfortable I've ever felt while getting my nails done! The vibes were immaculate all of us were laughing and just vibing. Totally recommend this place for your nails

See?! Super-cute! (Pic was taken @ 7 days, not right after! :)

3 stars for the product, 5 for the folks. Traveling out-of-state, in-turn away from my primary salon, I've sought out the services of other salons. My unfortunate take-away is that the seeming all-the-rage in the TC area "shellac" for manicures s*cks. My nails did.not.last. They were super-cute, they just didn't last a full week before beginning to chip. I'm fairly confident I could have called and shared what happened, but I didn't. Because I hadn't used the salon before I wasn't sure if it was my nails, the product, the tech's application/technique...and chose to leave it alone. However, now having had a second manicure with "shellac" (the h*ll?! Why is this sh*t so popular and one's only option?!), I'm heavily leaning towards the issue being the product. The people were great. In this time of Covid, they were very attentive to keeping people safe. They were also kind, personable, and accommodating. Again, with the Covid issues, techs were working beyond regularly scheduled hours (I understand it was their choice to do so) to get folks in and manicured/pedicured. Their prices were in-line with other salons, and if they were able to offer something besides shellac, I'd use them again in a minute.

I went to QT Nails on 9/13/23 to get a manicure and a pedicure for my wedding on 9/16/23. I originally booked the appt for 2 people, however my mom got stuck in traffic on her way to traverse city and was unable to make the appt in time. They proceeded to tell me I'd be charged for her services as well since I didn't cancel her spot within 24 hours. When I called and made the appt a few days prior they never mentioned this is their policy. They asked that I give a 24hr cancellation notice, but never mentioned I'd be charged if I didn't. They never took a card down on file when I made the appt so if I didn't show up for the appt at all, I wouldn't have been charged for my moms spot and they would've been out the $$$ for both of us instead of just one person. I recommend just not showing up for the appt at all if you made an appt for 2 people and know that 1 person isn't able to make it, just so you can avoid the charge for their services. They did say they would "meet me halfway" and only charge me for my mom's pedicure, but I feel that I should have never been charged when this policy was never disclosed. They did my toes first. I don't remember the name of the man that did my toes, but he cut me pretty bad. Not only did he not say anything at all after he cut the side of my big toe nail, he continued trying to put the polish on the other toes with the cut continuously bleeding. He tried using the same brush he'd been using the entire time to stop the bleeding. He didn't bother grabbing a new clean brush, tissue, etc. to clean up the cut, which led to me being concerned with infection. He didn't say anything during this entire time until he was done with the service and told me I was finished. I then asked if there was anything I could put on it to help avoid infection and to help it heal by my wedding day and his response was "yeah I don't really know what you could put on it." I unfortunately didn't get a picture of my toe while it was actively bleeding, but the picture provided was about an hour after (after my manicure was done and I was back in the car). Also, when starting my deluxe pedicure, he had no idea he was supposed to be doing a deluxe until the lady at the front desk came to tell him after he already started for about 5-10 minutes. The gentleman who did my manicure was fantastic. I believe his name was Tim. This 1 star review does not apply to him. During my manicure I asked him if he knew of anything I could put on my toe since I was cut during my pedicure, and he paused the manicure completely to help fix my toe up and deeply apologized on behalf of the other gentleman. I do not recommend QT nails.

My number one place to go for nails! They are always smooth and a great shape. They have endless options and the owner is super funny! Prices are normal for the area and other surrounding salons but the work they do is beautiful and outshines a lot of other salons in the area. They just did a beautiful new remodel as well!

DO NOT go to QT nails traverse city, the overcharge you frequently and I also got an infection for 65 dollars. My nail has swollen and it's been pussing. Save your money and yourself from the pain! Also the place was very dirty, there were old shoes laying around, trash all over in hidden places. I was very upset with my experience.

Nail polish never dried. Nails crudely cut, not filed even lightly - corners super sharp. This was no $60 pedicure!!

I won't go back. The man who did my pedi clipped but didn't file the nails so the edges of each nail was sharp. Also didn't clean off all the oil before applying 2 coats of polish (no base or top coat) so the polish remained smeary - I took it off at home to avoid getting it on my socks or slippers. Called right after getting home and asked for a re-do with a different person and they refused saying I had to go back to the same person. Later spoke with owner and asked for a refund. She dug her heels in insisting service was already provided, but it really wasn't. An actual standard pedicure was not provided. I paid $60 for a foot massage! Going to a nail spa is more than just cutting, filing, painting, etc. it's also about the EXPERIENCE! It's about being taken care of and feeling good. This situation could very easily have been made right by the salon. It seems they care more about taking your money than providing a good service so people want to come back. Never again.

I had tony and he did a great job with my nails. Repaired my two nails perfectly. I left with the exact shape I asked for (coffin).

SUMMING IT UP: these techs need better training!!!!…read more Based on others' reviews, I'm not the only one who had a bad experience. --- I went here for the first time on June 11 for a dip manicure. It's a cool place - well lit, techs lined up like a bar! Very busy. Trendy. Notably, the receptionist is so sweet, with a soft, soothing voice, which is so nice for such a busy place. So, I had my nails done, and they looked great. The technician was pleasant enough. No chatting, and a little hard to understand. But She asked me if I was happy and if I would come back again and I was, and would have... ...IF my nails had stayed nice for 3 or 4 weeks! But they cracked -- within a week. Hairline cracks all over!!! I've never had that happen! Was it Applied too thick? Now they are all chipping and breaking off and look horrible at 3 weeks. I can't trim or file them - they crumble, shatter when I try to trim off the chipped/broken ends. So disappointed- wasted time and money and my nails look awful. At my usual place, the dip lasts 4-5 weeks before I have to change it, as my nails have grown out too much. Disappointed. Will not go back. I went back to my regular place and had it all removed. My nails are so short and thin, some actually HURT if I put any pressure on them! I just had my regular nail tech put strengthener on them. I will let them grow out and heal.
