When I went in for my appointment I ran into two gentlemen that used to work in my area Henry & Eddie, it was great to see them. Henry did a great job. One of the girls (didn't get her name) came over and did some artwork on two of my nails. Great experience and would totally recommend T C Nails. I made an appointment for 11:00am for a pedicure. I was on time. They put me in a chair and my feet in the water. The person I made the appointment was doing another person's nails when I arrived. I sat there with my feet in the water until 11:30. I proceeded to take my feet out and put my socks on. Several people then finally said something to me. "Oh it will be just a few more minutes. " I put my boots on and my coat and told the person I had a 11:00 appointment and the last time this happened was at Pavlova and I never went back. Very disappointed. Made an appointment for 4 regular pedicures for the grand re-opening and had an INCREDIBLE experience. The salon was very busy but they accommodated our appointment right away. The pedicure service was very thorough, the salon is completely renovated, and the pricing was great. We will happily be back. I'm not one to hate on small businesses. The first time I went in here, it was a walk in and my acrylic set lasted me for an entire 3 weeks, other than my pinkies. (I have weak nail beds as is that's not the issue at hand). The second time I came here, I booked an acrylic fill for myself and a dip for my friend. I'm sure there was some sort of miscommunication, they thought that I wanted a dip. (Also not a big issue, easy fix.) However, they did not handle it professionally or even nice at all. The manager told me that she had asked me if I wanted a dip or acrylics multiple times (all which I said acrylics! My friend wanted the dip). I explained that she was getting a dip and I was getting a fill. The manager was extremely rude to me about the entire situation. I work in customer service, but I understand that you can't be rude to customers. I was then moved to an acrylic nail tech, to which I was told that I would have to pay for a full set instead of a fill, which is what I was in for in the first place. I ended up having them take off my previous acrylics, paid for that service, and left. I'm sure everyone has different experiences with this establishment, but kindness is free. Very poor customer service. Called to make an appointment for nails for my granddaughter & a pedicure for myself. The gentleman said 12 noon no later. Got there before noon & met us at door. Took my granddaughter right away & a walk in for a pedicure. Then told me they would be right with me. so I sat down 1/2 hour later granddaughter done still nothing for me. They acted like it was not a problem but still had to wait. I just said forget it & paid for my granddaughter nails. No apologies or concern, preceded talking Chinese between themselves. I hate to write poor reviews but I just want to share about my experience. I give this 2 stars because my manicurist was very friendly but I couldn't be more disappointed with the final product. I got a regular mani / pedi (50$) and felt very rushed, both were done in 40 minutes by the same man. It is now 24 hours later and the polish is coming off of my toes. I have not gone to the beach / gone swimming / etc. Super disappointed. Heading to CVS to buy polish and re do myself. Would not go back. read more

I will never go here again. My friend who lives here always talk about how she loves her place, but she always goes to the same nail tech every time and now I understand why. We called and made an appointment for 3 dip manicures. When we got there, there were only 2 techs and we felt very rushed. The man who did my nails forgot to give me a top coat. I was too embarrassed to say anything, but my friend convinced me to go back because my nails looked horrible and scratchy. When I went back the next day they were very polite, but rushed me AGAIN. I hate to cheat on my guy in Chicago, but it had to be done. I was in TVC, and my toenails were screaming, "paint me, paint me, I want color!!!!" It costs $23 for a pedi at TC Nails. I spent and extra $7 for the salt rub. Taamy did a great job of massaging my feet, removing all the crud that a girl who works on her feet acquires, and she painted them nicely with "How Lola can you go?" color from China Glaze. It was almost 6:30 when I walked in, and they close at 8:00. I walked out at 7:30, and drove to the bank ATM, only to realize I left my debit card at the nail salon. I called them, and Taamy waited for me to drive back , even though they were technically closed. In all the drama of leaving my debit card, and not being used to driving my Mama's STS, I hit my big toe on the parking break and f&*ked up my pedi! It was totally my fault, but still. I feel cheated out of the pretty and perfect toes I paid for. Maybe tomorrow morning, I'll go back and Taamy will hook me up. I'll start by saying that I went to yelp.com first, and so decided to be savvy and make an appointment with Bao herself (I called ahead the day before). She is young and friendly, and she paid such attention to detail - an artist at what she was doing. We had nice conversation and she was pleasant and careful - definitely earned her tip! I went in with pink-and-whites that needed to be filled, and I thought the white tips had grown out too much, so I said "we can just paint them this time - I don't need a pink and white balance." She said she could do the pink-and-white if that's what I preferred, and that it wouldn't take extra time. I was sold! (the pink and whites are more professional for my line of work) Bao was finished in less than an hour, and just look! The photos speak for themselves. I was afraid to "cheat" on my girl Kim from Sylvania, Ohio (in actuality, I'm out of town for 5 weeks, so she knows I had no choice!). But Bao did an excellent job and is now my official home-away-from-home technician. I can't say enough, go with the technicians specifically recommended here! Walking in and choosing any nail technician might be a mistake (and seems to be the cause of the negative yelp reviews). So my recommendation is, call ahead and make an appointment with Bao -- You will be pleased! And don't forget to tip her well. :) read more

They were very nice and my pedicure was amazing but my fingernails look awful! She got glue all over my fingers, they are way too thick and she couldn't even do the design i requested. Worst pedicure ever! Would never recommend! Was visiting the area and found this location for dip nails and pedicure. The gentleman who did my dip nails was good and gentle, and nails are holding up! The pedicure not so much. I was treated by an older, heavier woman and not only was she rough, she drew blood once on my big toe and once on my pinky, her work stunk. She filed poorly and I already have a chip. The heels were the most traumatic! She attempted to use a kitchen cheese grater, nothing I have ever seen in a salon. All this while having my foot propped up on a yoga block over the basin of water. My leg kept slipping and she came close to taking bites out of the back of my heel. This was the WORST mani-pedi I have ever had. AND, the salon is dirty. I got a shellac manicure and the man who did my nails got shellac polish all over my skin. The manicurist really did not pay attention to the natural borders of my nails and there were huge globs of shellac at the edges of my nails and on my skin. I was picking the shellac off of my skin for days. The shellac manicure lasted for four days (!!!) before it started chipping and I was easily able to scrape it off myself. I got a regular pedicure. I told the man that I wanted my nails cut straight across and he ignored that and cut my toenails in a round shape, digging out the nail from the corner of my toe and cutting/ pulling it in an incredibly painful way, despite my requests for him to stop. The paint job was bad and he must have used a cheap top coat, because it produced a thick, bubbly clear layer over the tangerine color I had selected. DO NOT GO HERE. I live in a large East Coast city and have gotten mani-pedis for much cheaper and at a MUCH higher level of quality. read more

I brought my nieces here for a girls spa day... which turned out to be a girl's 20-min spa day. I've never experienced a quicker spa pedicure in my life! And I didn't exactly want it to be as such... To break it down: 5 stars for there being a nail salon in TC that has spa chairs -2 stars for my pedicurist who spent the first 15 min gabbing on the phone while she worked on me. She only got off to do the actual painting. -1 star for being rushed through everything. No one was waiting for a spa chair when I was done, but they booted me out of it and sent me off to the dryer - no relaxing here! I guess if there truly isn't anywhere else to go up here, I'll come back... but I think I'd rather save my $23 + tip and do my toes myself. read more

WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. I had broken my toe a month back and the nail was starting to kind of chip off I guess. The guy took the nail by the cuticle and tried to rip it off. I flipped out and made him glue it back on. He then did my dip. He messed up about three times. It hasn't even been 24 hours and my dip is chipped and my toenail has fallen off. My appointed was also at 1:00pm and I didn't get in until 1:55pm. They will not refund me for my dip and not take into consideration that he ripped off my toenail and then glued it back on. I usually go to the nail bar but they couldn't get me in until that night...totally should have waited rather then try this place. Will never go back. read more

I went here for a pedicure and shellac manicure before my wedding. The salon is well located with plenty of parking. I called a few days in advance and easily got appointments for three of us. The salon looked fairly new but everything was a bit dingy. I was concerned about the cleanliness of the tools they used. The mani pedi turned out great. I think if they simply gave the place a good deep cleaning it would be great. Also they should focus on the customers a bit more. My manicurist was on the phone taking reservations. read more

By far the worst manicure and pedicure I've ever received. I went there yesterday, and asked for shellac French manicure- today the white tip portion is chipping. He also accidentally cut my cuticle (which is fine, it happens) but instead of stopping the bleeding he painted over the blood. So now I have blood under the clear nail polish. He missed the sides of my nails. Also I asked for a pedicure- they had me put my feet in the water, did a terrible job painting my nails, and that was it! No lotion or anything else. I asked him to correct the bad areas; he got very defensive telling me that he didn't know what my problem was and that he didn't see anything wrong.... I highly recommend to not get the guy with the tattooed arms and consider going elsewhere. VERY DISAPPOINTED! a waste of $70 bucks. The service was maybe worth $10. read more

Is it possible to give zero stars? My wife went to get a shellac mani and had to leave mid service due to injury by the nail tech. Instead of just soaking off the old polish, he apparently wanted to expedite this process by filing it off and was so aggressive with the electric file, he drilled into her actual nail which was extremely painful and left it severely damaged. She said she no longer wanted shellac, that her nail had to heal and he looked surprised and still charged the polish removal fee. Horrible service!!! read more
