You can also add chorizo or morcilla (blood sausage) for an additional $2 which is worth it if you want the traditional full experience. There was no host at the front when we arrived so we seated ourselves. After a few minutes, a waitress came over, took our order and kept things moving. Service wasn't overly warm but it was efficient and consistent. This is a casual straightfoward colombian spot nothing fancy.

The establishment was clean and attractive as were the servers, who were also very polite, fast, friendly and accommodating. I genuinely enjoyed everything about El Colombiano as am sure you will too if you enjoy Colombian food. Highly recommend it!

Once you get past that part, the place is actually nice and the atmosphere is good. The food? Honestly, very good. No complaints there. But... for the prices they charge, I expected a little less "fast food" and a little more "we care." Drinks came in plastic cups--at these prices, I was hoping for at least a real glass, maybe even a little dignity. When I asked for a container for leftovers, I was politely sent on a scavenger hunt to grab my own from a table. So yes, good food, cool space--but overpriced for the experience and the service model. If I'm paying premium prices, I'd love premium service... or at least a glass cup. Three stars: come for the food, stay because you already paid

I couldn't resist trying both fish dishes, and I'm so glad I did! * Filete de Pescado a la Plancha (Grilled Fish Fillet): Lightly seasoned, perfectly grilled, and flakey. I ordered two passion fruit juices, and both tasted incredibly fresh--like they had just been blended moments before serving. I also had a Manzana Postobón (apple soda), which added a sweet, nostalgic Colombian touch. And let me tell you, they gave me a taste of their $5 margarita and it was so good. Lightly sweet, tangy, and not too strong--definitely a deal worth coming back for. The staff were welcoming, patient with questions, and quick with service. I appreciated the sample of the margarita--it shows they're proud of what they serve and confident you'll come back for more (and they're right). The inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated with colorful accents, bright red seat cushions, wooden tables, hanging greenery, and Colombian flags tastefully placed throughout the space. No light breakfast for me today, only a large espresso prepared from Mazzucco Italian coffee beans. It was satisfying and provided a nice bold taste and a jolt. One of the drink specials advertised was the $5 Margaritas and 5/$25 Beers. On Saturdays and Sundays the 2 for $30 entree deal looked interesting. The rear of the dining room included a second business called Viamericas and Zia Cargo which were a courier and money transfer companies. I guess they sub-lease the space, not sure. The gender assigned bathrooms were clean with a wall painting and a corner pedestal added to the decor. My table had a used candy wrapper which kept eye balling me while I sipped my coffee. The cowboy hats were prominently displayed hanging throughout with the addition of latin music playing it was a nice touch.
