The tomato-based noodle soup is rich and slightly tangy. We like that it's always served piping hot and comes with a crispy pork cutlet. The cutlet does soften quick while soaking up the soup. You can also pick between their braised beef noodle soup or their house beef noodle soup with tripe, beef rolls & a smaller pork cutlet for $10.99. It's light but you can jazz it up with their aromatic hot sauce that isn't very spicy. Hand-pulled noodles are thick & bouncy while the bowl portions are a fair size. The spice level wasn't at all overwhelming, although our server took care to point out that it is a spicy broth. It took me a good while to get through the huge, packed bowl. I could taste the sugar and likely msg, but it was thoroughly enjoyable. The restrooms are a little tricky to get to and tight, with 1 of the 2 ladies' stalls out of order. Still, you could tell it was originally quite pretty, and the little touches like fancy soap and air freshener carry it. The service was impeccable. Our ever polite server made several visits to our table throughout our meal, unobtrusively refilling our glasses of water and checking whether we required anything else. I would not hesitate to return for another meal here when back in Leaside.
