This Chinese restaurant is a few steps from the Yonge & Finch intersection and serving Sichuan-style dishes that I haven't tried. I love the flavor of the shredded pork and when you come during lunch (1100 AM - 2:30PM), you can avail their lunch special that comes with two sides and one soup. They also have a deal during snack time (2:30-5PM). Choose from sausages, chicken wings, cuttle fish, popcorn chicken + fries + pop for $10. During our visit, there were not many customers dining in, which surprised me since their serving size was massive given the price. But, they seemed to be more popular with takeouts! What we got: Shredded pork in garlicky sweet and sour sauce (lunch combo) Spicy pork intestine in pot with fries Pickled mustard and snakehead fish fillet King sausage snack time deal

Qia 19 Eatery is a casual Chinese restaurant located near Yonge and Finch in North York that specializes in affordable, flavorful Sichuan cuisine. It features signature dishes such as Smoked Pork Fried Rice, Double-cooked Pork Belly, Stir-fried pork with garlic sauce and Kung Pao Chicken. The eatery is popular for both dine-in and takeout, offering affordable lunch combos as well as $10 snack combos in the afternoon. We loved the food here specially the eggplant with minced pork! The staff are friendly and the service is very fast. It's only a 5 minute walk from Finch subway station.

A true hidden gem in North York, flavourful, authentic, and full of real Sichuan character. Every dish was packed with rich seasoning and that irresistible wok hei. Portions are big, and the pricing is very fair for the quality you get. All the dishes arrived hot and freshly cooked. The Spicy All In One was our top pick, and the Blood Tofu Stew in Chili Sauce was delicious as well. The chicken egg fried rice had great texture and amazing wok aroma, super satisfying. Service was friendly and fast, and the location is just steps from Finch Station, making it really easy to drop by anytime. We'll definitely be returning for more!

Environment -Atmosphere was very nice, the interior had cherry blossoms around and lifted the vibe in the place -Very clean dining space, felt very comfortable in the restaurant from the second we sat down. Everything was close to a 4.5 honestly, each dish had something that made it memorable. Portions were solid too. Really recommend this place if you're looking for a good brunch spot in the city. Looking forward to coming back.

For 8+ they had to connect tables of not same height and size, which made it awkward and some times wobbly. The waitress were not paying attention to the whole table and were just asking the head of table. Had to wait for 30 minutes to get my coffee. And did I say we were there for brunch. So you imagine coffee would be served fast.

This is a great local Korean spot located in the food court area of the Galleria. I often come here…read moreif I want decent Korean food with no strings attached. FOOD (3/5) We always order a Soon Tofu stew and Kamjatang (pork bone soup). Both stews are served in a traditional hot stone bowl and comes with rice and some banchan (side dishes). Both stews are have a flavourful and mildly spicy broth. The Soon Tofu comes with a decent amount of tofu but is a bit shorter in seafood with usually a shrimp and pieces of squid and mussels. The same can be said for the pork bone soup as it doesn't typically have as much meat on the bone as other Korean restos. The side dishes it comes with are bean sprouts, kimchi, and pickled turnip. SERVICE (n/a) Since it's part of a food court, it's all self service and served on tray which you bus yourself back on the rack in front of the restaurant. VALUE (4/5) The dishes are usually about $3-4 cheaper than comparable Korean sit-down spots (eg. Owl, BCD). Because it's food court style, you don't have to pay for the service or tips. OVERALL (3.5/5) Jinmee is great spot for a quick hearty Korean meal. If you're looking for a nice sit down spot with homey ambience, this isn't it. Quick, easy, tasty, and good value. Will continue to be a go-to spot for me.

Closer to 3.5 stars but not bad for food court! Jin Mee is inside Galleria and offers a selection…read moreof stews. We had the pork bone stew (#1 on the menu) and the spicy seafood tofu stew (#3 on the menu). Both were $10.99 so pricing here is pretty decent considering most places charge upwards of $15 these days. There was a sign emphasizing that they don't use MSG in any of their dishes. Stews are served with purple rice and 3 side dishes - kimchi, bean sprouts, and cucumbers. The pork bone stew was good but the meat wasn't "fall off the bone" and could have been softer. The spicy seafood tofu stew was as expected and had a bit of seafood, zucchini, tofu, and an egg in it. Both soups for the stews were flavourful!

Hou Kee is a great budget friendly spot for a tasty and filling meal…read more FOOD (4/5) The Longjiang Pork Knuckle Rice is their specialty dish and is their store's namesake. The main portion of the dish is super tender braised pork knuckle (not as weird as it may sound) on a bed of white rice glazed with a house Chinese BBQ sauce. It comes with sides of pickled "sour" veggies (酸菜), cabbage, tofu, and hard boiled egg. The pork knuckle almost melts in your mouth and is so decadent with the BBQ sauce. The sides give nice textural contrast and palette contrast. VALUE (5/5) The pork knuckle rice altogether is $10 plus tax and leaves you full and fulfilled. Great portions and is balanced with good proportion of meat, rice, and veggies. They only take debit or cash. LOCATION (3.5/5) Located on the East side of Yonge St by Northtown Way, it is halfway between Finch and North York Center subway stations. There is paid street parking along Yonge. The store is quite small with 2-3 tables, so would expect to do takeout during peak hours. OVERALL (4.5/5) Really good value for a tasty well rounded meal. I will definitely be returning if I want a quick lunch or dinner with bang for buck. Paired with great flavours and quality of ingredients makes this a nice cheap eats reco!
