The store itself is okay minus it being understaffed and cluttered. The parking lot is a nightmare. Have not had much luck with the ready made food, usually not available. The cluttered isles, long lines and frustrated customers does not help the ambiance. And then you have to get out of that parking lot. read more

This is, without question, one of the worst grocery stores I've ever shopped at. The place is chronically understaffed, which means checkout lines regularly stretch 10-15 people deep. Even the self-checkout line is always backed up because there simply aren't enough stations open. The deli is a constant letdown -- the ready-made foods like jojo's, chicken strips, and other hot items are never stocked, no matter what time of day you go. It's like they've given up on even trying. The pharmacy staff is consistently rude, and despite bringing it to the manager's attention multiple times, nothing ever changes. To top it off, the bags they provide are so flimsy they tear just carrying groceries from the cart to the car. I live in Stanwood and avoid this store at all costs -- which says everything, considering there are only two grocery stores to choose from. This place is an ongoing disappointment. read more

I've shopped at Stanwood QFC and its pharmacy for 25 yrs and rate both highly. This is a special shout-out to Max at the pharmacy. During July, 2025, I needed a medication that was out of stock in Stanwood and the rest of the US! While many blame a pharmacy for what is impossible to access, I recommend first looking up a med's availability @ www.fda.gov/drugs/drug-safety-and-availability/drug-shortages. You'll see shortages or other problems. Sure enough, I saw my med was hard to fill this month but that didn't deter Max at Stanwood. He spent more than an hour researching and calling other pharmacies on my behalf & it was filled within 3 hours of my first contact. I'm grateful for Max and QFC's Stanwood pharmacy. The pharmacy is ridiculously incompetent and inefficient. My father received his oncology meds there for the last year. Not once were his prescriptions ready on time, even when we'd call ahead to verify. Then, when he was on comfort care, they "didn't receive" some of the electronic RX's multiple times. Would give excuses like "our system went down and we lost everything", however some would go through, just not others. I physically watched the hospice person submit the orders, twice...on two separate days. I'm so glad the prescriptions may be available days too late, probably after he's dead. Worst. Pharmacy. I am a little perplexed on such a low rating, costs are what they are but this place has the best donuts, meat and cheese selection around and even if it's brought in from another company, it's nice that you still have that type of quality. Furthermore a Starbucks, two separate bathroom, a cheese thing, not even sure what to call it, a decent beverage selection of all types, open decent hours, and their recent Valentines flower display was seeing a lot of people buy for only a short time I was there and it had to do with a decent selection amount. A good place to stop and pick up supplies for staying on Camano Island for a few days or if you just want a snack for the road. They have the essentials and a good selection of pre-made foods. For the most part I do like shopping at this location. Store is usually clean and shelves are usually stocked. Yesterday we stopped here to get custom sandwiches made just to be told they weren't making custom sandwiches due to employee shortage. But the three girls working behind the counter instead of making me a sandwich rather stand there talking to each other. Seeing that made my blood boil!!! I love this place every time I come visit. Last time I was here, they had $6 rose bouquets. They have a huge selection of wine that is reasonably priced, along with a great selection of groceries. Finally, the staff are so helpful. I was in from out of town and didn't have a qfc card. One of the staff got it for me in a blink of an eye, saved me a bunch of money, and I didn't have to fill anything out! Definitely will return next time I'm in the area. read more

Tonight at QFC was a mess. I don't understand why they don't open the other self check out. It has never been open all the years I have been shopping there. Wonder why they invested in it and then just let it sit idle. The parking lot at QFC has always been a problem. It may cost more but I would recommend going to Haggens as the parking lot is easy and the store is spread out with plenty of checkers/self check to get you on your way quickly. As I was loading my groceries into my car, I felt like I needed a forklift to get them in and also out of my car. Once home I find my eggs on there side and open, had to scoop back in. Another bag had 1pt. Cream and 1qt. Half and half on bottom then 14- 15oz. cans and 1- 10oz. Yet again several more bags containing raw meat and cleaning product, cereal hot/cold . Could go on. Don't bother to call and talk to manager, they can't be bothered. read more

Thank you QFC for having beer, wine, snacks, ice cream and brownies to take to my friend's house on Camano Island. Sure, QFC is really expensive, but if you don't have a card you can say, "Hey, I want to sign up for a card" at checkout and they will swipe one and give it to you, giving you the discounts on the booze you are probably buying. I'm sure we'll end up with a few cards. The people working here are really pleasant and helpful, except that lady in the bakery who wouldn't help me even though I stood there with another customer for five minutes. We had a last minute cake order for our daughters birthday that we called in the same day. The staff was extremely friendly and willing to help in anyway they could. We got to the store the cake was ready to go and exactly what we wanted. Our review doesn't stop here, we got to our daughters birthday and opened the cake box everyone was overjoyed with how great of a cake it was. Not only did it look great when we cut into the cake it was moist and the frosting was amazing!!!! This is a very large store with a lot of options and a pretty good organic produce apartment. However, they just started charging to receive some cash back. For the record, islanders on Camano do not have to pay for cashback at IGA.Getting some cash back is helpful and time saving. I'll be more likely to shop at IGA and less likely to shop at QFC now. Who wants an extra trip at the bank? Plus how cheap can they be when QFC makes profit on your purchases, but still want to charge you for cash back? read more

I found the secret for shopping in this store. I went in at 8am on a Sunday. Parking was a dream and the checkers were so nice. They went out of their way to be helpful. One of the checkers admitted that if I came in after 11am I would have had an entirely different opinion of my shopping experience. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is good. So I will continue to give my Sunday morning treks a try. read more

I am so frustrated right now. The most vulnerable people during this Covid-19 crisis and people are taking advantage of them. Why, because they can. They are under orders to stay sheltered. Yet, doing what they are told to do, they are becoming targets. QFC says place your order on line for delivery. So you do. Then, Insta-Cart steps in to do the shopping and delivery. Then, your Insta-Cart Shopper, proceeds to do their personal shopping, on a seniors credit card. QFC says to bad so sad, but we cannot do a thing to help you. Oh here is Insta-Cart's number. Speaking to Insta-Cart, not their problem, it is QFC's problem. Really! I am telling all seniors to not use this service or QFC for that matter. They are both finger pointing now. I typically shop at Haggen in Stanwood, despite their recent remodel, but we were passing by QFC today so we dropped in to pick up a few things. This store just doesn't make it for me--never has & hasn't changed. The first thing I've noticed the few times I've gone in here is that it stinks. Literally. I don't know if it's because it was built on swamp land or what but it's very unpleasant. Things are very difficult to find. My husband was looking for chicken sausage today--couldn't find it. I was looking for #6 Melitta coffee filters--not on the shelf. When we got to the checkstand, the checker asked me the usual "Did you find everything you were looking for?" When I told her no, I couldn't find the #6 coffee filters, she said "They should be on the shelf." No offer to help, have someone go look, order some. No apology. No eye contact. And don't even get me started on all the furniture, towels, etc. Half of the store is non-food items! It looks like a Fred Meyer store...oh yeah. They're both owned by Kroeger. No more business from us. The service and quality, especially for organic vegetables, has always been better at Haggen. Employees actually know the meaning of customer service at Haggen. My impression is that most of the locals shop at Haggen and most of the tourists shop at OFC because it's a familiar store to them. read more

I've liked this store for a long time, my family shops there. Today, I tried to buy a corn dog with self checkout and asked Paquita why it wasn't on the welcome screen. She could barely speak English and kept demanding I put my phone number for gas rewards. I don't but gas at a grocery store and refused to enter a phone number. She raised her voice an intimidated both me and my daughter. I asked her for a comment card for customer service and again her English failed her. Things can be hectic enough, who would have thought buying a $1.50 corn dog through self check could be such an emotional experience. read more

Never again! Saturday at 9:00 AM. Stanwood, WA No checkers at checkout registers. No checkers at "15 items or less" registers. Service desk empty and with Closed sign. Woman with very full cart ahead of me unloading on register 5 (employee, long gone, had told her to). I am behind her with full cart. Employee wandering around looking for a checker - unsuccessfully. Up this aisle, down another, up another, down another, repeat. Eventually, another employee (who couldn't be walking any slower and still be in forward motion) ambles by and says, "You have to go to register 4." She walks past and away out of sight. A while later a checker comes out and sees the woman in front of me with her groceries piled up on register 5. "Oh, I can't do aisle 5. I have to get ....(whatever it was) to do aisle 5." Goes and gets the permission or whatever and comes back. Starts checking out aisle 5. I WALK OUT OF THE STORE AND LEAVE MY FULL CART BEHIND. The guy behind me in line with 2 items in his hand, at this register because the "quick registers" ARE STILL CLOSED, gets to go quicker than he thought he would. NO APOLOGY, NO HUSTLE, NO CHECKERS, NADA. I went up the street to Haggen's. The prices are higher but there was somebody available to check out with, there was no line, and she was friendly. read more

As a local Stanwoodian, I have the choice of either QFC or Haggen. Haggen is closer to my home, but I prefer QFC. Good meat and seafood, nice produce. I especially appreciate the self-check out and if I go at a slow time no one seems to mind that I am running a full cart through. Their small houseware department is also nice, often saves me a trip north. Not the best parking lay-out -- difficult to park a truck and boat. Oh, and forget trying to get to the store during any of Stanwood's too-frequent parades. read more

I really like QFC. I shop there often. The employees are so friendly. The gas discounts are good too. They have a great beer and wine selection. I do wish they were a little less expensive though. If I am doing big shopping I go elsewhere. They have added another Redbox I am thrilled about because Ive had to wait a long time with two anxious little kids to get a movie! read more
