The thing that im upset about is the staff, some of the workers are nice but others feel the need to nag you and push and if you don't comply they will immediately tell you to to leave I just can believe how poor there service is. I primarily went into Haggen Food & Pharmacy because they had a Chase bank inside. This location is located on 72nd Avenue in Stanwood. They have multiple locations throughout WA. They have everything you could find at a regular grocery store, including a Floral department and a ready-to-eat section. They had some beautiful flowers when I visited. I wonder if it's because all the flowers in the PNW are just gorgeous! The store layout was a bit weird, though, like, it doesn't continue but dead-ends in certain areas. It's not bad but just something I found unusual. What I did like here was their bakery department. Oh my gosh! I think I found my favorite bagels ever!!! I bought a bag of 4 cheese bagels from their bakery and they were dense and light with a slight chew. I put them into the toaster oven to quickly heat up and to get a bit of a toast around the outside and -- wow -- it was the perfect texture for me! Oh how I wish I bought more and that we had Haggen's here in SoCal! I also found that they sold the pretzels I had on my flight. They were on sale so I bought a few of their large bags to bring back home and to give out as gifts to family. Oh and they had what I thought was one of the best tortilla chips (Juanita's). I bought a bag to bring back home. I liked that this Haggen's was clean. The parking was plenty and the people who work here were friendly. Overall, I found some cool treasures. I also bought some excellent Prime ribeye steaks to leave at my brother's and other items I picked up before my flight back. A variety of to-go items were already out with the deli and sushi areas hard at work when I arrived at the Haggen in Stanwood around 8:30 a.m. today, Wednesday 24 May 2023. Inside the entrance and to the right is a deli area, making one's way towards the back of the store one goes through a produce section before reaching the bakery. Looking over items in the different areas, I decided to go with a Haggen deli Focaccia Club sandwich from the to-go area. Payment was easy to navigate through self check-out as was paying with my debit card. The sandwich had different proteins (bacon, turkey, ham), two different cheeses, layered veggies (lettuce, tomato, red onion), and a flavored mayo spread with herbed focaccia bread serving as the top and bottom of the sandwich. I found the bread to be fluffy, the vegetables were fresh, the meats juicy and well-cooked, and the cheese was not hardened. The mayo spread was very flavorful. It was on the large size, but worth the $8.29 pre-tax ($9.06 with tax) price tag. Parking was abundant on my visit today, but was filling up when I passed back this way about an hour and half later (10:00 a.m.) this morning. read more

I like the changes, the bigger bathrooms is nice, always fresh stuff, I wouldn't mind seeing the hot foods open an hour earlier but maybe they have that forecasted out correctly at 11. I like the whole section of fruits and veggies and bulk, leading back to the bakery. It has the same layout as most haggens but this one does have some recent upgrades. I can't say really anything bad about it, or even something sub-par. The staff are always friendly, you got a choice of self checkout or a checker. I know I see a decent amount of the high school kids come over so they must find some convenience in it which sometimes is a relief, a place to go and get some stuff you need before or after school. Moved out here from the city a few months ago. I have to say it's a beautiful grocery store. I enjoy shopping here. I feel like I'm shopping at Whole Foods- pretty pricy. But they do have a great quality and selection of everything. I'm glad I have such a great market 5 minutes away. read more

QFC and Hagens are the best grocery stores in Stanwood and Camano Island. Prices are ok at both store and selections of items are great. Employees are friendly and helpful when you need assistance. The new pharmacist refuses to fill prescriptions if he doesn't agree with your MDs diagnosis. I understand precautions when it comes to opiates and the like but antibiotics, birth control or supplements. It's inappropriate and completely out of line to argue with an MDs request. These decisions are made between patient and provider. Stay in your lane. read more

I absolutely abhor 'the card' - either have something on sale or not. I do not want to be part of your database. That rant aside, good produce and meat/seafood. Soggy chinese food, but works in a pinch, and what else can you expect from food sitting under warmers. Expensive as a whole, but it's not worth the gas to travel further. Not sure what the plants did to warrant jail time, and I hope to visit them when they are released. Recoded to a 1-star. After runing an instore marketing game (Monopoly) for 6 months, the store not only does not have any information on how to actually redeem prizes, but when I finally figured out how, it was too late. I worked here, a long time ago. I will say some employees are either high school age and dont seem to be friendly enough and or care that they are there... but some of the older staff have been repeadetedly rude to my mother and my other family members, they of course not knowing that is was my family or else im sure this wouldnt of happened. I will say they have great meat and seafood and vegetable! I love their selection. but they really need to treat their employees nicer, the number one complaint since i have stopped working there from people I know is that they arent treated right and their bosses and management treat them like absolute crap. this is prolly why some employees are rude, not getting a break or something. read more

5 Stars for the floral department! I tried to grow my own wedding flowers, and go figure they did not grow. Less than 2 weeks before my wedding I ran frantically into Haggen flower, looking for inexpensive yet beautiful flowers. I was helped immediately but Joan(? - apologies if that is the wrong name). But the service was exceptional, she worked with me to make sure all the flowers for my centerpieces & decorations were ordered and ready on time. They even took care of all the bouquets and boutinears. And the price was incredible for wedding flowers. Of course I went with baby's-breath and carnations, but $200 for everything for the wedding was pretty amazing, and on such short notice. This yelp post is more of a huge thank you!!! read more

Gross! I ended up throwing it away and was out the money Overall, I do not grocery shop here. Even though it's a nice store, I don't enjoy paying more for my groceries when I can get most of the same things elsewhere for quite a bit less money. Normally I go to QFC, but I was in a hurry this morning and Haggen is closer. I needed some raspberries for my breakfast, so I grabbed the only raspberry I could find in the whole produce section. Kind of disappointing, actually. It was a 6oz container, which I can grab right now at QFC for $3.00 the lady rang it up for $7.00. I said whoa, I thought the sign said $3.49. She said, they are already on sale from $7.99. She said they're like gold. Ok, not funny. I said I can get them much cheaper everywhere else. She said do you not want them? At that point, I should've said no, I don't and walked out. But I really wanted some raspberries with my breakfast. As soon as I got to my car and opened them, more than half of them were moldy. Like super green and fuzzy beyond recognition. $7.00 for a bunch of moldy disgusting raspberries. It's safe to say I will never be back here. read more

I am not happy with Haggen right now. I usually do my grocery shopping after I drop my daughter off to school. That early in the morning they only have a couple checkers working and I always get the same one. I'd love to say her name but I wont. She could not be any more unfriendly. This last time I went last week she was just starting to walk about from the checkstand as I walked up, the look she gave me because she had to come back and actually do her job was unreal to me. Below is a past review ! I am changing it from one star before to now five stars. I decided to do this as an extreme change but to leave my concerns as seen below for a bit longer and then those I will delete. The reasoning is I would like to point out all of the positives of my "old" grocery story the past ten years I have been a very dedicated shopper . The bakery is hands down the best bakery anywhere ! There cascade bread is amazing ! There pumpkin loaf beyond the best anywhere ! So much good about stanwood Haggens and usually great employees and service ! Scott who is one of there managers on duty usually takes initiative on any thing that needs addressing . He was at Arlington before as I was also before we both changed to the STANWOOD haggens. The bakery gal who always says hi to me and by my name always makes sure I have my cascade bread with the most freshness ! Usually most everyone very Friendly. Love love loved my haggens! After multiple recent issues with the deli department having some issues repeatedly with service calling the district manager I felt was in order. Although still to this day my yelp review was never commented on or apologetic from haggens along with my corporate comment I sent directly to there website. However I will be the big one and realize and comment on all of the amazing years of service and quality i always received there thru out store/bakery/deli and much more. I'm still on strike from going there and will be for many more months which is sad as that really changes things for me in my daily shopping. I still will send my daughter or husband in occasionally because of there amazing bakery items that no one anywhere can come close to reproducing however I really wish there upper management wanted to fix issues and that corporate would have responded to my online concern by swallowing there pride after the below yelp review and making it a concern but again not something I guess they wanted to after I posted a bad review. Anyhow I have changed my review to show that this grocery store has been Fabulous before i had my experience in that the deli struggles to give superior service.
