I know the Qdoba on Oakland Ave is mediocre to begin with, but this one might be the smallest I've ever seen - it's tinier than a friggen 12 oz can... I thought Qdoba's quality has been going down but this place takes the cake. Don't even bother with this location. They, for some odd reason, are the only location that up charges for things that are otherwise free. Ex: Guac, extra pico, or even queso. The bald manager dude clearly hates his job and anyone who comes in the door. He has been short and flat out rude every time I am in there. They ration as if they're helping the war efforts. And the food seems to be DAYS old. Absolutely repulsive and inexcusable. If it weren't for the starving college kids this place would be closed.. one star rating seems to be a bit generous for this place. you have been warned. read more

Good place for eats in walking distance of campus. They do a good business. I've eaten here a couple times in the past months and haven't been disappointed. The burritos are what you expect from any QDoba - good "spice" to them. For others in my family, it was their first time and they enjoyed it as well. Last time through I got a salad. The tortilla bowl was very tasty and went well with the abundant fillings. Quite satisfying. For being busy, I thought they did a decent job keeping it clean. This is a bell that will be rung often - not just for my student there, but for us as we visit and pickup/drop off. read more

The food is the food, just like any other QDOBA. If you're looking for piss poor employees they hate their lives come here. If you're reading any of my other reviews you might see a string of bad reviews but I am just going as I see. And remember even a decent restaurant gets a three so anything below that is what it is. Keep going - there are other Mexican places out there. Most will be better than this, even if they serve you mystery meat. My kids wanted Mexican - I wanted fast. Should've known fast never equals good. The food was thrown together with the speed of light - and it looked it. But for reasons unknown, we had to wait for 30 minutes ! to get it. The staff forgot to call us, even though the place was not busy. Once I finally got the plates - we discovered they forgot one entire order - it's 3 orders, how hard can that be? So we had to wait till my son's food was ready, and watch ours get cold. The staff could not less - they did not even apologize. Our plates looked like they went through an earthquake - they were tacos only because I knew we ordered tacos. The taste was mediocre at best. All in all, pathetic for $29. read more

This place is wonderful for quick, cheap Mexican food. The location is great if you live on the East Side. There is a bus stop right outside. Parking is great, they have their own parking lot and monitor it. There are plenty of places to sit. Also the hours are late so if you need something fast at night, stop here! I crave burritos, it's a problem. Is this authentic Mexican food in the slightest? No. Will it do when you are near UWM a lot and need a burrito fix? Heck yes! For some reason, the staff here is always SUPER nice to me. They literally check in on me to see how my day was and then share openly back. Pretty great. The employees really make this a four star establishment for me. The naked burrito is my favorite. In fact it is so large, I usually split it with the SO and get guacamole and chips. The chips are either super delicious and Limey or lackluster but will do. I love that they make the chip bag right in front of you. They are usually very generous especially if you come in late, which I tend to do. Hot sauce is my thing and they always add an extra teaspoon if I ask. To be honest I haven't had anything other than the naked burrito in a very long time but I'm usually very satisfied with the speed and service of this location. read more

Qdoba was a staple of my spring semester 2012 at UWM. It's the closest restaurant to campus that has a rewards program (that I know of) so if you go once a week, you get a free burrito after every 12, so basically once a semester. They will probably get to know you, and if you always get the same thing, they'll probably get to know your order too, because the manager is really great and he's usually there when I go. I used to always get the specialty burritos, which are usually a dollar or two more than the regular ones, but include queso or barbecue (which is amazing with pulled pork). Guacamole is extra, but it's included with the vegetarian burrito, which is a good price, and cheaper than going to Noodles next door. The craft two menu is also a good deal, I recommend the mexican gumbo because it combines the naked burrito and tortilla soup. Tacos and taco salads are good too, but quesadillas take an extra minute or two, so save them for when you're not in a rush. Qdoba is fast, and it's made to order right in front of you, so you can see all of the options you have and decide what you want. Tip from a trivia friend: if you order the vegetarian burrito with the guacamole on the side, then all of the hot ingredients are wrapped in the tortilla, and you can order a side of chips for digging into the guacamole, which is served cold. read more

I have been visiting this place almost twice a week, they do their best to retain customers amidst all the competition around - Jimmy Johns and Noodles n Company. Prompt service and fresh food every time I go. I used to go to UWM and this is just perfect for you to grab some quick food - What could be improved is their parking perhaps? I don't know how they would go about it, sometimes it gets crowded and gets hard to find a spot. what I end up doing is, I go to the other side to Noodles & co and use their parking.. which would possibly mean, I could get my food there. this was my every day lunch during the summer break and prefectly located just opposite the EE UWM deptt. During lunch time the line can be pretty long. Once they ran out of beans so they gave us extram chicken and veggie filling and drinkes were on the house. score for customer satisfaction. Its been 5yrs i went to this location as I no more stay in milwaukee, but i hope that the place has not lost its charm. I LOVE the concept of a 'build-your-own-taco/burrito' place. I've loved it since Qdoba opened about 10, 11 years ago. Tequila-marinated chicken? Check. Different kinds of beans? Check. Not a fan of this particular Qdoba. Normally a huge Chipotle fan, but there's none in the area. My complaints about this Qdoba are cold food, dry beans and old chicken. If you're in the mood for a cheap, cold, messy burrito, this is your spot! Will not be going here ever again, waste of money and poor quality food. I was pleasantly surprised because normally I stay away from places like Chipotle. I was disappointed that this place didn't offer whole grain tortillas or brown rice, though... My bowl was good enough, though, and perfect after a long bike ride :) Service is friendly, though all the workers were paying more attention to the Packers game on TV than to their work (food prep, cleaning up the dining area), or to the customers. As a result it felt like service was aloof, as if they could care less about the paying customers. read more
