One girl was on the line while another associate was talking with a friend. The line began to back up, associate asked for help on the line. The associate ( think it was the manager) disregarded the call for help. I left and never plan on returning do to the lack of urgency to tend to the customer. Let me know when new management takes over and I might consider coming back. Respect customers time, most customers in the afternoon only have 30 minutes on lunch. I placed an order online. Shortly after I arrived to pick it up, I watched a couple of people order and get hot food, while two bowls were put on the counter, where they sat. Meanwhile, I was standing in the area designated for online orders and was never acknowledged for more than 15 minutes. During that time, at least 10 people ordered then received their hot food. Seeing no one was paying attention to the two bowls on the counter, nor to me, I walked to the line for placing orders. I asked about my order. A few minutes later, a female employee walked to the two bowls on the counter, grabs them and walks briefly to a different part of the store. She returns with the two bowls in the bag and calls my name. When I expressed concern that my food had been sitting for 15 minutes. The employee insisted my food had just been made. I told her I had watched her pick up the bowls that I had known to be sitting on the counter. Again she stated the food was just made, and another employee said the same. I left. I arrived home a few minutes later, and, of course, the food was cold. I called for a manager who offered a qualified apology. "I am sorry you didn't like your food, but you saw how busy we were." Yes, I did. Busy enough to take orders and prepare hot meals for at least 10 meals, while mine sat. Its bad enough to be served cold food, but it's insulting to then be lied to about it." Hi. Not my first problem with this location. This time there was a family ahead of me, so I knew it would take some time to get in my order, no problem. Once they moved down the counter, I still waited, with 3 other employees just milling around, and not even acknowledging me. 10 minutes later the original server asked for my order. I wanted the mac & queso. She replied, "we no longer have that". I replied that it is on their website, on the front door, on the ordering counter, and also on the menu item board. She didn't say anything. I asked why the other employees didn't help me. She said one was for online orders(ok), one wasn't on the clock, and one wasn't even working that day. What!! It's the last time I get that treatment at this location. Every other Qdoba I have tried has always been attentive, had the menu items stocked, and I've never had a bad experience. The Lake Stevens branch give you that fake smile, and then call you a jerk behind your back. It could have so simple. I will make it my mission to steer people clear of that particular location. Every single time I go to the lake stevens location the employees are rude and they take several minutes to help us even though there are 5+ people behind the counter doing nothing. I was asked to put on a mask even though I'm fully vaccinated and I told them that and they said it's Qdoba policy then 4 employees behind the counter proceeded to pull their masks down and not wear them the entire time we were there and the manager on duty didn't say a single thing about it, talk to us during our visit, or do anything really except for chat with her employees. i am no longer going to this location and the current staff has ruined my experience the last 5 times I have come. I keep trying to give them benefit of the doubt but they continue to disappoint. read more

Ordered online for pick up. Got there right at the time it said our food would be ready. So here's how that works, they put your order in a bag, then set it on a rack in the dining room. No one checks when you go pick it up. I could have grabbed anyone's bag of food without paying for it and left. Setting it on that rack in the dining room must be to ensure ultimate cold, soggy food, because that's what we got. My son ordered nachos, it was a cold soggy bowl of mush. You couldn't tell the difference between the cheese and the tortillas. My wife ordered a taco shell taco salad. Except it wasn't in the shell, just a bowl, not what we ordered. And I ordered a steak burrito. The whole thing was cold, the tortilla was a soggy mess. It was also amazing how dry the steak was, while the rest could be so soggy. The fajita peppers were giant quarter slabs of bell pepper, and the sauce tasted like cheap canned enchilada sauce, but worse. This was my first time going to Qdoba. And it was also the last. Lake Stevens has several options for Mexican food. Keep this place near the bottom of your list. It's right above the Lake Stevens Taco Bell, which is the worst Taco Bell I have ever been to in this country. read more

Just had our first meal at the recently opened Qdoba in Lake Stevens. Meh. We ordered online and picked up (a fantastic option if it actually worked. We still had to wait for the food once we got there) and were excited to try this newcomer to our little city. Unfortunately, it wasn't that good. It wasn't horrible. But it wasn't $50 for lunch good. My burrito had all the pico de gallo at one end, no sour cream as ordered, and long strings of cilantro (i.e. stems) that were a bit distasteful to pull out of the burrito as you bit in. I will never eat there again. Months ago my husband and I were there and had to ask the guy making our food to please change his gloves after handling a number of items. Tonight we decided to try it again. The young girl making our food did not change her gloves. We watched her after getting our food, carry a bucket of ice back and forth, make food for herself and eat it in the prep and counter area, text on her phone, handle money, pull her pants up, rub her butt, run her hand through her hair and never change her gloves or wash her hands. If you have allergies I don't recommend you to come here because the employees do not care. When I asked the girl working if there was lime or lemon in anything she said no i don't think so. I told her I was allergic and tried confirming there was none in what I was getting. But she did not go check, she just said oh you're fine. Came in with my two small boys 3 and 1yr. There were 2 people ahead of me and I think we waited for almost 10 mins to get served. Instead of wearing and switching gloves he went to back sink to wash his hands after every order which also took forever. Then I asked for the burrito bowl which I told him it was just for my sons and that I only wanted brown rice and pinto beans. He literally gave me one small scoop of rice so I didnt have enough food to feed my 3yr. But he made sure to charge me $8.40 for a bowl that was only 1/4 filled with rice, pinto and cheese. I like Qdoba's food and enjoy the convenience. However... That is the only reason I am giving this Qdoba 2 stars. This particular location is terrible! The management seems to be non-existent, the staff don't appear to know what they're doing, and almost all of them have poor hygiene. Half of the time there is a long wait either due to the employees' inability to quickly and efficiently process orders or due to the fact that most of the employees are wandering around in the back doing who-knows-what. Everytime I have been there (probably a dozen times) they are out of something. Last night it was chips AND Pico de Gallo. In my opinion that is unacceptable. When they do have chips, they are caked with massive amounts of salt that just about make your mouth bleed. I have continue to go holding out some hope things would improve, but they only seem to be getting worse, which is really unfortunate because I was psyched to have a Qdoba in Lake Stevens. Please get things together at this location so we don't have to stop going there. read more

Had a good experience when this place first opened, since then haven't been able to go back and get a meal. First time I went I had no issues getting answers on what foods were GF. this time they were so unorganized I didn't feel comfortable eating there. I hope someone in Upper-management reads this: I came in on a rainy afternoon for lunch. The customer ahead of me was being very demanding of the employee, but this employee never lost his patience, and continued to be courteous to the rude customer. When it was finally my turn to order, I asked for the tortilla soup in a taco bowl. The employee told me that they didn't have any ready but that he'd be happy to make me one fresh if I were willing to wait; I happily agreed. Who wouldn't; fresh taco bowl! As he was standing at the fryer someone that I assume was the manager or a shift leader (from the way she was ordering everyone around) began to tell him quite loudly that if they're out of taco bowls, he should just tell the customer that they can't do it; "we can't be making taco bowls on the fly"... that's an exact quote. She wasn't even the tiniest bit discreet about it; she said it loudly enough for the CUSTOMER to hear. Unacceptable. First of all, if an item is on your menu, you'd better be prepared for someone to order it. Second, there was no one in line behind me, and business was slow; he had time. Third, customer service ALWAYS comes first. Period. This "manager" actually discouraged her employee from offering exceptional customer service, and right in front of the customer no less. Doubly unacceptable. I work in the customer service industry and would have written that manager up on the spot and then had to offer profuse apologies to the customer. I'm so angry about this young woman's treatment of the employee and her total disregard for the customer. I REALLY appreciated the fresh taco bowl; it was delicious. Even when they know I'm here waiting for my online order it still takes around 20 extra minutes. Meanwhile, I watch the line in store move faster than the online pick ups. What's the point then? What a great place with fresh tasty food! The employees were magnificent! I was going to ER from clinic and needed food, I have a severe medical diet and Qdoba accommodated!! The pulled pork was tender and moist, chicken was spicy and moist while the roasted peppers, onions and tomatoes were mouth watering! I topped my bowl with cilantro, avocado, tomatoes and lettuce of course!! It was fresh, it was healthy and I appreciated being fed!!! What's the saying? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Well I must be insane to keep returning to this location... Every single time I have been to this Qdoba they are out of some essential ingredient or understaffed. One time at 1:00p in the afternoon they were completely out of chicken and beef and said it would be at least 20 minutes before it was available. How are you constantly out of the main ingredient needed for your business?! Often one employee is on the line making orders while other workers are standing around doing nothing. They wait until an ingredient is completely out before beginning to cook/prepare more. If I'm going to spend the money, I want to be able to order my food the way I want it. I never know going in whether or not they'll have enough ingredients to make what I want. Also, have had issues with their Rewards/ discounts not being recognized. Manager was very rude when I asked about it. Angrily said " I don't know, not my problem" and walked away. The food was ok and since it had been a year we thought we'd give it another chance. This time the main area was filthy.
