We were in here today - food was fine, however the place was filthy and it just opened for the day. Booths were disgusting, there is soda sprayed all over the wall by the soda machine, plus it doesn't look like it's been cleaned in awhile. But to top it all off, one of the gentleman cooking sneezed multiple times (into his arm at least) but then just wiped it off with a paper towel. Then blew his nose several times, did not wash his hands or change gloves and started messing with the food again. The guy that served us was very helpful though and they were both nice. Not sure why Chipotle is still the more popular option that da Qube's. Some say Chipotle tastes better, but I don't know. I think they are comparable, but with Qdboba having far more options. I know, some people say more is not always better. At Qdoba, you get to choose not only burritos, burrito bowls, salads, or tacos, you can also pick quesadillas and nachos. The setup is similar to Chipotle: pick your format (nachos, burritos, bowl, etc), pick your protein, and then add stuff like rice, beans, lettuce, etc. Besides the different formats of the food, there's more toppings too! You can pick queso, guac (for free!) and various spices like cilantro and spanish onions. BATHROOM REVIEW: Located in the back, down a somewhat long hallway, the bathroom consists of one urinal, and an open toilet... no stall. So I assume you lock the door when you go in, or at least I did. The toilet was somewhat clean, and there were, for whatever reason, lockers in the bathroom. I didn't try to open em, so I can't say they were fully functional. Overall, bathroom was well-lit, and since it was down the hall, not a lot of foot traffic. I was so surprised by how good the food was here. We stopped here for a quick bite to eat and I was delighted by just how good everything was. The advice I could offer was the heat of the food, it was just warm when I picked it up. The Cholula® Hot & Sweet Chicken is so delicious, it wasn't to spicy and had a great amount of flavor. Qdobas, in general, are good, but not great, IMO. I prefer the taste and price if Chipotle. But, I want to give a shout out to the manager of this location! She is on it, she can multitask and stay positive at the same time. It was a pleasure to interact with her as the cashier and to watch how she handled other customers. Also, this location seems to have a very smooth carry out system which is key in the days of Covid. This was my first time ever eating at a Qdoba!! I love these types of taco places, they are my FAVORITE and I love to try different places when I'm driving through new areas to find the best. This place was probably the best place of its kind I've ever been to. I loved the vibes in the restaurant. It was extremely clean and very nice. The bathroom was very clean and very nice. I think having a nice atmosphere is very important so they did a great job here. As for the food, when I was there, it was cooked PERFECTLY. It was honestly so good I wish I got more to go. I had steak tacos and the steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My major issues with other places is that the meat is either impossible to chew or bland and flavorless. This food was amazing. Farewell Chipotle and Hello Qdoba! I'm honored to be the first to review this location. It's also my first time ever trying Qdoba. I don't see many of them anymore. And I hate to keep comparing it to Chipotle, but it's just very similar, but just way better. I have a few points about this visit. Firstly, the options they have are great. They have the typical bowls and burritos. Then they have taco salad bowls with shells and like a loaded nachos. I can really go on about the place, but the main points are that they use a lot of fresh ingredients and herbs and that makes everything taste better. Now, concerning my visit. We come visit Grand Geneva almost every year. I have a big family. We chose this place for dinner. We usually go to Culver's. We were about 50 people. In all fairness, we called ahead to let them know. It was pretty hectic, but the staff handled it very well. Shoutout to the manager. The only problem was they ran out of a lot of items. (Again, in all fairness, it was also Father's Day and we came around 8 pm)They ran out of salad bowl shells and that upset a lot of people. My dad actually left because he got upset. Eventually they ran out of tortilla chips and diet soda too I didn't understand why their fryer was off, but the guy said something about that they only fry in the morning only. Anyway, I'm so impressed with Qdoba. I'm not sure why they're not more in the Chicago area. It is definitely now on my top favorite restaurants. read more

I stopped in for a burrito bowl during lunchtime. Instead of going to order my food in line like I typically do I decided to use the restroom and I'm glad I did. It was disgusting! Someone upper decked the toilet with feces, pubes in the sink, the sink was covered in slimy residue and the floor looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a week! All of these items alerted me to other things when I left the restroom. The floor of the whole restaurant was dirty. The drink dispenser had crust on it. We are from out of town and we're looking for somewhere to eat on the Fourth of July. Most of the restaurants closed extremely early so about 8:00 we put in a rather larger order of about 9 meals. There were only two workers in the store and it was so busy (probably because everywhere else seemed to be closed). However, they were extremely kind and very hard workers. They offered us drinks since the wait may be a little longer than expected. They worked diligently and packaged our large order correctly and were extremely apologetic for the wait, even though they worked as hard and fast as they can. Rude staff. I order a kid's size gumbo every time I go here but this location's staff couldn't understand what I was asking them. The refused to let me have a mini gumbo and started arguing with me right off the bat and wanted to call their general manager to prove me wrong. The staff was unprofessional and rude before we even ordered anything. We also had to ask for chips and queso three times before they remembered to grab it. While eating, we had another customer come up to us and say, "Just so you know, we heard the staff talking mad s*** about you. This place sucks anyways." After that happened, we left leaving some of our trash on the table. On the way to the car, one of the workers came outside and started yelling at us. I will not be returning to the Qdoba after giving it 2 (yes, 2) second chances. Twice I've gone 10-15 minutes after the time allotted for my online delivery, and my order had not even been started. Each time I've had to speak with rude and disrespectful staff, I've left with a bad taste in my mouth. The manager begins fighting with her customers practically before they begin speaking and blames any issues on them. Three times this has happened and I won't be returning to this location. The last time (last week), the manager wiped her nose on her sleeve while arguing with me about my order. I've seen enough eye rolls from staff there to last me a year. What gives, Qdoba?
