I'm writing g about my experience not the service. The lady who serviced me had an horrible attitude. I was quiet my entire time with the exception of the one time I said one nail was not looking right. Now I said it in a very calm voice and she instantly said well if you don't know what's wrong with it I don't either. Ok ma'am I was just saying this nails looks like it has a glare or bubble but it's fine. I continued with the service not saying nothing. I did ask can I wash my hands she said if you want to I not a stranger to getting my nails done so I know how things are done but it's fine continue on. She finishes and just stands up and stares at me. I wash my hands and went to pay. No words no nothing. I paid she takes the money and walks away. No thank you or anything as if I owed her for her rude service. I won't be back. Her actions showed me I wasn't welcomed and my daughter , family, and friends won't come either. read more

As I look through the reviews I am shocked. This place is amazing. They are very professional and do a great job. I have been going to Ashley for several years and each and every time she has done an excellent job. One reviewer said her shaping is to a precision which I agree. I was hesitant about this place but the reviews gave me hope. I walked in and was instantly greeted which was fantastic. I picked out my color and proceeded to have a sit. The manicurist asked would I like shellac. I said no I would like gel. I asked what was the price difference. Shellac 27 and gel 20. I said let's get gel. She gets an attitude and say she has to go in the back and look for the color. So now I'm thinking isn't that what most people have to do... go look for something if it's not on the floor. Mind you it's not busy. There's only a couple clients so really no true rush. So she's polishing my nails. I asked her to stop digging into my cuticles because she was so rough. I'm very used to getting my nails done but it's never been painful except maybe after a fresh soak off. She gets an attitude about that. Now... I finally noticed she had two bandaids on her fingers so that's gross. But I'm thinking no worries only touching the nails so no contamination. Follow me.. there's more. After my nails are dry. I say politely that I would like to deny the application of lotion. She still puts the lotion on my hands and rub the bandaid against my skin. I thought I was going to faint. I then reminded her ma'am thank you but I don't need the lotion. She snatches the uv light from under my hand and said 27. You quoted me 20. She tells the other lady to talk to me. And it's not that I need 7 dollars but I'm expecting that when you give me a price it would honored. I paid 27 and will never return again. This was my second time coming to this salon. I got a pedicure and shellac manicure. When she started my manicure she was two nails in and noticed she didn't have enough polish and told me to pick a new color. She wiped my nails off and restarted. Later that evening, my entire thumb nail peeled off. Less than 6 hours within getting it done. I went back in over lunch the next day and had it fixed ( they did not charge). Last night I had my second nail peel completely off. See picture. I don't know if they used the wrong base coat or what but this is unacceptable. I went to DQ Nails for the first time tonight and had a very nice girl named Ing. My standby salon isn't open late enough to accommodate me on a new schedule. DQ is open until 8 Monday thru Saturday! I was amazed that the hot stone treatment was standard in their normal mani pedi!!! It was so delightful. Ing did a fantastic job and massaged my legs and my hands nicely... I was so relaxed when I left! Great quality for the money. I get less for more at the busy downtown Royal Oak salon I usually go to. read more

She was very friendly and asked what color pink I wanted for my pink and white (most never ask) and constantly asked if my nails were okay so far. I would 100% recommended QD nails! I have been going here for awhile and they're by far the best I have ever been too. The nail quality is perfect and they never fail to give me exactly what I want and make it perfect! Everyone there is so beyond polite which is amazing considering the employees are rude at any other location I have been too. I usually see Ann but I have seen others too and still have had no problems! Their pedicures and eyebrows are also beyond amazing, I have no complaints and highly recommend that you go to QD nails. Brought my 10 year old here to get her nails done. The lady asked what to do for her nails and I asked her to paint them and do nail designs on four nails (snowflakes). When she was done she came to show me at the pedicure chair, and all of her nails had a nail design. The lady wanted to charge me $20 for her when it's not what I requested. She said she asked my daughter if it was okay and she said it was. You don't ask a 10 year old child what she wants after you ask the parent. After telling her I wasn't going to pay for it she told me she was going to remove the nail designs from the fingers I wasn't going to pay for. Will not be returning. read more

Went there to get a filling and 2 new nails and for my new nails they tried to charge me $160 and they made me take all my nails off and for short nails they wanted $130 from me for just the acrylics. So I asked them to just take them off before they did it and for nail take off it was $10 and they charged me $20 read more

This place is very efficient- I have never had to wait at all- for my mani & pedi. I got the gel on my nails on June 2- & they are still intact.( a few of my nails broke on the tip.... But the French manicure stayed nice the whole time! The hardest part for me... Is making time for Me!. Yelp just proclaimed me the Duchess of QD Nails Salon & Spa!! Yeah!! Thank you Angela Wilson for telling me about this little Gem. The lady (Ann) really does an excellent job of exfoliating my lower leg & feet & every toe.( it tickles though) there is a very nice euchalyptic aroma too! Then she really massaged my legs all the way up to my knees.... So nice. I told her I wish she could do my neck & shoulders! Now she is rubbing my legs with HOT rocks!! Woo woo , now hot towels wrapped around my calves....Aaahhh The massage chair is nice & relaxing. There is a nice instrumental music playing softly.( WHY am I not just relaxing... & write this later??) LoL. I am such a Multi tasker! Everything appears to be clean. all the workers are from one family. They are all 8 - working with a client. I had a French manicure with gel acrylic and was in & out in 70 minutes! Ashley does my full-set and she's amazing. Very precise with her shaping. I allow anyone to do my pedicure at this salon and I have been pleased every time. The wait time for pedicures isn't long at all and for nails, well it's not bad for a walk-in salon. I love how they are open everyday! I am a mom and work full-time and my nails can be on for 3 weeks before ONE starts to lift. Can't complain. read more

I can only speak on the pedicures. I've never had a bad experience here. I take whoever is available when I walk through the door and they always treat me well. I've never felt like I've been a rush job no matter how busy they are and their foot and leg massages are awesome. They're also one of the few nail salons that are open on Sunday. read more

Recently was looking for a new nail place was recommended to go try DQ nails Taylor on telegraph.. Let me tell you the best pedicure I've ever had ( They give a hot stone massage) !!! Been going there for several months every month get a pedicure and just a manicure. Was going to get maternity pictures done and wanted a full set done 1st time getting this done their. Went there on a Friday at 5:50 they close at 7. I was rushed out of there they did my nails why I was getting my pedicure being very far along in my pregnancy this was very uncomfortable trying to get my hand to the other side to her as there was people next to me getting pedicures as well. My nails were done very poorly but besides that my finger began to swell up with excruciating pain and pressure.. I went back there to show them and have them remove the nails. I have never had a hand infection in my nail before and to have them take off the nails. They said is was not and infection and I must have bumped my nail...lol ... Not at all a few days later I ended up in the urgent care my finger was so full of infection had to take get antibiotic and a cream. And that's exactly what it was from them them not using clean instruments... Let me tell you the great pedicure they they do was not worth having an infection. Time for a new place just wanted to make everybody else aware and hope nobody else goes through this!!!! read more

Disorganized hot mess! Unfriendly people that have no idea who is there for what. No check in process at all so someone can walk in and be taken before someone who has waited an hour! (Literally almost happened 3 times while we were there, people had to keep saying they were there WAY before the person they were trying to take next). If they tell you the wait is 20 minutes be prepared to wait an hour, if the stench doesn't kill you in the mean time. If the wait is going to be an hour, tell me an hour.
