I had my hair done here for my wedding and could not have been happier. Everyone knows wedding hair styling can be expensive and that is true here, but this is a place where you really get the professional technique and quality that you pay for. Kari took care of me for my trials and on my wedding day and I think it was Ashley that did my airbrush makeup... All of my bridesmaids, flowergirls, and both of the Mothers got their hair and makeup done here. We really took over the whole salon for about 3 hours that morning so I'm pretty sure all of their stylists did something on at least one of my girls. Everyone got out of their chairs looking stunning! I've been following my stylist for several years now, and we been the LOVE this salon. Located very conveniently on a corner of Allen Rd with lots at of street parking, and extra parking in the back. The space has lots of natural light, but is still very luxurious feeling. Great paint colors, Station organization, and decorative details really let you know from the minute you walk in that this is a cool, trendy, up scale place. I like be the products they use. Their color is "All-Nutrient" and is actually good for your hair. My hair is super healthy now despite frequent colorings. They also have a wider variety of color options than many other salons. The stylists here are all on trend and super friendly. Nothing is impossible, and they're willing to work together to give you the look you want. There doesn't seem to be any cattiness or drama between the stylists either. Everyone is friendly with each other and the customers. Great environment. My stylists is Lyndsay and I cannot say enough awesome things about her. She does my whole family's hair, and always does an awesome job! I've had a pixie cut, various colors, different layers, and she's always done a great job. Yes, you'll pay a little more here than some salons, but in my opinion, it's worth the money for the awesome products, the great environment, and the surefire awesome results. read more

Moved into the area and needed a place to get my haircut. Looked up various salons near me and found this one on Yelp that had 4.5 stars... so because of this, I booked an appointment. 40 minutes and $25 later (including tip because that's what you do even if it wasn't that great)... I walked out extremely disappointed at the lady who cut my hair. I asked for a disconnected undercut with sides that fade from a 1 to a 1 and a half. She didn't do anything of the sort and cut it to be more of a man-bun then had the audacity to at the end say, "Do you want a man-bun?" I wanted to literally look at her and say, "Who gave you your license!?" Luckily hair grows back but a reputation of a place from one person's literal mess up is hard to want to spend the money there and with the stylist that I sat with... Sorry to say, I probably won't be going back. The place itself was decent and the staff was fairly nice but the experience... not to much. read more

I was going to Alicia for gel manicures regularly and always loved her work. Sad that I moved away! There are SO many colors to choose from (and lots of glitters, which I love) and she was always so patient with me as I picked out what I wanted. Accent nails, extra top coats, acrylic hybrid - she always took her time to make sure my nails looked great (and was also careful when removing my old polish and filing, since my nails are pretty weak). I'm not a fan of the Asian run nail salons because you just feel rushed and I hate when there are communication issues and/or they do what THEY want instead of what you ask for. I always walked out of my appointments with Alicia happy with my nails. I'll be back if I'm ever in the area again! :) read more

I am new to the area and really needed a haircut. After reading mostly positive reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I scheduled an appointment and they set me up with Kari. Right away I felt comfortable. She took me back to her chair and I told her what I had hoped to do with my hair and showed her some pictures. She then took me to get my hair shampooed. It was amazing. Afterwards she asked if I wanted anything to drink, including a beer or a glass of wine-what?! How cool! I asked for a glass of wine and she grabbed it for me. We talked the entire time (which is unusual for me) and I was relaxed and comfortable in the salon. Everyone seems to know everyone else which I took to be a good sign because customers kept coming back! About and hour and a half later, my haircut was done. We cut off about 6 inches and she gave me exactly what I had asked for! It is amazing! The haircut and shampoo for me was only $35 which was a really good price. I've been back to Ashley 3 times now and I love her more and more every time I go. She is so so quick, does exactly what I ask for, and my hair has never been in better shape. Also, to update my last review, the assistant's name was Tiffany and after asking the front desk, I was told that the stylists cash out the assistants at the end of the day out of their tips. So, keep that in mind when tipping whatever stylist you pick. Don't tip 10% when 2 people are splitting it. Don't tip 10% ever for any service involving something so crucial. I mean, isn't it? I thought this was an ok place. The person who did my hair did a fair job. I'm not happy with it, but perhaps I didn't explain myself well enough. I went in with dark brown hair wanting some color and highlights and I now have a bunch of near white blonde pieces. I'm buying a box dye soon! The salon wasn't very tidy and the staff wasn't very trendy, but everyone was very nice. It is higher end prices for a lower end salon, imo. I have found my new favorite place to get a shellac manicure! Carrie does a really great job, the mani lasts a lot longer than 2 weeks before any chipping even starts, it's about as inexpensive as the other places I've gone to (see my previous reviews on a Nail place I go to), and I get to have a drink while I'm there. My mother in law and I came here for pedicures because it is right next to my house. Our techs were about 15 minutes late taking us back which wasn't that big of a deal until I was told that my tech wouldn't do gel because she didn't have time which was very inconvenient. I never get anything but gel, but I desperately needed my toes done and we were already there so we stayed. The pedi was rushed but mine still looked good. My mother in laws on the other hand was terrible. From the nail shape to the polish it looked very sloppy. She said something to the woman running the front about hi bad it looked and her response was, "Sorry you feel that way I'll let them know." I thought that this was pretty lackluster customer service. The pedicures ended up costing $40 a piece which was ridiculous, usually my gel pedicures at other nails salons run around $35-$40. Anyway, it wasn't the worst experience but we will definitely not be back and I don't recommend this place! read more

I went in on Saturday to get my hair and make up done for my wedding shower. I have been looking for the place that will gain my business,and I loved every bit of my experience with this salon. I was immediately greeted asking if I would like something to drink.After waiting less than 5 mins Kristen came to get me to do my hair. She took the time to really understand my personality and what I was looking for(even though I was that indecisive person unsure about what I actually wanted). My make up was done by Bre and she was amazing. I have very sensitive eyes and even though putting on my fake eye lashes and make up was a bit challenging since my eyes water alot, she was patient and was super polite. The entire experience was great and I felt even better walking into my shower knowing I looked good. I got compliments from everyone about my hair and make up, and I owe it all to this salon. Let me preface this review by saying I've lived in the area for 5 years and am bummed that I didn't discover this place sooner!!! In need of a mani and pedi (and not wanting to drive 40 minutes to my usual salon) I called a local "popular" salon in town. They did not take walk-ins so I tried my luck with Salon Volume. She shared although they accept walk-ins, I may be waiting awhile for the services I am looking for. She offered an appointment in the next few hours- works for me! Anastasia gave me a shellac mani and took the time to help me find the right neutral nail polish color. She was friendly and great to chat with. Afterwards, I received my pedi from Jessica, which was amazing. She took the time to ensure thick coverage and left my feet feeling so smooth! They also mentioned that they do not offer shellac pedicures because their regular service usually leaves pedis lasting just as long! (I will have to follow up on this in a few weeks- I hope it holds true!) Excited about this new place and looking forward to future visits. They are welcoming, attentive and friendly. Changing salons makes me really nervous but after a recommendation from a family member I decided to give it a try. The salon is really nice and the staff are very friendly. I had my eyebrows waxed recently at this salon and developed folliculitis. I had to get a $400 (only 50% was covered by insurance, $200 out of pocket) cream to help resolve the infection. When I went into the Salon to notify them of what had happened the receptionist appeared annoyed as if I was wasting her time. I tried multiple times to contact the manager and they were unable tell me when she would be in the salon. read more

I got a gel manicure from Alicia almost three weeks ago, and its still going with no chips! Me and my bf also got pedicures. The salon was very nice and just the experience we were looking for. I am surprised the mani has lasted this long as I work part time in a bike shop and my nails are always getting thrashed.
