The owner, Manal, was very kind. She washed my hair throughly with shampoo and conditioner, removed any damaged hair pieces, and recommended a short bob cut to provide the look of volume to my hair. I am so happy with the results. The price was also affordable, and the salon, itself, is clean. I will be coming back for another haircut. Thank you so much, Manal.

Upon arrival, I was told my hair type was not really suitable for what I wanted and next time I needed to come in with my hair blow dried if I wanted anything done. She then did an up-do she thought was suitable. It was extremely messy, and I was a kid at the time and extremely discouraged that I didn't have the "right hair". It has been many years since this experience, and I hope this salon has kinder, more welcoming staff now. I unfortunately never recommend this salon anymore.

Hijab haircut? Bad cut uneven layers…read moreThere's nothing to stop a man from walking in and seeing your hair get cut. The hair cutting chairs are seated so when the door opens a man walking by could see your hair. Yes there are darkened windows so no one can see inside unless the door is opened. I travelled out of town for a woman only hair cut I expected a closed off area or barrier or curtain blocking women's hair from sight to anyone who walks in. It just says salon so if a someone who doesn't wear hijab brings a male with her he would walk in and see your hair. Made me uncomfortable. Other then that my actual hair cut was mediocre and over priced. A trim and blow dry for 45 dollars (not even washed i came with my hair washed) Not a well done cut, and she didn't even ask if I wanted my hair straightened.

I walked in on a Saturday morning pretty much begging them to take me in because my best friend was getting married that day and I missed my appointments because I worked a 14 hour shift the day before. I was exhausted that day. With no hesitation the ladies at the front were so professional and did everything they could just to make sure i wouldn't disappoint my friend. Right away they got me in to start my make up with Mariana. The Make up artist her self was an absolute sweetheart and made me feel so comfortable. Right when I was done they put me on chair and prepped me for a hair updo style. Farah did my updo and she was just amazing herself. The amount of compliments I received that day and my hair and make up I've never received before. Thank you so much guys for such an amazing experience. Honestly.

Sure enough, I get there and am told tape ins are the only choice. I ended up having to buy them there because my hair needed to be done that day for an event. Ooookay, I was going to be spending some $ that day, anyway, so let's move on, not the end of the world. The man who put the tape ins in said literally less than ten words the entire time. I had an appointment with him 2-3 weeks later because a couple of wefts came loose, which was frustrating, and he again didn't speak. I'm almost positive it wasn't a language barrier issue because there were no attempts to be friendly even with body language? And I understand if you don't want to chat the entire time or are introverted, but damn...I really got nothin' When my extensions were finally done, and I will say they were pretty good except for the piece or two that fell out, there was no explanation of how to manage them. The worst part, though, was that he wouldn't cut them because he said they were too pretty. I mostly wanted the extensions for volume, not length.

My mom got her hair cut and colored and she couldn't stop talking about how much she LOVED her cut -- she even said she hasn't been this happy with a hair cut in over 10 years. Sue had some of the girls come in for our appt at 6am (had to get glammed up for a wedding), and they did a phenomenal job!!! Not to mention, they brought breakfast and made coffee for everyone there... This salon and these ladies ROCK!!!! If you live in MI, and have gone anywhere else but here, you're insane.
