Tacos were huge! Plus full of refried beans at the base of the taco.
Joe F.

First time visiting in 16 years. Plenty of competition around and a backwards drive through (everything in and out the passenger door). Staff was friendly. You do have to drive up to the window to order as there is no drive through box. It is a bit on the slower side but worth it, food was tasty. The tacos were ginormous! Fully loaded it comes with refried beans at the bottom. Love the large fresh tomato in it and it was a very filling option. I also picked up some bean and cheese burritos. Again the portions were very much on the large side. After waiting so long I'll be back soon

Taco de Chicharron. Look at the chicharron tho....

Was referred here by a local Golf bro we got paired up with while playing Fullerton Golf course. He swore their tacos de Chicharron were legit. Man it was totally worth the stop. I got a Taco de Chicharron so yummy. Also had a Torta de Carnitas, gotta say ill def be back for those 2 things. They use a different type of bread for their Tortas. Its smaller, softer and makes a difference. So good. Place is small, looks like its been in the community fir a while, we just found it by coincidence but so glad we did.

Great Service and Food. Did a order of 3 Lbs of pork carnitas, large rice and beans and pico de gallo salsa. Have eaten on site before and. Every time I order something different. Always good. They have five booths that can seat four people each. Two indoor tables for two people each and a outdoor round picnic table that seats eight people. Come early on Saturday or Sunday as the carnitas run out. This is. The current menus as of 4/1/2025. Please call to find out current pricing.

Hard shell carnitas tacos & chicken flautas (taquitos)
Sydney H.

Whenever we can't decide on dinner, Q Tortas is one of our go-to's because it just hits the spot every time. Their chicken flautas (basically taquitos) are amazing and come topped with crema, green sauce and shredded lettuce. Another favorite is their hard shell carnitas tacos which comes filled with refried beans on the bottom, meat, lettuce, sharp cheddar cheese & sour cream. If you're in the mood to split a meal, go for the carnitas nachos...you will not be disappointed!

Carnitas, chips and beans

Authentic and iconic! If you want a real taste of Mexican food and a small location to eat and enjoy, then you found it. My wife grew up eating here and even after 13 years away it is still excellent! The carnitas tacos with pico is the way to go. Get chips and the red salsa but be ready for a bit of heat and a drippy nose! The beans are also very good. You can't go wrong so order up!

We parked across the street near an intersection with a stop sign. Our table inside had a nice view of the Placentia Water Tower, and it felt somehow relaxing to gaze at it in the distance. I ordered the pork carnitas ($18), which included pico de gallo, rice, refried beans with melted cheese, and three warm tortillas. The portion size was large, and I took a some carnitas home. While the carnitas were tender, they weren't as juicy as I hoped. They provided only three tortillas that lost their warmth quickly in parchment paper. The rice had a good texture that had the right amount of firmness. I also tried the guacamole, which had a somewhat fluffy texture with a pleasantly light and savory flavor. While not affecting my review of this restaurant, I wish they served a mole dish.

The bartender seemed far more interested in talking to people at the bar than helping us. At least there was TVs to watch waiting for some service which was nonexistent here. We were about to move to the dining area when the bartender finally came over to take our order. I asked for no onions and ordered a Bloody Mary. The food came out with onions, and the Bloody Mary never showed up at all. Kind of wondered why we even had to order and just let them bring out what they think you want or don't want. We also received some guacamole which we never ordered. WTF???!!!??? couldn't even get our order right. We were just forgotten as the bartender never came around to check anything. She just stayed at the bar area talking to a few people that she knew. If you're not going to provide service than way go to work???? This place is terribly managed, and honestly, it's not surprising that most of the other locations have closed. If you want any kind of service, don't sit in the bar area. The food itself was decent, but it doesn't matter much when they can't follow simple requests--or just don't care. This was my last visit. Good luck.

Luckily, that finally changed and we caught them open! This is a true family-run business, and if you haven't tried it yet, you should. We ordered a 2-item combo with a cheese enchilada, shredded beef taco, rice, and beans, and it was amazing. We also got the chicken à la diabla, and I can honestly say I've never had an à la diabla sauce that good at a restaurant. Everything tasted homemade and so comforting that it felt like leaving a friend's house after a meal his mom made. The vibe was fun, the service was great, and we were lucky enough to have the son taking care of us, which made the experience even better. Thank you for an amazing meal and great conversation. The outside of the building is under construction (January 2026). The inside of the restaurant isn't fancy but very welcoming and lots of seating for its size. We didn't go to the back, but our waitress said there is an outdoor patio. The food was delicious and exactly what we were hoping for when searching for authentic Mexican food. Salsa was flavorful, chips fresh and crunchy, chori-queso was the MVP of our meal. We also order a build your own burrito and 2 crunchy tacos. The menu has a good amount of options and next time we will try the loaded churros! This places offers take-out and catering. The prices were very reasonable.
