I'd tried every product under the sun to no avail. I booked an appointment with Susan for a blowout, and she was nice and personable. She knew right away that I probably wouldn't be changing salons, as I love my current stylist. This, however, did not deter her from treating me as she would any of her other clients. If I didn't already have a stylist that I love, I wouldn't hesitate to let her cut and color my hair. She even complimented my cut and color. I did a groupon at another salon later, and that was certainly NOT the case there (review of THAT place to come later). I left with smooth, frizz-free hair that lasted for over 3 months. I'm hooked! They now offer this treatment for 150. Most places charge 250-300 bucks before tip. I WILL be returning for this treatment on a regular basis. Just a note on parking: they have a very small lot and it seems that broad ripple vintage doesn't like their customers parking in their lot. If you can't get a spot on their side of the building, I'd recommend parking on the street.

It takes anywhere from 3 to 6 months or longer to grow back. I came here for the first time get a trim. Per the hairdressers encouragement, I tried a new style to create " movement" in my hair. As I watched her cut my hair, however, I saw that the technique she used to do this was the same one used to thin thick hair. My hair is very fine, and this style does not look good on me. If I knew she was going to do this I wouldn't have gotten it (partially my fault for not clarifying on the technique). The end look was somewhat scraggly and thin. She ended up taking off 3 inches though I only wanted 1. Trying to be objective, the salon itself probably has some great stylists. My experience with Suzannah was not a great one. Establishment was friendly and clean. All the hairdressers seemed to know their clients very well and the client base seems quite loyal.

There are only 2 stylists here which makes for a calm, enjoyable and very personal experience. I get my hair cut like clockwork every 4 weeks, appointments are easy to schedule online. If you are not techy you can schedule ahead of time after every appointment. The products they sell are amazing and reasonably priced. If you want a complimentary glass of wine, cup of tea or French press coffee it will always be offered. The salon esthetic is inviting. Lofty ceilings with an industrial modern feel. There are eclectic touches of old and new all softened with the use of plants and tons of natural light. I find myself looking forward to my appointments for the obvious reasons but also to spend time in Melissa's chair. Over the years I can say that she has become a great friend. I look forward to our talks about literally everything under the sun and it is also a plus that she gives one heck of a scalp massage during a hair wash. I couldn't see what she was doing but she was cutting WAY shorter than we had talked about. It's above my collarbone before even getting dried. I have had my fair share of bad haircuts, but this is by far the worst. As it dries, it looks like a triangle or something from the 70s. It seems the woman was confused in what I asked for, but I wish she either communicated that she wasn't comfortable cutting my hair or asked for clarification. She also decided to turn a large portion of my hair into what I would describe as "curtain bangs". Interesting choice, especially on my curly hair. I did not want a blowout, just asked for a brief diffuse with the blow dryers. She acted like she didn't know what she was doing with the diffuser. I was charged $100 before tip. The pricing is not transparent or clear at all. Stylist was very nice but even with good vibes, you have to listen to customers.
