This is my second time coming, first time the gentleman cut my cuticles so much I was bleeding and next day my toe was swollen. I didn't go back for almost 4 months and decided to give them another try. The owner or who ever was in charge was dismissive and rude. He had his feet on the counter as well.. like dude I am about to pay and you have your foot up here like you are at your house.. at least do that in the back... the lady that did my nails was kind but I can tell she was new too.. won't be back and highly DO NOT recommend! I should've checked Yelp reviews instead of Google's. Do NOT go for waxing. I got my underarms waxed and not all hairs were removed. Before starting, I asked her if the hair was long enough, and she said yes. The lady took a very long time and was plucking with a tweezer at the end. I asked her if everything was ok and she said yes, getting the little hairs. She plucked for a very long time... But when I looked at the end, there was still hair. Front desk was helpful but manager had an attitude. Price was reduced but not happy with my service at all. I don't get underarms waxed (3rd time ever) but excited to do so for a trip. Now they are stinging and I can't even shave the hairs or get them waxed again bc of that. My underarms are irritated and I think the unnecessary plucking is creating these bumps and scar. The manager tried to say it's because I shave, but the last two times I got them done somewhere else, they were incredibly smooth. Cons: there is no price list. every time I come I pay a higher price than my last visit. I remember telling my nail tech what I wanted & asking how much it would be. She replied that she would have to take a picture to send to the manager and ask. Which prompts me to believe that there are clearly no set prices! The quality of product. My nails started lifting VERY early. On my third fill I was told I would need a full set. This is completely unacceptable when I paid 100 for a full in & 2 designs per hand. Extremely crowded & they move slow. If you don't go before 2, just go another day. You will be in there for hours. There are plenty of salons that will give you better customer service, lower prices & complimentary wine in the area. I suggest you find one like I did. read more

I came in today for a full set with nail designs. When I arrived, I showed the nail tech what I wanted and asked how much it would cost. She asked the manager and he said it would be $110 for all of the designs with the full set. As I proceeded to get my nails done, I started, noticing that the nails were extremely leaning to the side, which I kept mentioning to the Nail Tech, who completely ignored me. Already, knowing how it was going to turn out, I told her to not worry about the nail designs and just give me top coat. I was so unhappy and I asked how much it would be so that I could just pay and go and they proceeded to charge me $70 for extremely short nails that are not the same length and that are extremely leaning to the side. She recommended booking with Robert and safe to say I have a new gel mani tech! LOVE HIM! Great energy, very delivery, and awesome conversation. He made sure I was happy at each step, during the mani and the pedi. Kat then came over while I was getting my pedicure to design my nails. She killed it! Don't have much time to do a full on rant but this is what I asked for versus what I got the nails are super bumpy and they told me that this was the same color as the picture but the picture is just filtered.. they also told me the nails are bumpy because of the layering of paint.. I asked them if there was any way we could smooth it out maybe at more brown and black to cover up some more of the orange they told me no that they couldn't.. now I have to go pay another nail tech to fix this so I don't go to my daughters christening with Halloween nails‍... not to mention I was charge $95 for the set and the price was just pulled out of the air by a man looking at my nails and telling the front desk person a price... this salon has really gone downhill it used to be my go to place but not anymore. read more

I had been a faithful client of Qs nails for about a year. My technician was Kenia. We had no issues until recently. She was out because her son was sick. That's understandable but no one was willing to repair my nail that was lifting after 24 hrs. They wanted me to wait until tech was available or come back later but would not give me a time to come Back. I called Q the owner. No resolution from him. He didn't even offer to make the repair as the owner. They don't care about the customers only the money. When I first came Kenia was nice, personable and humble. I have sent her a lot of business but they do not care. You would think she would've followed up at some point. No response from her to this day. Her work initially was good but the last three times there's been Issues with lifting and chipping. There's no price list. They look at your nails and give you a price. You can get a similar style and it will have two different prices. The philosophy is there a nail shop on every corner. ( literally the words of the girl with the tattoos at the front desk) so I'll take my money and spend it somewhere where they actually appreciate your business. Theres always someone fussing about the prices and the lack of transparency of the prices. Their resolution call the police if they don't want to pay. Why not just list the price like any normal business? The shop is filled has arrogant, inconsiderate technicians. Don't waste your money here. They don't appreciate your business. read more

The 2 stars are for the nail techs as I haven't had an issue with any of them. It's a shame that all of the nail artists are great, but front desk staff is RUDE disrespectful, and does not care about client retention. After waiting about 20-30 minutes for a full set, I asked the person at the front desk if they knew how much longer it would be, or if there were a better time to come back. I walked in, I expected a wait but had things to do. She said she's waiting for nail techs to come in, but doesn't know when they're coming (do the techs not have schedules?) I asked her if she could suggest a better time or day to come back and she non-chalantly said she didn't know, "idk what to tell you" so I asked her what do you suggest, I just never come back? She replied " I mean idk, I don't know what to tell you" in a dismissive tone as if I were annoying her by my questions. To which I said fine, I'll never come back. Even thought I fully intended to come back at a less busy time or another day or would have made an appointment if necessary, but none of those options were offered. She was rude and dismissive. First, I come here and EVERY time I do the price is different. I payed 75 for a NEW French set last time and today it was 72 for a FILL. They just look at shit and tell you a random ass price. I've been coming here to get my nails done and technicians have done a decent job. However, the last time I was here, one of the older women who doesn't speak English did my toes. The nail polish color didn't look the same on my toes as it did on the sample nail and I asked her to change it. She also left me with a broken toe nail which I asked her to fix. Apparently, that request has now gotten me banned from the shop, even though SHE was the one rolling her eyes with each request. I went in last week (paid for an uber from DC to get there) and they refused to serve me labeling me as "difficult" (yes, perpetuation of the angry Black woman stereotype even in the nail shop). Apparently, they spread a rumor around the shop because the front desk "couldn't find anyone willing" to do my nails. They treated me as if I had caused a scene or cursed someone out the last time I had come there (which couldn't be further from the truth. I'm a professional who knows how to give critical feedback without an attitude). I didn't think that customer discrimination could come as a result of asking for what you want, but apparently it can. How did this cost $121???????????? I feel bamboozled because they did not tell me the price til after and they did NOT care to explain the breakdown of the price. The only thing that happened is a man looked at my nails and came up with some arbitrary number without any explanation. To make matters worse, they charged an additional $10 for a "take off" which involves my tech popping off my previous acrylics with another nail tip. I'm currently in this salon and have been here for over 1 hour for a gel fill. Now, when I walked in they told me there was an hour wait but the issue that I have with this spot is that I called earlier in the week to schedule an appointment and they told me they only do walk ins on the weekends. I work an in office job that is 1 hour away from here and cannot make it to Q Nails before they close on weekdays which is why I need to make an appointment. As I am sitting here, there's been 3 clients that scheduled an appointment... after they told me twice that they don't offer walk ins. I myself am a service provider. Don't cheat customers. Tell them the truth. I won't be coming back bc the wait is crazy. You're waiting when people booked appointments and they say they take walk ins only. For the sake of my nails and my wait I'll get my fill but I won't be coming back. They do decent nails. One of mine popped off in a 2 week wearing period so it's not all that but they're adorable. Started going here after my original Nail tech referred me to her daughter Titi while she was out the country. Really was pleased with her work and tried to continue to go. Once she came back I noticed that TiTi was acting weird and not trying to service me. made an appointment by phone got serviced everything was good or so I thought. tried to make another appointment for the new year and no response. Called the salon and unbeknownst to me my number was blocked from the shop. lmao. never in my life have I experienced this when trying to spend my money. This review is from early summer and thought I posted it. I've still never heard from the owner at all...lol I've been to this salon a few times for a gel manicure. When I arrived this time a lady walked up and was looking at my nails as if they were fake. I told her these are my nails. Unfortunately, she was the next available tech (MiMi). She wasn't pleasant and stayed on her phone the entire time. She overly filed my nails but because I had another appointment, I didn't thoroughly inspect my nails before I left. The next day the gel polish was cracking on the side. I sent a response to the owner indicating I would come to the shop. (Never received a response) but went to the shop the following day and asked for a manager and one was not available but an older lady and she asked who did my nails and I let her know. MiMi was sitting there like a deer in head lights. She was working on someone else but at no time did she get up and come to the desk. I waited awhile but couldn't wait and needed to be at work. There was no one else who seemed willing to help. I was unable to make it back and now it's Sunday six days after getting my gel nail manicure and the gel is chipping badly. Gel normally lasts me two weeks. I sent the owner two responses and have heard nothing. I don't even know why they send you a link asking for feedback regarding services and they don't respond back. I literally can walk to this shop but will not be back as they are unresponsive in handling poor service. read more

The level of unprofessional and flat out rude service that I receive at this salon was appalling. 1. When I walked in I wasn't greeted and the 3 employees working at the reception area were too busy talking to each other and literally flipping each other the middle finger to acknowledge me. 2. I asked the male tech that was soaking off my gel manicure if I could soak longer before he scrapped. He got very combative with me and told me he knew how to do his job. Walked in asked for a fill in with a broken nail. The receptionist woman was the only person who was customer service friendly. Sat down in the second row last chair on the right of the salon. Had a man approach me with a white stripe in his hair speaking to me weirdly about returning to the salon. I am a new customer this is my first time here mind you. The guy starts doing my nails while on Facetime the entire time. No customer service, no conversation. I asked for a cut down in the beginning. Guy with the white stripe said its $5 extra. I said it was fine. The guy doing my nails asked me again if I wanted cut down. He was on FaceTime so of course he wasn't paying attention to anything I was saying. I had one broken nail. My tips were clear when I received my full set weeks ago. I wanted the broken nail to match the rest of my set and just asked for a clear tip instead of the regular muggy white tips. He goes back and forth with his co worker , she translates to him what I'm asking & then proceeds to try & get me to get the regular muggy white tip because regardless it wouldn't show. That wasn't my point of getting a clear tip. I simply wanted everything to MATCH. He puts the clear tip ok in frustration, does my nails. I go to pay , the guy with the white stripe in his head tells the receptionist its $55. Thats a freaking full set price ! . Wanted to overcharge me for a FILL IN . Ridiculous. I am highly upset that the guy who did my nails who sit in the 2nd seat on the right wing when you walk in midnight did not inform me that a film would be a $100. I don't think that because my nails are long my fill in should be a $100 being as though he never even touched the tip of my fingernail with acrylic. I believe it is due to me not getting my nails painted how would he even have known that I had a $100 to pay for a fill in. I did not get my nails painted I just got a credit put on them he shaped them and I wash my hands. I loved my nails but my experience was horrible. I didn't feel comfortable. The salon smelled like pure cigarettes and weed. The nail techs are all very talented but very unprofessional. I felt like I was in high school all over again not enjoying my afternoon for some time alone. Not to mention the music and the videos it's like you're paying for them to pay a** shaking videos the whole time. The salon is very beautiful they have great products very clean. But wearing masks when they felt like it was an extreme turn off knowing were in a pandemic right now. I was disgusted two nail techs in were drinking before without a mask while customers were inside. First of all, I sent a dm to the Instagram and I got no reply so when I arrived the wait time was very long. I finally got sat, I wanted dip power, I asked for square but the shape looks like it's starting to make a U because of how much he filed it down. He filed off a lot of the dip on top of my nail and had to go in with a gel top. He was asking me if he should put more coats of gel, that's his job to know not mine. Then my mom wanted a design and a room full of "nail techs" and no one knew how to do it they had to put stickers. It was just a bad experience. I've been here about 3 times. Each time I go there's a crazy wait! So recently, I decided to make an appointment. Even with making an appointment I was there for about 35 minutes waiting to be seen. On top of that, when I called to make an appointment no one asked for my name or information and when I offered to give my information they said they had it.
