    Chipped paint, crooked, misshaped nails

    The quality of their work is horrible. I had my nails done there on Monday evening. My nail beds are still sore. The gel polish is chipping and the nails are not evenly painted. There is paint on my cuticles. All of my nails are misshaped and crooked. Just a mess.

    I am the type of person who believes in giving second chances and unfortunately this time around, it cost me. My experience at this shop was not a good one. I selected my tech because I previously had a great experience with her. This time was completely different. The work was rushed and extremely sloppy. I got gel polish on my toes and it was lumpy and a complete mess. I got a full set without gel polish, something I've done many times. I noticed the polish on one of my nails was peeling and pointed it out to the tech. She tried to brush past the mistake and quickly asked if I was paying with the same card on file. I had to mention the peeling nail to her again for her to "fix it." Without the gel, I know I have to dry my nails for a while. I dried my nails for 45+ minutes and as so I got out of the chair, every single nail messed up. I had somewhere else to go after the appointment so I used their chat feature to express my dissatisfaction further. I was able to get another appointment to fix my nails. The fix was done by a different tech and it is still sloppy. At this point, I'm over the entire experience. I wish I could get my money back to go somewhere else but I'll just take it as a lesson learned. Some places don't deserve second chances. They get one star for the ease of scheduling the appointment to fix my issues through chat. Actually, one of the things I did like about the shop is how easy it is to schedule and use their website. There are way too many other shops in the area to go to instead so I definitely won't return and I actually mean it this time.

    The technician was RUDE. She talked on the phone or watched tv the entire time. She used dirty implements on me and I got a nail fungus which I've never had because I take great care of myself. I do not recommend this place at all. It lacks customer service. The owner witnessed the nail tech talking on the phone and watching tv and when I addressed it at the end of my service she shrugged it off as something she's discussed before.

    Have been looking for a black owned business and found Lillian's via a Twitter search. As a millennial, I am most impressed with their social media presence and online booking system. I was able to view examples of their work, view prices, and schedule everything online. They sent me a confirmation text and email and I knew exactly what I would owe during my visit. It means a lot to know prices before hand when looking for a service. When I arrived I was greeted by a receptionist that confirmed my appointment. I scheduled a soak off and Bria did my nails. The technician was cautious during my take off and was able to save all off of my natural nails. Bria did a pink and white acrylic overlay on my natural nail. That was my first time getting colored acrylic and I'm very impressed. Bria slayed my shape and kept me laughing during my appointment. I've already booked my next appointment and plan to let Bria try some designs before my vacation.

    Made an appt for 10 am, arrived early to find that another 2 women were waiting to be seen (one as a walk in and another with an appt.) NONE of the technicians were here. If we as customers make an appointment and are on time, the staff should be here 15 min earlier than the opening time (10 am). The customers should not have to wait and IF we do then we should be notified. I waited for 15 minutes for somebody to show up, nobody ever did. It's highly unprofessional and management should work with their staff on it. Sad because the reviews were decent. Will not be returning. Update. After the store manager reached out in hopes to fix the issue. I stated that the pedicure was good, however she needed to fix the issue. Below is the response of her asking me to remove the review. I would like to add, the pedicures that customers pay for are meant to be relaxing, enjoyable and up to satisfaction for the customer. Do not ask for a review to be removed because the job was done

    I found Lilian's Nails from a referral on Nextdoor. I was excited to know this was a black owned business and wanted to support. I needed an emergency pedicure and couldn't make it to my regular nail salon (loyal customer since 2010) in Laurel. Nevertheless, I made an appointment for Saturday, October 5th at 10am. I booked my services with Tina. I arrived at the salon at 9:50 and the receptionist was friendly and said my tech was almost done. Tina sat me down at 10:20. Disappointment #1. I originally booked the Mint and CBD pedicure priced at 45.00 but changed it to the basic pedicure since she was 20 minutes behind schedule. Maybe that was my mistake because she rushed through the ENTIRE service. She spilled the blue dye (see pics) that goes in the water on my toes so she spent more time scrubbing it off than focusing on my actual service. The clippings, the scrubbing, the massaging all done at the speed of light. It's now 10:46am (yes I'm typing this as I sit in the chair) and she's already putting the clear top coat on. Let's not forget she accidentally spayed scolding hot water on my legs as she sprayed the scrub off. YIKES!! Oh and then she swung at a fly and knocked my polish off (see pics). A great first time experience right lol! Oh and the review about the nail tech being on her phone. Oh that is true. Not sure if it's the same woman (not Tina) but yes. She was on her phone yapping while doing someone's nails. As a first time customer it was disappointing as I really wanted to refer this location to my friends because we love a good black owned business ran by a woman. Hopefully the owner can improve and one day when the improvements are made I could possibly support.

    I've learned my lesson...I will make my appointments with Daisy before leaving the shop! I had to go somewhere else to get my nails done for an even because she was all booked up...the gel polish was peeling off the same day! Entire nails without polish by the time I got in to see Daisy. She hooked me up as usual and I'm pre-scheduled for 2 weeks lol. #everyoneaintable

    I came here once before, and for my second visit it was my birthday weekend. I was fortunate to book a walk in with the owner Lilian. She did my gel mani full set & polished them coffin shape. Bria did my design with my Husband name & swavorski crystals. I do highly recommend booking appointments prior because this shop stays booked

    I really, really tried to like this nail salon, but they just made it so difficult. I enjoy supporting Black-owned businesses because I think it's important and all, but lack of customer service trumps all of that. I'm new to the area and decided to try Lillian's a few weeks ago on a rainy Saturday. I'm not one of those high maintenance women who need a massage or wine; just need simple things like a variety of colors, good work, and a clean shop. When I arrived, the overall decor was decent, but I wasn't really impressed with the cleanliness of the shop. The floors were dirty as if they hadn't put a mop to it in a while, and there were nail clippings everywhere. I also noticed that everyone in the shop's skill level is different, so if you come for a specific service, it's best to stay with it. Otherwise, you may have to wait for whomever knows how to do what you're looking for. As far as my service, Laura did my spa pedicure and Lillian (owner) took care of my gel manicure --nothing fancy. Lillian was over thirty minutes behind our scheduled appointment, I took notice to it, but decided to let it go since the work was decent. Now, I feel like I might've found a shop, but wanted to give it another try to see if there were any changes. Jump to three weeks later (today)... I arrive at the shop for my appt for Laura and Lillian. I purposely show up 20 minutes late considering I had to wait during my first visit and Lillian was behind...again. The floors were in the same condition as before and folks were continuing to pile in. Similar to my first visit, I noticed how overworked Lillian is. She pretty much schedules all the appts and answers the phone, and greets everyone. So often times, she has to stop serving you to do something else and then forgets what you may have told her. I think she could really benefit with having a business manager to help with these tasks, honestly. Due to patrons piling up in the shop, she did a rush job of my gel mani (pictured, please zoom in). I literally took this photo in the parking lot after leaving her shop; no bueno. I still tipped 20% because that's just how I am, but unfortunately, I will not be returning.

    I just went to Lillian's nails for the 1st time yesterday & got a full coffin set done by Daisy. I'm very picky about my nails & Daisy did a great job. She listened to what I wanted & I love that the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be going back!

    Made a request with Daisy after seeing her work on Facebook. She was exactly what I was looking for! Her shaping and technique is amazing! I do always have to wait about 15 mins after my appointment time which is why i gave it 4 stars instead of 5, but I will continue to see Daisy when I'm home from school!

Also, if I recall correctly, Regina was running a bit behind on the day I went, so I recall having to sit in a small waiting area while waiting for my appointment to finally start. There was one other couple there, and they were watching some kind of raunchy video on speaker. So it was not a relaxing or edifying experience before the facial began. Thankfully, the energy was very different inside Regina's salon once my appointment actually got started. In sum, I only visited once. But I had a good experience overall.
