Uptown Cheapskate is this fully stocked, stuffed to the brim, place to grab your vintage clothing…read more This shop really has a lot of clothing! I mean, really a lot! They have tons of a little bit of everything. They have tons of women's clothing, tons of men's clothing, tons of T-shirts, and a whole lot of shoes. Really! A lot of shoes! The store is what I would say is a step above shopping at a thrift store. What they do here is, offer the best of the best of vintage clothing. So, when you go in here, you know you're going to find high-quality items. This is not to say that they're cheap. For some, their prices may be considered a little bit high. But, again, what you're getting is the best of the best of vintage clothing, and sometimes you have to pay for that privilege. Depending on what you're looking for, this store may very well have it. From my experience, this store is most commonly geared towards a younger audience. They have tons of T-shirts, jeans, and a lot of stuff that could be considered on the more casual side of the picture. For example, when I shop a vintage store, I'm commonly looking men's sport coats and suits, and stuff along that line. They really don't have a good selection of these items. This is just something to keep in mind if you're looking for that kind of thing. But, on the other hand, if you're looking for all of the more casual style of clothing, they have a lot of it. Located on Hawthorne Boulevard, this store is fairly easy to find. They have a parking lot in the front and the rear, which sometimes can become kind of full. So, you may have to park on the street. This is because of the fact this store is a very popular shop. A lot of people come here, particularly on the weekends. And, when they have their sales, forget about it. The store is packed. One way or the other, if you're looking for that vintage piece of clothing, that really cool something, that T-shirt that you've been looking for forever, that pair of really cool shoes, or whatever else, this may be your place to find it.

Staff were incredibly kind and were very welcome to conversation…read more I've been here about 3-4 times now and each time I find something new I want to blow my money on. Most of everything is quite affordable. There are pieces that do get a be more on the pricier side, but most of the time it is only shoes that are the expensive pieces. Also, the BIRTHDAY discount they have can be used INFINITELY throughout your birthday month??? Are we serious?

The good: I love curated thrift shops like this because the…read moreclothes are already preselected for you and you don't have to dig as deep as you would in places like Goodwill (though Goodwill prices are definitely cheaper). So, there are definitely trendier items here and clothes are organized based on different trends as well (Y2K, designer, vintage, etc). I like the openness and brightness of the store. It resembles its other location in LA. I like that the racks aren't overcrowded with too many items so you can actually slide the coat hangers and look at the items. I got 2 jackets and culotte pants from here. Each were $12.99. The store was very nicely organized and even had an armchair to lounge on. The shoes were in good condition. The bad: I saw several tops with holes, snags or frayed fabric. They don't have healthcare worker discounts like the thrift shop across the street has. The interesting: You can bring in 5 items at a time in the fitting room. One of the workers at the register was on her phone a lot but perhaps she was looking up values/prices of the clothes she was labeling? They do buy clothes here.

Nice spot to find some unique items in a more organized fashion than other secondhand shops…read more Coming to any secondhand shops like this is usually a treasure hunt, sometimes you leave with something good or something you weren't even looking for, but can also leave empty handed. Each 2nd Street is really dependent on the people that sells there so for this location, I usually come here for streetwear or some vintage/Y2K clothing from the bigger brands like Polo or Carhartt. There's a small selection of luxury items but it's nowhere close to their Costa Mesa location, but my friends have been able to find some Chrome Hearts for their collection. I've only sold some stuff here when they run bonuses but even then, don't expect a high price for items. 2nd Street tend to curate it a bit more and it really depends on the buyer they have that day. They are also seasonal so will not really buy shorts in the winter or jackets in the summer, unless that jacket is a piece that they move at any season. I brought a bunch of mall brand shirts, pants, hoodies and jackets, they ended up taking 40+ of my items and it just netted me around $60, with the highest being a skate brand jacket with many fetching only $1. It's just good to help clear closet and have a bit of pocket cash. For the truly unique items or streetwear pieces that I know will fetch a higher amount, I still sell elsewhere. There's also another second hand shop across the street but that place you really gotta dig, but they do offer slightly higher prices and accept many items that 2nd Street does not.

I can try on just about everything I want. The classics and the new trendy pieces, both. The associates here are also extremely helpful and patient. I needed to have my pants hemmed and had several other pieces I wanted to try on. They couldn't have been more gracious and lovely about it. I had enough on my one arm trying to pluck pieces to try out. One of the lovely ladies made sure my fitting room was started already well before my arm got tired. The checkout process was also very stress-free and nice, too. I got to interact with Juliann-- the lovely manager at this store location. She's such a hoot, and I loved sharing giggles with her. I'm looking forward to returning in the future to pick up my hemmed pants and to see what's new out there. Couldn't recommend this store location enough!

Pam was so sweet to help me even though I didn't have a slip for the return they did an even exchange and appreciated that cause usually they give you a hard time if you aren't in the system. Her customer service was great and she was so sweet and had me in and out in no time. They have so much here it's pretty neat but can get a bit overwhelming as well. I usually just buy their cool bags to be honest, the price of the stuff here is a bit much for me and I feel it's just a big hype but to each its own I've tried their leggings and don't really see the hype and didn't like the fit in the crotch area. Their sports bras are soft and all but my ideal small for them is like a size 8 and still fits pretty tight so the sizing throws me off per usual. They have nice jackets and other items for loungewear but again the price doesn't justify for me In my opinion. One thing I did notice an I felt pretty bad for the staff here is their AC didn't work and the store was very HOT and musty I would hate to work in a place like that and hopefully they can fix that for them so they can work more comfy. Most of the staff were wearing short sleeved shirts but still it was a hot day outside and it was pretty toasty in there. My overall experience was great and happy with my new Hunter green cross bag.

1 Star Review Date of Visit: October 23, 2025…read moreLocation: Zara Kids - Del Amo Fashion Center Manager on Duty: Geisy General Manager: Bora I am absolutely appalled and heartbroken by the treatment I received at this Zara Kids location today. I've been one of Zara's most loyal customers, spending nearly $20,000 this year alone between Zara and Zara Kids for my family. Yet today, I was treated like my business meant nothing. I came in simply to exchange (not return) a pair of sweatpants for my daughter -- one of several items totaling over $500 from my recent purchase. When I brought them in, I was told the item couldn't be exchanged because a small inner tag was cut. I hadn't noticed this when I purchased it, and it certainly wasn't something I did myself. Despite calmly explaining this to the store manager, Geisy, she refused to help. To make matters worse, when I asked to speak with the General Manager, Bora, I was told she wouldn't even come out to speak with me. Let that sink in -- after years of loyalty and thousands of dollars spent, Zara was willing to lose a long-term, high-value customer over a $25 pair of sweatpants. No empathy. No accountability. No effort to make it right. I left the store completely disheartened. I've always loved Zara's products, but after this experience, I can no longer support a company that refuses to value its customers -- especially those who have invested so much in their brand. Zara, you've lost me as a customer for good. I will be sharing this experience so others know how little this store values loyalty and fairness.
