It is disheartening to see so many negative reviews. I truly love Q Nails, and Ly and Jason do a fantastic job, especially considering they are the only two people working there. Jason has always done my nails, while Ly has always painted them. My Cardiac Alert Service Dog accompanies me, and they have always welcomed us warmly. Ly even makes me a coffee while I get my nails done, which is such a kind gesture. Although they do not speak English fluently, we always find ways to communicate. I exclusively go to Q Nails and have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Ly and Jason and will continue to get my nails done here! I attached some photos below of my nails! read more

I wish I would have read the other reviews before going here for a manicure and pedicure. The water was cold, but the worse part was the roughness of the pedicure. I had to ask her twice to be gentle because my skin was literally sore. Everything is sloppy and even or sore. One of worse experiences I have had. read more

If I could rate this a zero, I would. I waited for 30 minutes and the nail tech starts SANDING my cuticles. I tolerated 3 nails to be done, and then the pain set in. I advised him that normally the nail tech will soak my hands, push the cuticles down gently, and cut them. He said oh no the sanding is better. I said it is hurting me and left. Now my finger is bleeding!!! Never go here! NEVER!!! read more

Well I've been 125000 Mi over the last 2 years in every state except Alaska and Hawaii twice, I normally get my nails done every 2 to 3 weeks since I am handicapped and only have one arm that work and cutting your nails one handed is a little rough. Maybe I just caught them on a good day or maybe a lot of people have higher expectations than I. For a man this place does the best job I have ever had done in the the price range they charge. Worst pedicure of my life. She didn't even ask me what pedicure I wanted or actually anything. She didn't cut my nails down, only filed them. Didn't cut the dead skin off or my cuticles. I have to say I'm shocked at all the negative reviews on this nail salon. Over the years I've been to most all the nail salons in the area and I've never experienced any of the things you people are saying about Qnails of Johnson City! There are shops that do more artwork, shops that offer 10 different kinds of pedicures (C'mon people... do we really need 10 different names for having our feet/legs scrubbed, massaged, heat wrapped, and polished??), and shops that claim they're the cheapest, fastest, etc. For me durability is more important than all the other thrills and frills. My job requires me to have my hands in and out of water all day long and gloves are not an option. I have NEVER had a set of nails lift or start to come loose even going 3 weeks between appointments from Johnson City Qnails. But not so wth any other area shop. I've had nails that literally fell off within 2 days of having them done. So keep up the good work JC Qnails and don't sweat people who can't be satisfied no matter what!! read more

The woman in here gives a very rough pedicure and was repeatedly rude to me. While getting my previous gel nails off, the only thing I asked was that they be allowed to soak off and not use the drill down to my natural nails. She got very frustrated and said three times, "Let me do!" I have very thin nails and this was my only request. She was extremely rude. Was not worth the price at all. For my daughter and me to have full sets of acrylic nails done was $105. Had no idea what the high cost was for. There was no price list anywhere and it was a really poor job. My nails came loose and fell off within a week to a week and a half. They rushed us thru and were very rough. I'm fingers we're so sore the next day. They charged $50 for daughters and $55 for mine. Asked why difference in price and would explain. Will not return to them. I don't usually leave reviews, but I went here at 3 pm one day and the lady was removing my nails, well I realized that it hurt so bad I couldn't tolerate it so I told her and she just kept removing them with an acrylic nail. Well, when she got it off she had completely ripped my nail in half all the way down to the cuticle. It was bleeding badly. She saw it and didn't say anything but wiped the blood off with her finger and proceeded to put an acrylic nail on and GLUED over it. You could see the blood through the nail. When I got them removed at a different salon it was still bleeding. It has been months now and my nail still hasn't healed. It is still split in half. She did amazing on my marble nail but I couldn't do anything without my finger being in extreme pain for DAYS. I would just stand there and it would hurt and I could feel it throbbing. Just be careful when you get them removed and if it hurts so not be afraid to tell them! read more

Staff was super nice and friendly! I had to wait a little while but they acknowledged my wait and apologized they did a fantastic job on my nails and during the process I got a little choked up from the fumes and I think the lady in there working caught on and promptly came to me with a bottle of water. Legs are burnt from towel, very rough with cuticle tool, never asked what kind of pedicure, the wife's toe nails on each foot are now of different length and shape. Painted over wife's cuticles. I never leave reviews, but a warning: I came in at 6:30 and stood in front of the lady at the front desk for a good uncomfortable minute before I gave up on her acknowledging me and sat down. Two parents and a daughter came in after me and they were given the silent treatment too until they sat down then eventually left.
