Gave them a try after living here for 5 years and not happy with the 2 popular locations nearby constantly doing poor jobs or rushing pedicure. The owner Anna is beyond sweet and the service here was amazing!!!! Highly recommend them and their cute little space!! Very clean! Very fair priced

My favorite place to get my nails done!! The best people who are so nice and will always do there best on my nails. They never fail to take an idea and make it wonderful. Always a customer at Q Nails

EXTREMELY over priced. I will not be returning. They charge for every single little thing. They also won't tell you what the extra costs are before doing the step. I ended up paying $55 total for this manicure. On top of it all, I had to choose a new gel color about 4 times because they didn't have the color yet that was presented on the nail paint sample wheel. It was ridiculous, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. They did a good job in terms of how the nails looked, but this was NOT worth $55 total.

So disappointing! Walked in and their door was open so there are lady bugs and 2 bees flying around. Got a polish change on my toes. $10. There is still evidence of my old polish (red) with the inconsistent pink painted around it so it looks like my toes/cuticles are bleeding. The "manicure" was horrible. I explained very clearly I wanted to remove the acrylic nails since my real nails have gotten long and have a manicure with my real nails. The older woman chopped off my pinky nail to the skin to remove the nails. I quickly stopped her and she said that's how acrylic nails are removed. I said no, And reminded her again I want to keep my real nails long. She then told me the only way to do that is to soak them off and would take 30 Minutes. I said yes, that's what I wanted. She then very rudely said but it takes 30 Minutes, like I was somehow inconveniencing her. I was the only person in the shop that morning. She put my nails in acetone and walked outside. She came back 15 minutes later to do the first grind and said it would take 45 minutes. I told her that's not a problem, I have the time. She huffed, grinded, and went back outside. She came back in again to repeat this process. After the acrylic was off, she quickly and inconsistently filed My nails. She not only Didn't ask what shape I wanted or if I wanted them trimmed at all, so they were all different shapes and lengths. She put cuticle oil on my nails, rubbed it in and told me to go wash my hands. When I came back, she asked that I pay before she started painting my nails. So to recap, no drink was offered, cut one nail totally down to skin, did not shape my nails, did nothing to ensure the length was even, and did no cuticle care other than Throwing some oil on it. I told she they were not shaped at all and she said I didn't want them shaped because I mentioned earlier I wanted to keep them long. I told her I was going to pay and leave. I have been getting manicures for 15 years and have never had an experience like this. Unprofessional and horrible quality. If I could give zero stars I would. The only thing I can assume is they don't have their license. Usually a license is hung very clearly but I saw none. Wouldn't go back even if I was paid to. I will stick with Soho nails by Hamilton place mall. You would think a new business would try to keep customers- especially when I mentioned it was my first time here.

Bobby and Anna are the sweetest humans ever!!!! Bobby did my dip powder nails and they look PERFECT!!! Loved my experience here

Owner was extremely sweet and the service was great. We were not rushed like we feel at 2 other local nail salons.

And it was true! We did. The parking lot didn't seem packed, but inside was super busy. My lovely wife walked right in and picked out a color. We got right in and started. They offered soft drinks and a literal menu of options. They chairs are the fancy-schmancy massage chairs that really do too many things. Anyway, the whole trip was really nice. Easy parking, no waiting, great service, and the pricing was fair. Tip your person!

We moved to the area for work and finding a nail salon has been hell. I settle here because Kevin has been the best so far but he rushes and does not listen. I've tried: Kevin, Linda and Cherry for my nails. Kevin has been the most consistent with getting the color and shape correct but the experience has been less than ideal. My last three experiences have been beyond relaxing more like stressful and annoying. If I ever have to settle here again Ooltewah Nail Bar will never see my partner and I again. It seems the speciality for this location is gel overlays and almond/oval shape. It seems to be the go to for most patrons here. Which is fine but clearly creativity lacks at this establishment.

My experience at this establishment was disappointing, to say the least (Brief synopsis of me:…read morecommunity-centered, kind, and neurodivergent). I only came in because I was looking for something quick. For starters, there were several times during my appointment where a staff member(s) would either 1) stand by the person doing my nails and talk to them specifically without acknowledging my presence and/or 2) stare at me from a distance with other staff members. Additionally, I noticed other customers staring at me as well. Nothing wrong with the stares perhaps; at the same time, there is a difference between looking at someone briefly and staring someone down. Again, I received "stares." All in all, I would say the "vibe" from a third person perspective (specifically, my perspective) was othering. The only reason I left a one star review is because the person who did my nails was excellent at doing their job. As someone who enjoys getting their nails done, I am very well versed in acrylic nails and what I like in them. So the person (Noah) was meticulous and patient. I enjoyed that. Additionally, I really love the finished product - I did not provide a picture because I want to make sure my words are acknowledged first and foremost. I would not recommend this business to anyone who is similar to my identity: Black, queer, neurodivergent, or (such as myself) ALL the above. Additionally, I would not recommend this establishment to individuals who are new to the world of acrylic nails. Suggestion (if you feel disappointed by this review and you're looking for someone to do your nails): invest in independent nail technicians! After this experience, I have realized that as an intentional kind of person, an independent nail technician may be the best way to go. I enjoy having conversation, and I believe independent nail technician's (depending on who you go to) may be able to provide that intentionality I am looking for.

Ok this is going to be long…read more Their sign says King Nails & Spa so don't be confused. I was a loyal K Joy customer. I still say that Kimmie does a fantastic job there and her salon is beautiful, BUT... On December 26th, I went to K Joy and they were closed. I needed to get my nails done THAT day. I had been to this salon about 2 years ago and it was just ok. Very basic nail options. A full set took forever. Only accepted cash from their cash machine that charged a fee and the lady that owned it also owned the froyo place and spent most of the time pushing her food on everyone which also only accepted cash... that always seems shady to me. I saw some newer fantastic reviews and decided to give them another try. I am BLOWN away! The salon is totally different. Tons of absolutely BEAUTIFUL options. It seems as though it has new owners. I was a walk-in with no appointment, yet I was greeted immediately and given a seat to get started even though they were busy. They do accept cards now and no mention of food. Lol. Vi did the most beautiful set of dip nails and at a great price (about $15 less for a full set of dip nails in an ombre style). She put so much extra effort into making sure that my hands and nails were beautiful. From a very thorough trimming of my cuticles (not just relying on the grinder and filing) to massaging my hands after the nails were complete. You get the full manicure treatment in addition to beautiful nails. King was helping and very sweet and friendly. At 48 years old and having had my nails done since I was a teenager, I can honestly say these are my favorite nails ever. I can't stop looking at them. I will definitely be back with no hesitation. Please pardon the old wrinkly hands and bad picture. They are 1000 times prettier in person. Don't hesitate to come here or if you'd been here in the past, like me, come back and see all the new options and give them another try. You won't regret it!
