The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because your service can be pricey. The quality of work I received from Paul was great, I had an appointment schedule and still had to wait a while. Once I got in the chair things were good till 1.5 hr went by and I was still getting my nails done. I was informed he is a perfectionist so I didn't complain. Just prepare to spend at least 2hrs if you're in his chair.

    Uneven nail paint

Place is absolutely beautiful on the inside but the quality of the service I got was eh. I had Henry and he honestly felt annoyed to be having to do my nails. Didn't feel welcoming at all. He rushed through my service and did a sloppy job with painting my nails and left the length of my nails uneven. Maybe someone else would've done a better job

    Not worth the money

They really tried me! First let me say that I have been in B2B sales all of my adult life. I have sold credit card processing services locally for many years. I know what it cost a small business to accept a credit card and I also know that it is unethical to charge your customers 6% for using a credit card. Imagine if every small business did that. This is Qs Nails in a nutshell. Scam artists! I tool my 10 year old granddaughter to get a mani and pedi and they started by quoting me $65 for her nails. She's a baby! Then when I protested, they said $20 for her nails and then the manager yells from the back, "$30.00 for her nail". We were off to a bad start. Then I got my natural nails done. Initially I wanted acrylic on my nails to prevent them from breaking but they only wanted to cut my long natural nails to put on fake nails! Finally, I asked if they could just use acrylic to repair the two cracked nails and some sing at made me wait 30 minutes to suggest crazy glue. I have nail glue at home. I finally decided I had enough of this foolishness and offered to pay 80% for my nails since only 8 nails were done. The manager finally came from the back and offered to fix my two nails that we're not done. She fixed my two nails and then I was told that my nails would be 6% more because I was using my debit card. Here me loud and clear, the card processing companies don't charge for debit cards! Lies lied! Qs stands for ask questions! Ultimately, I used cash app!

This is the reference picture I showed the manicurist, Kevin. He would barely even glance at it.

Would rate this place 0 if I could, and here's why: 1) Disgusting--there was nail dust EVERYWHERE, and mold in the sink they had us wash our hands in! It was hot, loud, crowded, and it was completely obvious that they were not sanitizing ANYTHING! 2) Unprofessional--I went with my two friends, and they had one of my friends sit down and put her feet in the water to start her pedicure, and then made her get up without even drying her feet off! After I paid, they had me sit down, and another worker started telling me that my full set was $65. I told her that I already paid $55, and she tried to make me go back and pay again! I said no and walked out. Everything there was overpriced, and they wouldn't even tell us what our manis/pedis would cost before we started or whenever we asked. They even asked me to pay in cashapp. They charged my friend 5 extra dollars for every color she used without even telling her, and charged her extra for the length even after she asked them to file her nails down shorter (and they refused). They are legit scammers! 3) Untimely--my friends and I had booked 3 appointments, and yet 2 of us waited 30 minutes to start, and the other waited an entire hour! It took about 2 and a half hours for me to get a full set with French tips. At my regular place, it takes no longer than 40 minutes. 4) Just Plain BAD--I asked for French tips, and showed the manicurist a picture multiple times, and he barely even glanced at it. I wanted a crescent moon shape, but instead he just painted white straight across. He refused to put a base coat on even after I asked him to. I got them fixed at another nail salon with my regular manicurist, and she said they did a horrible job. They were uneven, lumpy, and just a sloppy job. All in all, this is a trashy, disgusting, overpriced, slummy, sloppy nail salon full of subpar manicurists and rude workers! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! The pictures are (1) what I got and (2) what I asked for. What a joke!

Got my nails done at q nails in Calverton for the first time. Just lost my second nail from this set yesterday and realized I have fungus underneath one of my nail. Very pricey, nails looked cute from a far but up close they were very uneven and wide, nail tech did one thin layer of white coat which was very transparent and streaky. She didn't put oil at the end and i was left with a lot of glue and acrylic on my fingers. While i was there, 3 different females came complaining that they were missing nails from a set they just got days ago.

What is this? There's an empty spot in the middle of my toe. I wouldn't as much as bring my 4 legged bestie here for this nonsense.

Don't waste your time. There are way too many salons that would appreciate your business, why give it to folks that are incapable and unappreciative.

The first picture are my nails which were done by Kevin. He sits in the first chair. He did a good job but the nails are different shapes and lengths. (You can't really tell from this picture). I normally go to his brother Paul., but he was booked and pushed me off on Kevin . The main reason I was disappointed during this visit is because when it was time to pay Kevin charged me $75 for my nails (I only got a fill-in and the studs). He gave himself a $25 tip without me knowing (that's a 50% tip). I have no problem for paying for quality but taking advantage of someone is a whole different story. I'll only be going to Paul from now on.

I love this nail shop because KEVIN is amazing! Most people go to Paul but Kevin is really good too. I always go to him for my nails! The nail shop it self is alright. It's always usually crowded but they do a good job of trying to regulate. It's not super nice in the inside but if you're going because you want quality nails and not a pretty atmosphere then it's the one! I'm honestly scared to go to any other nail shop because I'm never let down with Kevin! Plus: they also take cash app! Con: the shop opens at 10 but most of the time the nail techs don't start rolling in until 10:15-10:30 which is super annoying on a time crunch!

Nails done by Susan! Grown out a little now, but I will definitely be back!

So I was SUPER hesitant to go here because of all the bad reviews. But it was the closest to me and I needed my nails done. LUCKILY my experience was sooooo wonderful! My goodness. I was lucky. :) . My nail lady's name was Susan. Susan is an angel! She did my nails so perfectly. I am the kind of person who is super anal about lumps, bumps, uneven edges, etc. Susan was very meticulous in making my nails perfect. I got a gel full set and I couldn't be happier. Susan was kind, asked questions, listened super well and absolutely deserved every penny of the $10 tip I gave her (I would have given more if I had it on me)! So, my recommendation is, try this place out for yourself and get Susan if you can!!

Misleading and rude. The price is supposed to be $45 for basic, short, one color acrylics. I got basic medium/long length acrylics with 3 different colors and no design, it cost $75. They hid details and were not upfront about cost and gave attitude at checkout. Unsanitary. There was nail dust everywhere and dirty sinks. You can tell that nothing gets cleaned. I went with 2 friends and they treated all 3 of us horribly. We made an appointment and were ON TIME and 2 of us waited 30 minutes for service and the other waited an hour. Overall very overpriced, HORRIBLE customer service, and unsatisfactory.

Paul is the greatest! I haven't found anyone that compares to him in or around Annapolis. I moved 39 miles away and I'm going back to Paul!

Another one of her greatest qualities is how she'll explain to you how to upkeep before and after your appointments so the wax is tolerable. I can't express how well she takes care of her clients. I went to this European Wax Center the day before my trip. I listed my facial actives when I made…read morethe appointment and had stopped them a week prior. Still, I was refused service and told I needed a doctor's note upon arrival. Or to be off actives for 30 days. This has never been an issue before at any other location. First time at the Laurel location. I usually go to College Park or Silver Spring. I had to scramble and get my brows threaded elsewhere that night. I asked for the manager's contact and called the next day to express my frustration. I explained everything. She said the waxer was a new employee. I told her I'd sign a waiver of liability if needed, but I wasn't stopping my actives for longer than a week nor bringing in a doctor's note. I also asked to use my now expired birthday coupon beyond the expiration date and my request was honored. I went back after my trip for my eyebrows to be cleaned up as they were still in good shape from getting them threaded three weeks ago. Smooth appointment until checkout, when the front desk staff tried to charge me. I reminded her it was supposed to be complimentary, gave the manager's name who booked the appointment, and had her verify it. Apparently there were no notes in my appointment. There were other customers in the waiting room. Awkward. What if the manager hadn't answered the call? It would have been my word with no backing and an embarrassment. While this location is convenient, I'm not sure I will frequent it. Two out of two visits have required calling the manager. Not a welcoming experience.
