I have tried so many groomers in Markham over the years as a dog owner. Covid really changed everything a lot. Prices have gone up, quality has gone down. Our OG a groomer sadly closed her shop and never reopened. When we brought home our newest furbaby 10 months ago, instinctively, I took her for grooming to another spot where we used to take our last pup. The price had tripled, a lot had changed and there was no transparency with services or pricing. Needless to say, I never went back. I received a few recommendations and one of them came highly recommended by a friend and fellow trusted dog owner. This is how we arrived at Q Studio. Quaint little shop tucked away beside Roll Me Up Ice Cream and a hair salon on Main Street Markham. It is a small shop, but clean and well maintained. Our furbaby loves her visits to the shop. Her grooming is always neat and exactly what we discussed on her very first visit. They are very consistent with the quality of grooming and if it is going to take 2 hrs, they are very communicative with letting us know if she is almost done or may take a bit longer. Owner was very friendly and the place is small but clean and nicely decorated. My puppy was very happy in the end. I was an hour late to pick up my pup but the employee there was nice enough to wait for me. Will come back again. Price is good too. Tip: Make sure to ask what time they close as told by the employee depends what time is the last appointment coming in. read more

So, my dog has gone to this groomer 5 or 6 times and this latest time it was for a closer shave than normal. I took him in Friday and when I went to pick him up, I paid and was given my dog without any mention of an incident. We get home and my dog is shaking his head every few minutes. He's a poodle so I assume it's discomfort from when they pulled loose hair from his ears. BOTH ears have pretty bad nicks on them, and were still bleeding. And around his little tummy. :( I'm not mad that he got nicked, I know he's squirmy when he's at the vet/groomer. I'm mad I wasn't told about it. Frankly, I've had enough with them. She believes she's above customers and shows no respect for people who pay her bills. It was a hot day and when we get to her studio, she's giving us this loooooooooooong lecture about covid-19 as if we never heard of it. My dog regular groomer was ill so I took both my furry boys to this place. Lucky (German Sheppard) & Max (Alaskan Klee Kai). Max was accepted but they denied Lucky because were told they only groom small to medium size pups! We left Max there and decided to take Lucky to another groomer. 2 hours later they called to pick up Max. My BF was surprised because usually it takes 3 hours for full grooming bath etc. But we thought probably they weren't busy like other place. We got there and he was almost shaved even though I showed previous Max's pictures so they understand how short we want him. My BF said it's ok because of Summer and hot weather. We got back to our car but Max smelled so bad we had to open up the windows. We weren't sure why! I think they use some kind of lousy shampoo - no other explanation! Anyway, I am sure I won't bring my boys to this place. Rush service and low quality shampoo but charging the same as other groomers are no no with us. read more

I was recommended this place by a friend of mine so i decided to try it out. The place is very small but visually appealing. The staff are really friendly and super welcoming! There waiting area is nice and the two ladies recommend cuts that might look good and what to look for and do when grooming him at home. The staff were very patient and gentle and did everything thoroughly so nothing was missed. You can tell they are very experienced and talented with everyone that comes in and gives them the best time. They are also flexible with time and the pricing is good as well. I will definitely be returning for sure and i will recommend everyone with pets to come here too! read more

They did an amazing job in tidying Lola. The owner was honest in suggesting a tidy rather than a full groom when Lola's hair was not that long. She took the time to comb through the hardened hair around her mouth which was the most important thing to me, cut off some of the knots to allow for new hair to grow. She took her time and the work showed. Would definitely come back! read more

Started bringing my dogs here and I'm glad I did! The staff are very friendly and know how to treat your dogs well. One of my dog is very hyper and will not settle down but they are able to give him a great cut every time! They explain to you everything that needs to be down and gives suggestions on what is best for your dog when you bring them in. read more

Very nice small place. We're new to pet ownership after adopting a cat that was serious need of a bath. Not knowing what to expect, I called around and Yota was the only place that was able to fit us in with little notice. She is right beside Love Gelato on Main Street. On a Monday, you can park in the small parking lot. Otherwise, you can park on the street or drop off at her door and go. Initially, she was going to give him a lion cut (my fault because I have no clue what to ask for) but after talking to her about it and when she saw how calm he is, she gave him a bath, a comb out, blow dry, sanitary trim, ear cleaning and nail trim. He did not enjoy the blow dryer but she persevered. We'll be back soon for another bath. read more

We had been going to the same groomer for over 10 years but when she relocated to another part of Ontario we looked around for another great place for awhile. We finally found it! Our miniature schnauzer is 13 years old and has become difficult in his old age. Yota accepted him with his skin issues and anxiousness. My long haired chihuahua Rambo requires a lot of trust when being handled by people he's never met before and Yota and her team proved worthy of this. He didn't whimper or bark once while there and the staff were very gentle, patient and knowledgeable of his needs. We started taking our dog for grooming there just to try out. It was right beside one of our favourite gelato places (Love Gelato). We like that there is a waiting area for the dogs when they are done grooming whether than being left in a kennel. The two ladies there are really nice. One thing we didn't like about pet smart is that there is so many groomers and you might not know who is going to be cleaning your dog each time. This place just has the two ladies there, I'm guessing they are the owners. We know that each time our dog get groom it's going to be consistent results, which so far it has been. They always give us suggests as to what looks good and what to look for when we groom him at home. And they lets us know how our dog was behaving, he's still a puppy so he's not always patient but they let us know his improvements and what we can do at home to get him to behave better. read more
