I dropped off my Army service dress uniform and a business suit for cleaning. To have it freshened up for a memorial service tomorrow MORNING, I'm in the color guard. To my surprise, they destroyed my whole uniform coat by putting some type of chemical on it that caused the dark dye to bleed ALL OVER MY BRILLIANT GOLD EMBROIDERED PIPING, RANK, WHITE LETTERING, AND RUINED EVERY PATCH. The coat itself cost $300, plus another $125-$150 for patches, sewing, and tailoring. Additionally, they shrunk my dress suit coat and pants to the point where I have a camel toe and high waters.
In Broken English, all he could do was laugh (he actually laughed) and say he didn't know what happened, and that he'd try to fix it and to come back "next week" . I told him I need it tomorrow, he said his employees are gone until 11am. I said call them in early because when I make a mistake on a client, I have to work late or come in early to fix it. I'm soooo pissed I may be unable to perform my military duty because of this.
The worst part was the Asian lady actually still wanted me to pay for it! I lost it at that point and told them if they didn't fix it or pay for it, I'd file a claim on their insurance. She started cussing and told me that to come back at 8am, then cussed more as I walked out. The didn't understand why I wasn't okay with a $10 coupon for "next time"- as if the will be- after ruining my Army dress uniform the day before I have to perform military honors for a Soldier who passed a away. read more
