My husband and I noticed our pool pump wouldn't turn on a few hours after we added some chemicals incorrectly. We reached out to Devin first thing Sunday morning and not only did he answer right away, but he helped us fix the issue by text in less than 2 minutes. We lost sleep thinking we completely ruined our brand new pool, but he calmed our nerves and got us up and running again! The level of service and expertise is unmatched!! I am very surprised by the positive reviews that Devin has received as they are not reflective of…read moremy experience. Things started out well with Devin as he was responsive and engaging but that all changed when issues started to arise. The true measure of a company is how it handles issues after installation. This was when the underlying issues with Devin's work became painful apparent. To start, my position is that Devin has lied and taken advantage of me and has soaked me for over $213,000. He has left me with a pool that has a growing sink hole and fissure at the deep end along with pavers and landscaping that are literally pitched to drain water into the pool whenever it rains. (see pics) Despite Devin's efforts, these issues persist. For a bit of background, during initial excavation in June 2023, water immediately started pooling in the excavated space (see pics)and Devin assured me that it was not a problem. Devin encountered ledge very early, charged me $10,350 for a CO to rock hammer the ledge which compromised the ledge and exposed a natural spring. (see pics) Again, Devin assured me that it was not a problem. As it has turned out, this is an enormous problem that has undermined the safety and stability of the pool and require extensive remediation. This could all have been avoided by simply drilling pilot holes before excavation began which Devin had indicated was unnecessary. Also, Devin did not employ appropriate water abatement measures to deal with the natural spring or runoff. It's clear that Devin does not understand hydrostatic pressure which indicates that he does not know what he was doing OR perhaps he was just taking short cuts to get to his next customer. Either way this is a serious problem and just the tip of the iceberg as there have been so many other issues. During the pool opening this past May, the liner was floating (see pics) so all water had to be drained, the vermiculite fixed, and the liner reset all while continually pumping rising ground water out of the pool. Devin's subcontractor for water delivery caused damage to my driveway and to an outbuilding containing propane tanks for my house. Despite Devin's clear responsibility, he failed and refused to address the damages and incorrectly told me that the issue should be handled by me and the subcontractor. He demanded a $900 payment without addressing the damages. When I told him that I will pay the invoice after the damages were addressed, he stopped all communication with me and "dropped me as a client" because he said I was "disrespectful and being unreasonable about his time". Bear in mind, that Devin was under contract with me and responsible for these damages and other warranty issues when he stopped communication with me which was a breach of contract. I encourage anyone looking for a pool installer to read the complaints I have filed with the Better Business Bureau and the RI Contractors Registration Board (My understanding is that AMD is currently under investigation). I have also contacted the RI Attorney General's office and have had to hire an attorney. Only after a demand letter was sent to Devin did he responded to me with this text message. (See screenshot below) This message is typical of the type of communication Devin regularly employs. This is unprofessional, inappropriate, arrogant and disrespectful. Finally, if anyone would like more information regarding the work Devin competed at my property, please feel free to contact me. As a side note, Devin changed the name of his company from "AMD Landscaping" to "AMD Pools and Patios" last year. I have learned the hard way that a name change does not result in competent or experienced pool installers as Devin would like his customer to believe. There are several other very experienced pool installers in RI that are honest and have integrity. I regret not working with one of those other companies who have the requisite experience necessary to deal with issues when they arise.

Justin gave me a tour and helped me find and select an apartment. He was so patient through dozens of emails and follow up questions and I'm now in an apartment I really love. Margaret and Dina at the management office have been great. They worked with me to have everything set up and ready for a seamless move the weekend after Thanksgiving. They all are super responsive to emails and are more than willing to answer any questions and concerns. My move into Canterbury Green has been surprisingly and thankfully low stress!
