All stairs at my Sono condo were condemned by the City of Norwalk. My set of stairs were condemned twice. It didn't need to come to that but when stair safety issues were first reported, they were ignored. We didn't have safe egress from the second and third floor condos for several years. Why would you want to work with people who do not have integrity? The property manager at my condo moved to Felner after many years of neglect under another company. She and 2 board members rule the roost (but have soft quit the actual work) so they can act like they are important. Instead of doing her job, Lynn Jackson chose to make up invoices, but will not explain what they are actually for. As an innocent homeowner, I don't understand how this can go unchecked... When I try and seek help, she slanders me to others. Matt Felner has threatened me with legal action several times now, in writing, just for asking after these bogus bills and for posting these Yelp reviews... which are 100% true. (Like I want to be doing this... and all photos except the last 2 were taken today...) Who would tolerate this kind of behavior in a normal, honest condo community? Something is wrong here! Here are the biggest issues: 1. All condo stairs were condemned. People were not informed of the danger, cost to repair was outrageous because it became necessary for the building inspector to force the fix. A huge loan was taken out without majority consent of homeowners and there is no transferable, legal paperwork for the repair either. 2. I have been called names and have faced retaliation for just asking about safe stairs and for asking about a refund for the first, shoddy, inept repair which did not pass inspection (The retaliation is at Felner but the $5k first 'patch' repair was done by The Property Group.) 3. Grounds keeping: They hire unskilled laborers who do more damage than good. Plants go missing, they ride rider mowers on new grass killing it every year. Work is unprofessional and costs are excessive and unnecessary. 4. I have personally been excluded from an important meeting, yet another illegal tactic showing unfair business practices. 5. Harassment and discrimination of certain innocent homeowners. They (including me) have faced fabricated allegations and bogus bills for large sums of money. 6. Basic condo information is withheld. Questions go unanswered. 7. Segmented invites to meetings, especially those where board members are up for re-election. Not everyone is invited to election meetings, plus they count their own votes. There is no help for homeowners stuck under this type of condo 'property management', if you can even call it that. A COM license to work as a property manger is issued by the DCP in CT. Yet, they don't care how this manager tells lies, plays extortion games and practices harassment tactics. There is nowhere to report this manager who has put people here in peril. (Thank goodness for the Building Inspector at least!! We finally have safe egress!!! Cost was excessive...) Think abut it -- my condo was managed so poorly, it was condemned. That alone may not be against the law, but harassing and bullying homeowners should be. Destroying a property while personally profiting from it like an invasive pest should be. Having integrity and having managers do the job they are paid to do should be important to any company. But Matt Felner employs and backs Lynn Jackson. If you're reading this, trust me, you do not want to invite people like this into your property and take control of the finances. You'll surely regret it. read more

Lynn Jackson is the property manager at my condo in Norwalk, CT. She lies, withholds information and has been overbilling me for YEARS. I just got a $1000 bill for nothing. I had to contact the building inspector of Norwalk about the unsafe stairs (after she had told me to fix them myself) and they were condemned. A repair was done but also didn't pass inspection (before she brought the condo to Felner). Matt Flener has refused to speak to me from day 1, even while Lynn Jackson lied about payment info and returned my checks (which were received on time). She is a sneaky, nasty, unprofessional ugly person who works for a low class board person (scumbag) ) intent on 'gitting' me and my child for no other reason than we are who we are. Some people can't do, so they harass others. The condo looks worse than project housing (hate to use the word 'ghetto' but ii fits) and there are ongoing safety issues (pipe leaks, mud slicks, ice slicks). The HOA has doubled while they play games, over charge, cut corners, and harass homeowners rather than just do the job they are paid to do (manage the property). Let the photos speak for themselves (I rotate them every 6 mo). Both this horrible Jackson property manager and Felner Corp. are pathetic, and have no integrity, ethics or professionalism. They do not practice fair business practices. I have told the Dept. of Consumer Protection about the bogus charges and other dirty tricks which include intimidation tactics. As soon as I did, my March check from bill pay (sent out in February) suddenly went missing... now is 'lost in the mail.' They are holding it to git me back for not opening my purse in ACH pull. That's how they stole money from me last time (money taken for bogus charges not associated w HOA) when it was set up like that. Yes, money disappeared from my checking acount without my knowledge or consent (bank returned it). They are a DEI nightmare and plain bullies who enjoy hassling me for no real reason. Both Jackson and board bully are inept, deceitful, and vindictive. I do not recommend introducing a pest like this into your community. This is my true experience. On 10/15/2023, at 4:38 pm, my vehicle was towed by Franks LLC, a towing company contracted by our HOA, Felner Corporation. This unfortunate event happened due to the HOA's failure to provide me with the necessary parking hangtags, as outlined in their regulations. Despite my efforts to obtain the required documentation, I was unsuccessful, leading to the unauthorized towing of my vehicle. This incident has caused significant inconvenience and distress to my family and me. I've already paid out of pocket to have my vehicle released from Franks LLC on the same day. Therefore, I've requested reimbursement for the expenses incurred due to the unauthorized towing. This incident not only affected me but also my wife and our two beloved dogs, Ella and Thor. My wife relies on our vehicle for various errands and appointments, and the unexpected towing disrupted her plans for the day, causing her additional stress. Additionally, the disruption to our routine also impacted the emotional well-being of our dogs, who are sensitive to changes in their environment. Moreover, this incident has shaken our trust in the HOA. As residents, we expect the HOA to uphold certain standards and provide essential services in a fair and transparent manner. However, the negligence displayed in this situation has eroded our confidence in the organization. We live in a condo complex that is managed by Felner, and it has been one problem after another. We had problems with rain and snow damage, and Felner kept saying "they'd send someone to look at it", but that never happened and now we have a mold problem too. They seem to like to responding to emails promising prompt action more than they like actually helping the people in their units.
