I want to share my experience with Yates Astro so other homeowners are aware…read more On multiple occasions, a technician came to my house without any prior notification that service was being performed that day. When I checked my Ring camera afterward, I saw that the technician only sprayed the front porch area and left within about 30 seconds. Despite that, I was billed for a full service that supposedly included both interior and exterior treatment of the home. This happened more than once. Each time, the footage showed the technician arriving, spraying only the front porch area very quickly, and leaving shortly afterward. There was no full perimeter treatment and no interior service performed, yet the charges reflected a complete service visit. I contacted the company to raise this concern and explained that I had Ring footage showing exactly what was done. I expected them to review the situation and either refund the charges or address the issue. Instead, I was told that the charges were still considered valid. That response was extremely disappointing. As a homeowner, you rely on service companies to actually perform the work they charge for. In this case, what I was billed for did not match what was done. Because of this experience, I would strongly recommend that customers monitor their service visits closely and review any camera footage if you have it. Transparency and trust are important when hiring a pest control company, and unfortunately my experience with Yates Astro did not reflect that.

We hired Critter Control (a Trutech company) for exclusion work, which included installing a…read moreone-way door and sealing entry points. While most of the work was completed, they failed to remove the one-way door or properly finish the job. Despite our multiple calls and messages over the course of over a month, they repeatedly ignored our requests for follow-up. The only way to get someone on the phone was to call the new customer line, as their existing customer line led to a dead-end. Even then, we were told a manager would call us back, but that never happened. They effectively stonewalled us while leaving their work unfinished. In addition to failing to honor their contract, they attempted to charge us for services that were not rendered and auto-charged our card without prior authorization. After giving them one last chance to fix the issue, we had to hire someone else to complete the job. We are now pursuing a chargeback for the cost of their incomplete work. If you're considering using this company, be aware that they may not honor their contract, may charge you for services they don't provide, and may auto-charge your card without authorization. We would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a more reliable wildlife control service.
