As a class passer, I'm always excited to try a new studio. This time when I came into town to visit my family and friends in South Florida, my best friend dragged me to a 6 AM class here at Pyra and I am so happy I came! The studio is gorgeous, the branding and aesthetic are super chic and fun, and the supplies are state-of-the-art. No need to bring your own Matt, they supply everything for you, just bring a small and large towel. This was the most unique Pilates class I've ever taken, we all got several variations of weights as well as a band and a small ball. I had never done exercises balancing on a ball in a class like this before, and it was so challenging and really ignite your core. They even provide ankle weights, which you can keep on for the entire class or only for specific movements, but everything is very classy and a great experience. They have a giant mirror on all sides, enabling you to watch your form and snap some selfies afterward if you survive haha. They had a Polaroid camera at the front with a wall of hanging clothes pins for you to hang your selfie. If you choose to take one, I thought this was such a cute touch and really sets the vibe. At only six credits for this class, it was well worth its value, my instructor (Callie? Carly?) was so knowledgeable and locked in, I would definitely come back and the payoff of taking a 6 AM class and having the whole day in front of you can't be beat

The combination of pilates with infrared heat makes the classes both challenging and incredibly satisfying.

This is usually my Pilates studio, so it was fun switching things up and trying something different. The class was super engaging and definitely challenging, but I felt so good afterward. The instructor, as always, was really kind and did a great job making sure everyone understood the movements. She explained not only how to do certain moves, but also what they help with, like posture, digestion, and overall body awareness, which I really appreciated. It was a tough but rewarding class, and I left feeling strong, energized, and accomplished. I'd definitely recommend this class if you're looking to challenge yourself while still feeling supported.

It's very convenient and I like getting to know the staff for a more personal experience. There are two main workout rooms. One room offers yoga, barre, mat Pilates, strength and TRX. The other room is for reformer Pilates. I have tried Vinyasa yoga. Lynzy was is amazing with the flow. Not only was it a great workout, I also felt the benefits of a full body and much needed stretch. I took mat Pilates, reformer Pilates and barre Pilates fusion. I'm new to Pilates so I'd need to try different Pilates classes at other locations to provide more insight on what I would expect to feel after these workouts. I'd probably try the mat Pilates before the reformer Pilates because of the visibility to see the movement instruction. In the reformer Pilates class all of the reformers are in a single line and there's a pillar in the middle of the room. I. The class I took it was hard to see the instructor if she was giving instruction on the other side of the room with the pillar blocking the way. There are also some things I didn't know if I was doing right and I don't feel that I was given much guidance. I was watching other people in the class to see what they were doing as were other women around me. Barre Pilates was great for working on core strength but some of the Pilates pads weren't holding air. The instructor mentioned that they aren't the best quality. She also said she came in early to add more air to the pads so it sounds like they need to be replaced. This left me feeling a little weary that they're not updating their equipment often enough. My pad held air but I would be disappointed if I showed up to a class and couldn't get a proper workout because the equipment was lacking. My favorite class by far is the TRX class instructed by Nikki. Wow! She is awesome in watching form and giving alternative moves to those in need. I'm active and do strength training regularly. Her workout left me sore in places I haven't been sore in a very long time. Her workout targeted areas I've been trying to work for quite some time, like bra bulge areas. I look forward to going back to her class! The descriptions on Class Pass tell you what you need to bring. Overall, this is a great place to experience several different types of workouts. The staff are friendly, encouraging and enthusiastic. I observed that a majority of the clients are women so if you're a woman looking for a place to feel more comfortable I'd recommend The Strength District.

I can tell you that nobody matches up to Karen's ability, knowledge, motivation or creating such a fun experience while learning and practicing the fine art of Pilates. When I started working with Karen I was in terrible shape and my core was non existent. Withing 3 months of consistent classes (the key is you have to go) my body transformed before me eyes. My core was strong and firm, my over all body strength was increased and I was looking great. I was hooked! Karen is super passionate about what she does and it shows in the way she teaches. She is super high energy and always willing to spend time with her students. She makes working on improving your body FUN and because Pilates is so eclectic you will never get tired of what you're working on. I can't say enough about Karen. I love her and she is awesome!

Highly recommend trying a class here if you want results!…read more Here's my story....I've taken Pilates classes on and off for 15 years. After having some life changing events and stomach issues I stopped going for two years and resumed 5-7 days a week when gyms reopened during Covid at another studio in town. I couldn't understand why I was struggling in classes with things that I had never struggled with before and I continued to keep getting weaker even after taking 100 classes. Finally, after being told that weights would no longer be allowed at the studio I was going to I canceled my membership and I took the plunge and signed up online for 3 months of unlimited classes at Laura's. I had never even seen the studio but her training was impressive and I was determined to get back in shape. At that point I was the heaviest I've ever been in my life, I had constant back pain after classes at the studio I had been going to and I couldn't even do a full teaser anymore so I had nothing to lose. I signed up for the Thursday 10:30 Triple A class because I saw weights in the picture on Instagram. When I arrived I realized I was in no shape to take this class. Everyone of all different ages was in amazing shape. I decided I couldn't just leave so I tried my best but everyone at the class ended up being very supportive especially Laura! I felt like it was ok to work at my own pace and Laura confirmed that. After that class I tried to go as many days a week as I possibly could. We did Pilates exercises I've never tried before and within a month I was feeling better and seeing results finally!! It still amazes me how the classes never get boring and are always challenging. I've gone down 3 clothing sizes and lost several pounds and I feel great! My back doesn't hurt anymore and I can do a full teaser again. I'm still an unlimited member and I try to take at least 5 classes a week. If you want to get in this best shape of your life this is where you belong. Definitely try a class!
