I took a Saturday morning yoga sculpt class at Strength District, and it was such a great experience. This is usually my Pilates studio, so it was fun switching things up and trying something different. The class was super engaging and definitely challenging, but I felt so good afterward. The instructor, as always, was really kind and did a great job making sure everyone understood the movements. She explained not only how to do certain moves, but also what they help with, like posture, digestion, and overall body awareness, which I really appreciated. It was a tough but rewarding class, and I left feeling strong, energized, and accomplished. I'd definitely recommend this class if you're looking to challenge yourself while still feeling supported. read more

I've been going here for a few years now and I honestly really enjoy it. The studio is always nice and clean, and the staff is always friendly. Taken several instructors classes here over the years, some are still here some are not there are still here are truly amazing and wonderful. I always have a challenging, but fun! transitions and how to properly execute movements and use the equipment properly are always given. I only take the reformer Pilates classes usually with Lita, she's so amazing. Really cares about you and your workout and wants to make sure that you're not only enjoy it, but feel like you're getting what you want out of your workout. She does have a more strength training style on the reformer, which I do enjoy I have seen muscle growth and strength build, but does use some classical Pilates techniques, of course. I also really like Nancy. She has more classical Pilates classes great instruction as well very clear and fun but challenging. I love that they provide towels not all Pilates places do and fans in front of every reformer, which is really nice! read more

I have attended several different classes at The Strength District via Class Pass. I like that they offer so many different classes at one location. It's very convenient and I like getting to know the staff for a more personal experience. There are two main workout rooms. One room offers yoga, barre, mat Pilates, strength and TRX. The other room is for reformer Pilates. I have tried Vinyasa yoga. Lynzy was is amazing with the flow. Not only was it a great workout, I also felt the benefits of a full body and much needed stretch. I took mat Pilates, reformer Pilates and barre Pilates fusion. I'm new to Pilates so I'd need to try different Pilates classes at other locations to provide more insight on what I would expect to feel after these workouts. I'd probably try the mat Pilates before the reformer Pilates because of the visibility to see the movement instruction. In the reformer Pilates class all of the reformers are in a single line and there's a pillar in the middle of the room. I. The class I took it was hard to see the instructor if she was giving instruction on the other side of the room with the pillar blocking the way. There are also some things I didn't know if I was doing right and I don't feel that I was given much guidance. I was watching other people in the class to see what they were doing as were other women around me. Barre Pilates was great for working on core strength but some of the Pilates pads weren't holding air. The instructor mentioned that they aren't the best quality. She also said she came in early to add more air to the pads so it sounds like they need to be replaced. This left me feeling a little weary that they're not updating their equipment often enough. My pad held air but I would be disappointed if I showed up to a class and couldn't get a proper workout because the equipment was lacking. My favorite class by far is the TRX class instructed by Nikki. Wow! She is awesome in watching form and giving alternative moves to those in need. I'm active and do strength training regularly. Her workout left me sore in places I haven't been sore in a very long time. Her workout targeted areas I've been trying to work for quite some time, like bra bulge areas. I look forward to going back to her class! The descriptions on Class Pass tell you what you need to bring. Overall, this is a great place to experience several different types of workouts. The staff are friendly, encouraging and enthusiastic. I observed that a majority of the clients are women so if you're a woman looking for a place to feel more comfortable I'd recommend The Strength District. read more

I've only come here once and for one class - mat pilates - but based on that visit, I rate Body Couture highly. It's a small, clean studio located in a busy plaza in east Pompano. The class was great and way more beginner-friendly than a reformer class (in my opinion). They offer much more than just that class, though. I would love to return. read more

I love this studio. Its my second time attending a session and Nadyne made me sweat. Pilates take a lot of discipline and focus. At this studio even if you are an amateur the instructors are there to provide support. I've done one reformer class with Cinda and she's also very knowledgeable of Pilates. Be prepared to sweat, work your core and watch your body transfer progressively. read more

I was up in Broward for the weekend and I wanted to work out. I'm a member of ClassPass and found Body Couture Pilates & Fitness on there. The studio had good reviews, and when I checked Yelp, I saw Diandra L. had left them a positive review. I was sold. I booked the Sunday class at 8:30 AM because the amount of stuff going on that day was insane. We needed all the time we could get. Because yes, I wasn't fool enough to do this alone. I dragged Francisco V. with me. Michelle was our instructor. I loved her accent! Random, I know, but it's just so lovely. She's super nice and made me feel ridiculously comfortable. I recently finished up my stint with physical therapy, so my exercising has been nonexistent and I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. She helped modify some exercises for me and I'm beyond grateful. I've done Pilates before, but I have to say I've never done it like this. The studio may seem a bit old compared to others I'm used to, but the equipment is clean, immense, and even has parts I've never used before. The reformer had a head rest, a box, a stick, a balance ball, straps, you name it. More so, everything was used. How often do you see that happening in a class? Impressed doesn't even cover how I feel. Apparently they offer other classes besides Pilates. I saw Barre and even cardio kickboxing on there. Definitely will go back and try some more classes. I work nearby, so it's super convenient. In fact, I signed up for Barre tomorrow. Let's see how it goes. read more

In my quest for fitness I have found I really love Pilates! When I'm in the Fort Lauderdale area the Pilates Reformer L1-2 class with Doreen is my favorite way to start the day. I discovered this studio via class pass and it's great. There is ample parking in the strip mall lot, and a small studio for Pilates as well as an another room for different fitness classes. I enjoy the classes because they are challenging - each time there are new focus areas and moves. It's been helping me to improve my posture and flexibility, and I have been noticing some toning in areas that I am trying to improve (my arms and waist). Since I am new to pilates, I appreciate that Doreen always makes sure to correct my form if I need it and explain new exercises. If you're in the area, check it out! read more

Cinda and Marla are great and very attentive when it comes to their classes. I always felt welcomed and acknowledged. I also love that it's away something new so my body doesn't totally get uses to it. They help me while also guiding and directing me to build my form at my pace and strength which I appreciate. Michelle kicked my ass. It was on Sunday at 8:30am that I learned what the Pilates experience is all about, and my body is still remembering it a few days later. We arrived just as the same time she did, and were able to sign the waivers and get ready. Michelle is absolutely lovely, and her accent makes you want to keep listening to her - it's lovely! She asked us if we had any injuries or anything that we may need to modify, as well as our experience with Pilates in the past. This is a nice and small studio in the Oakland Park area, and for Pilates, it seems a class can accommodate about 8-10 people. My girlfriend found them on ClassPass and we made sure to book it a few days in advance. When we went, the class had filled up, mostly with regulars. All they ask you to take is a towel, water and socks (preferably grippy socks), but socks are sold at the studio... for a price. Water is sold there as well for a dollar, and Powerade is sold for two dollars. As long as you aren't buying socks, your wallet is safe. The class was very engaging, and works out all of your body. My girlfriend had done Pilates once before, and she said this class was much more encompassing than the one she had done before. The equipment is in great shape, and everything is used: tower, balance stick, ball, box. Michelle helped me modify my station due to my height and helped with certain changes to the exercises for my girlfriend, as she had a foot injury a few months ago. I'm booked for Saturday for L1-L2. I love this gym. Back in January a friend suggested I try Pilates and recommended Body Couture. They were on my class pass so I gave it a shot. Since I have found a real love for Pilates, it is so much more than I ever imagined and I am working hard to make time for more. I visit the Ft Lauderdale area frequently and my friend and I tried this studio in January. I can't say enough about all the teachers and the owner Michelle. I love it there. I wish I could find a place like this in NY (you would think I could). My friend still goes to 4 classes per week for Pilates and I go anytime I am there. This past week when visiting not only did I take a few different type of Pilates classes but I also did a TRX class and a private boxing session with Michelle. Loved them both. I have never boxed before and it was exhilarating. I can't recommend this studio enough. I would give it more stars if I could. read more

I really wanted to love this place, especially after reading all of the great reviews. Unfortunately I had a less than desired experience with them. I booked a class on the mind body app and prepaid for the class, which started at 11am on a Saturday. I arrived to the studio at 10:55. When I walked in the class had already started. No big deal, I'll just check in and jump right in, how far along could they really be right? No one greeted me at the front desk and when I peeked my head in, I saw all of the Pilates machines were already in use, so not only did they start the class before the posted start time, they also gave my prepaid spot away. I understand that if I had not shown up at 11am they may give the spot to a waitlisted participant but it was given away before the class even began. Additionally, no one even called me to inquire if I was still planning on coming. read more

This is the best workout studio in Fort Lauderdale. Whatever kind of workout you are looking for - they have. The instructors are great and keep the workouts challenging and interesting. Kristina is an instructor who has a Pilates ab workout that is one of a kind!! If you want a fantastic spin class, take Samantha's class, best music for spin ever. Gabe, the owner, does an awesome job with upbeat spin and Pilates classes that keep you moving the entire workout. The people that workout here are all great too. There are all shapes, sizes and ages and everyone is nice and has a smile on their face. Pilates is the best all over body-strengthening, stretching and streamlining workout. No question. Everywhere I travel, I take classes. Most instructors are very good - as it takes dedication and quite a financial investment to get certified. So there are many good pilates instructors. But there is only one GABE. He teaches a hard class choreographed (yes!) to upbeat music. Queuing is precise and his timing and transitions make the class feel like a dance. I originally went to this studio because they are one of the few in Ft. Lauderdale that offers TRX suspension. The owner Gabe was my instructor and the class was great! I then started trying the pilates reformer with Kristina. I had 3 private lessons with her and then took her classes regularly. I love her, she is my favorite at Body Couture.
