However, I had a schedule conflict so called in to see if it was possible for me to switch to an earlier class. I spoke with Rose and she gladly was able to accommodate my request. I attended Matthew's 8:00 a.m. group class. Being that this is the beginning of my Pilates journey, Matthew did an incredible job at explaining what we were doing so that I fully understood each move. He was also giving feedback throughout the class and helping each person make adjustments as needed. I felt my muscles engaging and felt so satisfied about completing a solid, challenging workout. I also had the opportunity to speak with the owner of ProPilates, Tonka. She asked poignant questions to understand my fitness and personal goals. She also welcomed me to reach out to her for more information. I left feeling amazing and also appreciated the professionalism of the staff. Rose is so friendly! The gym is always clean and they have a lot of equipment options for a small gym. The classes are fun and challenging. It's been a few months of me going and I haven't run into any issues yet. The parking is in the garage of The Whitney and so far I haven't had any problems with finding a parking spot. This is also a 24 hour gym which is great! For only $60 per month it has almost everything I need plus I get to detoxify in the sauna!

He was super encouraging and knowledgeable, which was especially helpful as this was my first time ever using a reformer. All of my communication with the studio was through text, so it was easy. They provided information about their membership options at the end, but weren't pushy to join. I love Pilates because it's such a good workout and helps with both strength and flexibility without being high-impact. It is definitely expensive, and I hope to be able to do it one day when the economy is a bit better.
