We used PYM Air Duct Cleaning this past week to have everything cleaned. We are working on finishing our basement and we had them come after the drywall was up and taped. They were quick to respond to my phone call and scheduling was easy! I don't know a lot about air duct cleaning, but we had to have our air turned off while they were here. A couple of years ago my clothes dryer died and I bought another one. As it was being installed, the installer told me the air dryer duct was pretty thick with lint and debris and that I probably needed to have my ducts professionally cleaned. It's one of those things that never crossed my mind as needing to be done. I've lived in my house for 30 years and in all that time never had the ducts cleaned. I know now how hazardous that could be to my family's health and safety. I didn't know who to call but searched on Yelp and found PYM Air Duct Cleaning. They got good reviews so I called their number and spoke with Yuri on the phone. He explained to me what they do, quoted me a price and I made the appointment for about a week after the call. The workers arrived on time and went about their work. I could tell they knew what they were doing. It took them about 6 hours to clean all the ducts on my 2100 sq ft, ranch house and the dryer drum. They were very meticulous and thorough. There's no way I could have cleaned the ducts and my dryer myself so I was glad to have it professionally done by people with the right knowledge, equipment, and experience. I am a retired property manager, so I have a lot of experience with contractors. I highly recommend Yuriv Pomazov, of Pym Air Duct Cleaning for the following reasons: He is completely professional. He called 20 minutes before the appointment and arrived at the scheduled time. When he saw that I was wearing a mask, he put one on. He offered to wear protective "booties" over his shoes, but it was a dry day, and we have old carpeting and I told him it wasn't necessary. He was very thorough in his preparation to clean our ducts. Since it was a cold day and our garage door and back kitchen door were going to be open for hours, he covered the doorway with a thick cloth. Yuri used a commercial grade vacuum, an air compressor, and a scrubber he attached to a drill to clean out air ducts. Before he left he also cleaned our dryer vent, but actually what he did was also clean our dryer. He took it apart and carried the larger parts outside where he used the air compressor to get all of the lint and dirt off. Cleaning the dryer vent is a chore I do annually, and do not look forward to, so I am very happy he did it for me, and did a much better job than I ever could have. It should be noted that besides air duct cleaning Yuri's business card lists HVAC maintenance, water heaters and humidifiers, attic insulation, chimney sweeps, AC coil cleaning, carbon monoxide testing, and high efficiency air cleaners. I have read reviews from other customers where he performed repair services and they are favorable, like this one. I have listed Yuriv Pomazov as a "keeper" and will call on him for any future work that I need that he can do. He is honest, reasonably priced, and extremely dependable. read more

Clearly these guys know how to clean! Service completed in (2016) They came to the rental home I was living in at my landlords request after all 3 in my family had respiratory issues for more than a year. I wasn't the paying customer but I was the guy living in the house. Yuri? I think was his name. Wasn't exactly the most charming guy around. He was there to work not chat. While they were working I noticed the air ducts were wet on the outside... I was really confused by this. Turns out they found some small bits of asbestos on the exterior of the duct work and had wetted it to keep it from becoming airborne. They also wore heavy duty air filters on their faces and asked me not to come into the basement as they worked because the air might not be safe. Anyhow, they did every vent, every return, every everything. I watched pretty closely. I was really impressed with their work. I think they said they charged $450 for this house. It had multiple returns and quite a few vents. But it was a small 2br 1ba 900sq' home. read more

I had heard and read good things about PYM, so as a new homeowner needing air duct cleaning, I thought I'd give them a shot. Spoke with Yuri on a Monday late afternoon. While he sounded a bit rushed, he still answered my questions - which I appreciated - and then asked if it was okay to give me a call back in the evening to schedule the cleaning as he did not have the schedule in front of him. I agreed and ensured he had the number by which to reach me. I never heard back from him that night, so I called and left a voicemail the next morning. Another day and a half has passed and I've heard nothing. I wish I could give PYM a good review, but given the lack of reliability and inability to even follow through on their promise to call back and schedule a service, I'm not sure they even want my business. We called on Saturday for a quote and the owner was very informative. He was willing to do the job that day for a small extra fee, but we weren't in a rush. When they came, they worked quickly and efficiently. They answered any questions we had and talked for a few minutes after about things they'd noticed. House is a ranch with a finished basement. Yuri's cleaning service (because of his truck and the system contained within) is the only one I know of that can fully clean the main trunks from the one central point of access in the basement. Most air duct services will clean only the vents and returns but fail to clean the trunks. He's also installed an upgraded air filtration system. He knows his stuff and happily explains if you have questions. He does a thorough job and it will take some time to complete but you can be sure it's done properly read more

I've never had my ducts cleaned before and I trusted yelp to help me find the best and they didn't disappoint. PYM spent hours on my ducts cleaning out 60 years of dust. The reason I called then was I had a terrible odor coming from the ducts. It may have been a dead rodent yuck. When they were finished the smell was gone never to return. After hours cleaning they spent time answering questions and explaining our system and how to keep our house breathing. We had intakes closed we didn't know about. I told my husband I could tell they were passionate about their work and he said "if you're going to hire someone to do work on your house, wouldn't you want them to be passionate about it?" Had our ducts cleaned by PYM. Our house is an old ranch with recent remodeling, so the ducts were very dirty. Yuri did a thorough job and I can tell a significant difference after the ducts were cleaned. It took almost 11 hours to clean our ducts -- we have two furnaces and some extra challenges. Had PYM out for a duct cleaning. Yuri, the owner, is the one answering phone and doing the work. He had a partner with him. They worked hard, and surely earned their money (very reasonable price). They have a big, nice, professional truck; there was no up sale, no flakiness, no issues. (Like with some duct cleaners) I moved into an older house, and duct cleaning is a must in such a situation. These guys are very thorough, and careful not to track dirt and such into your house. This is who you should call for duct cleaning!
