We had one issue with our first tree replacement that died pretty quickly after they planted it. But that was really because I wanted a particular tree that didn't bode well in full sun. Affordable tree service then suggested a better tree for the area and that we wait until after the summer months to plant it so that it had a better chance to survive. They then made the replacement with no cost to us. I would highly recommend using Affordable Tree Service for any tree or bush replacements you need done. It's the perks of working with a large legit company but with the service level and personal touch that you get with a small business. Rey showed up on time and in roughly 30 minutes, had both of my palms trimmed and had cut all the oleander he was going to remove, cut down to the stump. Unfortunately, his "stumper" was too big to get through my gate into the yard so he went to Home Depot and rented one that we could get back there. At my expense of course. He returned the next day and finished grinding the stumps down in short order. Mind you, I have not been asked for a penny in the way of a deposit thus far. Jessica in the office is sending an invoice for me to pay now that the job has been completed. Both Jessica and Rey were completely professional and friendly. Palm trimming was 50 per palm and Oleander tree removal was 150 per tree. Rey cleaned up and hauled away everything leaving my yard clean and neat looking. They advise to trim the trees during the winter when the trees are dormant. Because of that I stopped my search and took their advice. I used this company in the past and was satisfied. Not this time. I specifically asked them to trim…read moreand shape the crown of the tree for crown reduction. They trimmed only what they could reach with hand tools never using the bucket to address the top of the tree. The tree is taller than my home. When they announced they were done, I pointed out they hadn't reduced the crown. I also pointed out there were branches still encroaching on my home, extending over my neighbors property and extending over the sidewalk. Aren't these basic issues to address when tree trimming that the customer shouldn't need to point out? So now I'm not feeling confident they know what they are doing. The crew was three men. Only one of which acted like they could understand English. He told the other guys to get the bucket, they didn't. He asked them, "Do you understand?" They acted like they couldn't understand so I had to walk around the tree pointing and gesturing. The top branches of the tree were never taken care of. No longer feeling confident in this crew and seeing they couldn't communicate with each other, I gave up. I called the office and left a message asking for a call back. I never got one. I sent an email complaining and Raymond Gutierrez responding saying he drove by and took pictures and was of the opinion the tree was fine. He did admit that the crew did not see the shaping on the work order and offered a $40 price reduction. Half the job was done and he thinks $40 off is the proper resolution? Michelle then followed up with a passive aggressive, condescending and sarcastic email. She said she was sorry that I found it inconvenient to have to check the crew's work (I never said that). She said they can't put branches back on once they are removed. Really, I had no idea, Michelle. And then she told me the crew has been together for a long time and can communicate with each other and that Keith is just a joker and his humor is not to everyone's taste. So I'm supposed to find it funny that they pretended not to be able to communicate? I'm supposed to appreciate that clown show? After much back and forth, Raymond did offer to send this crew back to my home. Are you kidding, no way I'm letting this crew back on my property. How about do the job right the first time and not try to gaslight me into believing it was? How about a REAL reduction in the bill to reflect the fact the job wasn't completed properly? I was given a quote and e-mailed him back his form asking for my signature. I signed it! He shared he was busy..... Here I am, calling his "office" for a date to come out. The usual run around, no call. I called again this last Tuesday, and was told by staff, she would get ahold of Shane and would text me back, very soon. No text! So, last night, I called and declined his service! He called this morning and told me my Ash tree would not make it! Then why are you not here sooner than later? if earlier you could help me? He then said, he could do 1/2 a treatment for more than half my quoted price. Really?NOT!! I have been "treating" my landscape with something that Kelly (Star Nursery -Cheyenne) recommended, and I notice there is more green color on Cypress and new growth on my Ash tree. Shane did not care, offered nothing but a "busy" schedule, and a so-called price reduction to still be a sham! He is based out of Henderson and I am NW Vegas. He should not have accepted this job if he's worried about his gas. Gas did come up in our conversation! I could go on about his personality,too, but you get the idea!
