We ended up buying a 2015 Sole F63 that seems to be in amazing condition and a 2017 Nordictrak Freestyle (we can't stop calling it The Monster, this thing is F.U.N.) that is in incredible condition. Both pieces feel very new and hardly used. I really want to Thank all the guys who really made the shopping experience a fun memory and moment for my mom and I. From Zach, to Clint, to one of the owner's Beau, and other Zach (Beau and "other" Zach delivered our equipment and were just as fun). This is when they are new now and right there I decided FORGET THIS! The attendant already told me to get the promo you have to "join" and there is a monthly $6 fee. Whaaaaat? That is more than Costco! You gotta be kidding, but NO! Oh you can just stop the fee by letting them know each month. Ah but you have to remember to do it! Now I really want out of here fast. This sounds AWFUL! The sales gal was nice, but I found the rest to be terrible. They probably get these shorts en masse for a buck or something. Ive been to Vietnams clothing factories. I was approached by an individual who identified himself as the manager, "Chris." I calmly explained what had occurred and expressed my disappointment. His response was dismissive, sarcastic, and lacked any concern or empathy. When I stated that I would be posting a Yelp review regarding the experience, he replied "thank you very much" in a sarcastic manner. As I turned to leave, he began calling my name loudly and aggressively. I exited the store. I later contacted Academy Sports corporate customer service and spoke with an individual named Sev, who identified himself as a Customer Service Supervisor. I explained the entire situation. He expressed concern and stated that he would call me back the same day. I did not receive a call back. When I contacted customer service again, I was told that Sev had emailed me. It was later determined the email had been sent to the wrong address. Once I finally received the email at the correct address, I was informed that he was too busy to call me. This experience gave the clear impression that my complaint was not taken seriously and was simply dismissed. Customer service at both the store and corporate levels was disappointing. For comparison, I have shopped at the Academy Sports location in Cumming, Georgia, and received excellent service there. Unfortunately, that was not the case at this location. I will not be returning.
